Baywood Inn Bed & Breakfast

A gem! So quiet and lovely yet close to the other Central Coast POIs. While there's fog on the coast, no problem, go inland a few feet and the sun shines! Cape Cod suite is delightful and after a tour of the other rooms I think there is a decor or layout to suit almost everyone. We enjoyed the breakfast coupons for near by local cafes to try different menus and really help the local economy in the tiny paradise of Baywood. Return? Oh yeah.

We needed our GPS to find this Inn. The room was very comfortable and reasonable value but the dining arrangements were a serious letdown for us. We had hoped for more choice in the evening and the two breakfast options were close by but only had outdoor seating which was uncomfortable in the cold damp weather.

When checking in the personnel were professional but lacked warmth. When checking out, the instructions noted to give the keys to the office but one one was at the office even though in was posted office hours so left key in the room and was not able to lock the room. Room was nice and the view of the bay and surrounding area was real nice.

Each room has a different theme. Options for breakfast. Will stay again

Traveling on business. Hotel/motel rooms are very expensive in that area. Very pleased to find this lovely place. And was within my companies lodging stipend. Rooms aregorgeously decorated with different themes. Location was very peaceful and beautiful. breakfast was a tiny cafe across the street. Not good when it's raining. Made up for it with generous free wine tasting. Brought my wife. very romantic. We will definetly look to return when I'm in the area for business.

Everything at the Baywood Inn was excellent - just how we remembered it the time before; we plan to keep coming back. Tremendous value for such a wonderful place to stay, gorgeous view of the bay and very friendly and helpful staff. Only downside was the Mexican restaurant next door is never open for breakfast when they say they will be open, but the other two options for breakfast are great.

Stayed here during our honeymoon and have been back two or three times since. Offers an amazing view of shallow end of Morro Bay (Great place for Birdwatchers to watch ducks, grebes, etc...). Rooms are decorated very well and always very clean. Don't get the impression of overdoing the quaintness that I feel at some other places with themed rooms. They provide a better assortment of complimentary items then I'm use to. I feel the price is really good given the area where you can spend the same amount for a chain hotel. Complimentary breakfast is available at three restaurants immediately adjacent to the property. We only tried one of the options this last time and while the food was good the service was slow.

Why stay in a motel when you can have a quaintly decorated room on the bay? Great view. Great access to hiking and walking activities. Good location for wine-tasting, north or south!

From it's description, I thought this Inn would be on the beach, but it was not. It was off season and we received a coupon to have breakfast at a restaurant closeby, a disappointing experience. The room was very attractive- I would give it 3 stars for cleanliness. Service was good. I would not stay there again.

We really appreciated having two rooms and the complimentary water, soda, and iced tea. We loved the small town feel which was most noticable during our meals with the locals. The location is great! It's right off the highway and close enough to many attractions in the area. During our 8 night vacation from San Francisco to San Diego, this was by far the best value! We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and hope to get out there again someday. Syracuse, NY

This is the second time we've had trouble getting breakfast at the mexican restaurant next door (La Palapa). There are other options, but if La Palapa isn't going to open when they say they will, they should be removed as an option. La Palapa was supposed to open at 8:30, when we checked for the third time at 9:15 and they still were'n't open, we went to the Good Tides Coffee house. Good Tides was good but it's not a "sit-down" place. We wanted to have breakfast then start our day of sightseeing, but this waiting around through-off our day.

We have stayed here many times on our way from Arizona to San Francisco and we love it! Each room is beautiful and the view is great!

We selected this inn due to the close proximity to my parents house. I have been by this inn for many years and this was the first time staying here. The stay was exceptional, comfortable and roomy. The options for breakfast were great, didnt get to the wine offerings.

The room was nicely arranged and the complimentary drinks and snacks were great! However, we did have an uninvited guest (mouse) that shared the room with us. We were alittle disappointed that the option for the Mexican breakfast was not available; they were not open. The Baywood Cafe (outdoor seating) was delightful since the sun was shining. The food was fresh, but alittle skimpy. I had to pay for more fruit.

