    Wonderful Stay

    September 08, 2012

Stayed 4 nights in the wine suite. Loved the new Spa and the convenience of the room with parking right outside the private entrance into the suite. The breakfast was great with the Fruit being incredibilly fresh. First stay at a B&B and loved it.

    BEST GET AWAY EXPERIENCE EVER!!

    June 27, 2012

Everything was perfect!! The owners are amazing & the place is incredible! Beautiful rooms, beautiful location, and relaxing environment. We enjoyed every detail immensely from the fresh flowers in our room to the smooth port and chocolates, whirlpool jacuzzi, as well as the spa off the patio & indoor heated pool. A top notch gourmet breakfast was elegantly served with fresh squeezed orange juice and other delectable dishes. The Epps had great recommendations for dinner at JoLe and the most incredible spa and massage at Lavender Hill. We can't say anything bad about it & highly recommend it.

    Peaceful

    May 30, 2012

My husband and I stayed in the forest room. it felt like we were a guest in someone's home! We were given a tour of all the rooms ! WOW! They are all so pretty! We had a lovely view of the trees in back of the Mansion. The room felt old world comfortable and inviting, nice touch with wine in the room! The afternoon wine and cheese service is personable I felt like I was in their home. Then to top it all off the great breakfast served at a well layed table is home cooked, gourmet, with fresh fruit on display on a plate served to you with fresh brewed coffee and fresh squeezed OJ ! Meeting the other guests at the breakfast table ,or the wine and cheese service , is an intimate feeling, adding a warmth you don't get at a hotel. Though other guests were in the house , we never heard them or felt crowded, privacy is well maintained The pool is indoors and very refreshing, heated but not to much, loved the hot tub that is in the back surrounded by a bamboo enclosure, giving it an intimate outdoor space. We really enjoyed our stay, and even though we only live 30 minutes away, we felt in another world and away from the hustle and bustle. The Mansion is in walking distance to a great little town of Calistoga that has great restaurants. Best of all the wine country is at your feet to explore in any way you wish , car, bike or hired Limo. What a lovely place to start and end your day in the wine country I recommend you go there and exhale !!!!

    waste of money

    September 28, 2011

Room was musty smellilng, bathroom smelled like pee, baseboards dusty. Breakfast consisted of a baked apple per person and a tiny piece of potato casserole type thing with a few pieces of ham on it, very disappointing for almost $400.00 a night. Won't be back and would not recommend.

    September 05, 2011

The breakfast was phenominal. The place was clean and well kept. The pool and jacuzzi were awesome. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. There is also a great walking trail that if you go to the end is a 4 mile walk round trip. We loved our stay!

    Carriage House Suite

    June 15, 2010

What a great little suite! We stayed in the Carriage House Suite (Separate from the Main House) and it was wonderful. This Suite has a Bedroom, Open Loft with a Bed, Bathroom, Living Room area with Fireplace & TV, Small Kitchen with Table Area. The House sits above the Main House and was very private. My Hubby, His Parents and I were in the area for a couple of wine events and this place was great. We were able to enjoy our events and then return to the House and relax before bed in the living area without bothering any other guests. Breakfast was served in the dining room. It was wonderful starting with scones and baked apples to a egg-potato quiche. The Carriage House did have its own coffee maker so coffee was available before breakfast was served. My only comment would be to provide the Carriage House with cream (not powdered cream) for the coffee so everyone can enjoy the coffee without a walk to the main house. The town of Calistoga was very enjoyable - shops, restaurants, and even an open beer garden with live music during our stay. We will put this place in our return to pile!!
