Our 12 night stay at the Kenwood Oaks Guest House was a pure delight. We were looking for a dog-friendly getaway to spend the Christmas and New Year's holidays, and the Cottage fit the bill perfectly. While we stayed in the pet-friendly Cottage, we toured the main house and the rooms were beautiful as well. We were initially concerned about the weather, but the weather was actually quite nice, even with the occasional rain. The setting of this B&B is beautiful even in the middle of winter. The Cottage is fully equipped with just about anything you would want, and the washer and dryer in the unit came in handy on our long stay. The grounds are so beautiful and relaxing, with horses, Honey the dog (and visiting Annie), as well as Moxie the cat who lives in the barn. While the main house and Cottage are both first rate facilities, the real star here is the owner, Joan. She truly goes far beyond expectations of a host, catering to any and all needs. She gladly provides helpful information about area attractions and discounted coupons for wine tastings. She is constantly replenishing all the generous provisions in the Cottage and inquiring as to what more she can do for you. This is truly a level of service beyond our experience. She somehow manages to make you feel welcomed as a guest, but also as a friend as well. We leave reluctantly, feeling that we have a friend for life in Joan, and look forward to a return visit. We can't recommend Joan and her Guest House highly enough!

We lucked out and had the house to ourselves -- well, with the wonderful calming Joan, Moxie & Honey. It was beautiful, peaceful, and perfect. We couldn't have picked a better place for our Sonoma visit.

We travel often and stay at many different types of places. Kenwood Oaks Guest House is a gem. We celebrated my mom in laws 80th birthday and stayed 4 nights. We rented the guest house for us and a room in the main house for our mom. It was clean, quiet, and beautiful. The Inn is tucked away and very private but very accessible to everything in the area. Joan is very thoughtful and cares about her guests. I highly recommend staying here if you are exploring options. You will not be sorry.

Joan was a great hostess all weekend. Our room (Valley Oaks) was quiet, spacious, and comfortable. Highlights include the jacuzzi tub and fresh fruit from Joan's garden at breakfast. I'd definitely stay here again!

Directions to property:
Once on Highway 12, which runs between Sonoma and Santa Rosa in Sonoma County, we are almost exactly between the two. There is a traffic signal on Highway 12 in Kenwood for Warm Springs Road, and once on Warm Springs, our driveway is exactly 7/10 of a mile down the road. The driveway is unmarked, but there is a yellow sun across from the entrance, and you turn left off of Warm Springs Road. Follow the signs; we are the SECOND property up the drive, with a paved round driveway.
