My friend and I booked a trip to Idyllwild as an escape from Los Angeles. Neither of us had been here before so we had no idea what to expect. The inn is located within walking distance to town and was impeccable. John is an amazing host, wonderful cook, incredibly kind and takes pride in what he does. The inn was clean, comfortable, welcoming, charming, peaceful and delightful. Our room had a private bathroom, small refrigerator, tv, books and more than enough space for two guests. It really was perfect. The balcony, which was facing the back yard, had an incredible view of nature and the yard itself was adorable and perfect for a small wedding or celebration. We are definitely coming back to visit. It was the perfect getaway.

We stopped here as a lay over from a long motor cycle ride. It was so relaxing we stayed another night. We are always made to feel welcome.

This is a fantastic inn. Clean and comfortable. John, the owner, is a wonderful host and an incredible cook. My daughter was a student at IAA, and I wish I would have found the inn sooner. If I had, it would have been my regular stop.

Had a delightful time at the Rainbow Inn bed and breakfast. The Inn is hosted by John, who is a very talented chef and photographer. He's very knowledgeable about the area too. The grounds have great rustic charm, and it may be hard for you to drag yourself away from them to enjoy all the other charms of the area. That's okay ... just book a couple more days so you can do both. Hope to get back there soon!
