This bed and breakfast was absolutely charming. And the beds were so comfortable, I slept better than I have in years.

My husband and I, along with our two dogs, spent 2 days in Carmel at the Forest Lodge. We originally wanted to stay at the Lamplighter, but they were full. We were not familiar with Forest Lodge, but we were pleasantly surprised and happy with our stay. It was a great way to spend our 35th anniversary.

My husband & I stayed at the Forest Lodge for a weekend get-a-way and I HIGHLY recommend it! The room was tastefully decorated, sweet, charming, and in the perfect location. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and guided us to the right spots. We were given tokens to exchange for breakfast at a local, organic cafe in the heart of downtown Carmel. The food & service were excellent. We loved the owners thoughtful consideration for the environment while remodeling the Forest Lodge. The cottages are nestled at the edge of town in a peaceful forested setting. It's an easy stroll down the street to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. I can't wait to return!
