Living in Sonoma County I feel as if I've already found my slice of heaven but a muchly anticipated weekend landed my husband & four of our friends in another spot that could use this descriptor! Of course, this vist was a first time for only one of the other couples. As in our previous visits, our rooms were wonderful, the staff, totally attentive & our meals in the restaurant yummy. The bar provides a comfortable spot for cocktails, although we would have liked for it to open earlier -- does that sound bad?! This time our visit included a winemaker dinner featuring McNab Ridge & Rich Parducci-what a treat! The wines were good & the chef did an excellent job with the food pairing. The portions, on both counts, were quite generous. Even tho' the weather didn't cooperate fully, it never interferred with our plans. This is a great place for a grownup getaway!

    A wonderful place

We had a great time at the Benbow Inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful - especially JoAnne at the front desk. The bartender Mike is the best bartender we have ever encountered! Food was excellent and views from the patio of our room were stunning - redwood trees, a historic bridge over the Eel River and gardens with colorful flowers.
