    The Hofsas House Hotel is a boutique family-owned inn with 38 uniquely decorated, spacious rooms, many with ocean views overlooking the pines in the village of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Dutch doors appoint each room allowing our guests to enjoy the fresh ocean air. Our guests watch glorious sunsets over the Pacific Ocean from the privacy of the Inn's decks or rooms. Some rooms and most suites have fireplaces, private balconies, wet bars or kitchens. The Hofsas House is located three blocks north of Ocean Avenue, eight blocks from the picturesque white sand Carmel beach and one block from a child-friendly City park. There is plenty of off-street parking and guests delight in walking everywhere in Carmel from the inn. Enjoy a continental breakfast in the morning with French Roast coffee, tea, fresh pastries delivered from a local bakery, juice and fruit.       From the North: Take Highway 101 South past Gilroy. Look for the Monterey Peninsula turnoff for Highway 156 going West. After about 5 miles this will take you to Highway 1 which you want to go South on. Proceed on Highway 1 going past Monterey and look for the Carpenter Street turnoff. Turn right on Carpenter Street and within a half a block, stay to the right and veer onto Serra Avenue. Continue along until the stop sign and the Father Serra statue and turn left onto Camino Del Monte. Continue along past the next stop sign and the HosfasHouse will appear to your right because Camino Del Monte turns into San Carlos Street. Pull into the driveway to register. From the South: From LA taking the scenic Highway 1 -- Continue along Highway 1 past Big Sur and the Crossroads Shopping Center. Turn left on Ocean Avenue and continue past the first stop sign. Proceed down the hill into the village of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Continue for three blocks and turn right onto San Carlos Street. Stay on San Carlos past 4th Avenue. The Hosfas house is the last hotel on the left. Turn left into the driveway to register.

    • Directions to property:
      Exit the airport and turn right on Highway 68 going west. Continue along a couple of miles until it runs into Highway 1. Stay to the left and merge onto Highway 1 going south. Proceed on Highway 1 past Monterey until you see the Carmel, Carpenter Street exit. Turn right on Carpenter Street and within half a block, stay to the right and veer onto Serra Avenue. Continue along until the stop sign and the Father Serra statue and turn left onto Camino Del Monte. Continue along past the next stop sign and the Hofsas House will appear ro your right because Camino Del monte turns into San Carlos Street. Pull into the driveway to register.
