Twenty Mile House

Great hospitality, terrific food, and a fabulous house! Best of all, I did not have to breathe toxic secondhand smoke. Thank you for being 100% smoke-free!!!

My wife and I are so happy we stumbled upon this beautiful place. We were looking for a place to spend our 15 year wedding anniversary and just came across the Twenty Mile House while browsing the web. We stayed in the Creekside cabin which provided us with all the amenities and lots of space to really relax and enjoy a great getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed including freshly ground organic coffee - that was a nice treat! Nice comfortable living room and we loved the bedroom which sits over a creek and has great windows providing views of the forest. We spoiled ourselves with breakfast one morning at the main house bed and breakfast and Kevin the owner served us a delicious generous breakfast of his house favorite Banagaku (Finnish pancake) - delicious -, along with potatoes, fresh fruit and chicken sausage. Kevin was very welcoming and friendly and shared the amazing history of the place dating back to 1854. The main house is very charming and has beautiful gardens and we would consider coming back and next time trying out one of the rooms in the bed and breakfast. Overall we really loved our stay and will be back.

I've stayed at the 20 mile house many times, it is one of my favorite places to vacation ever! I've stayed in the creek side cabin by my self one winter to write music, and my wife and I have stayed together in the big 20 mile house on two different occasions. The whole area is absolutely beautiful, trees, mountains, creeks and rivers. It's a great place for hiking, swimming, relaxing and just getting away from it all. I highly recommend a visit, the longer you stay the better you feel.