Our family of 4 had a great stay at Baywood Inn B&B. Our accommodations were spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and fairly new --- not your typical B&B at all. The rooms were also very reasonably priced. Breakfast vouchers were given for breakfast next door or across the street at a local restaurant. The food was very good and there was a nice local neighborhood feel to the restaurants. We tried both and they were very good and even in January they were both set up for dining outdoors -- what a treat! There was also a laundromat conveniently located just down the street as well as several other local restaurants. The Thai restaurant was great! The area itself is very quiet but there are many things to do within a short drive. This was the perfect restful retreat halfway through our weeklong family vacation.

We were celebrating our 39th anniversary. We have stayed at the Baywood several times for our anniversary and we always look forward to returning. We have stayed in several of the different rooms, but we were able to book our favorite this time. We had glorious weather also, which added to the beauty of the central coast area.

The Baywood folks are a truly hospitable bunch. Made us totally welcome and cheerfully upgraded our room when a problem developed with our originial choice. Excellent breakfasts "in the neighborhood", especially at the Back Bay Cafe right across the street with open air views to the bay, birds and flowers along with their yummy food, sunny personalities and the NY Times offered gratis. Close to Morro Bay and wonderful state parks. Excellent birding and other wildlife viewing. Friendly and truly laid back. Great energy for world weary travelers needing a break from it all. Stay here!!!

The peaceful, cozy rooms, theme-appointed rooms paired with the nature's finest bay just steps away beckon us at least once a year for the past ten years. The Baywood Inn's staff is eager to please and we like having choices of where to get our breakfast.

We are from the bay area and wanted a quiet weekend getaway. We stayed here at the Briar Rose. It was one of the best decors I have experienced. We particularly liked the wood vanity. The views on the second floor though would be a little better than downstairs. We really enjoyed the evening wine.

We have been coming to this lovely place since they opened in the 1990's. It is definitely one of our favorite getaways. We do have a few favorite rooms, but all of the rooms are charming and decorated with a special individual theme. It is very clean and I love how there is always complimentary bottle water and sodas in the refrigerator along with a microwave for pop corn or hot tea or cocoa.

We were really pleased with out stay! The room was clean and very spacious. We had an incredible view of the bay being as we were right on the water!. While there were DVDs to watch, we had too much fun enjoying our stay in Los Osos. We definitely would recommend this place to stay to friends and when we're in the area will stay here again.

The room (La Provence) was absolutely charming. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The bed is very very comfy and I especailly loved the fireplace, which kept the room cozy. I loved the peace and quiet of Baywood. It's a great little get away with amazing sunsets and very friendly people. Baywood Inn staff was very helpful, although sometimes hard to contact. I will definitely return, as the off season rates are fantastic. Don't expect great cuisine in Baywood, although there are planety of decent restaurants a short drive away. I highly recommend Baywood Inn if you want a peaceful get-away.

We did a B&B tour of the California coast this past New Year's holiday and of the ones we stayed at, Baywood Inn was the best value, cleanest, and had the nicest rooms. I would easily recommend this site to anyone interested in staying at a first-rate B&B.

Very tranquil and an ideal location to get away from the hustle and bustle

Always a treat to stay at the Baywood Inn. The rooms are all different, the staff is friendly, the view is great, a good value for the money, and nice and quiet. What else could you want?

Clean and homey, a fireplace in every room, and comfortable beds, plus a choice of places to have breakfast. A lovely, quiet, away from the madding crowds get-away.

The room was the best we stayed in over a 3 week period touring California and Nevada. Bed and room and toilet fittings were of a high standard and everything worked including the fire. We had difficulty finding the inn at night as it is a bit off the beaten track and the sign post wasn't lit-up. The only negative aspects were the service at night was only just ok and we had to chase them up in the morning. Nobody was around at 9 o'clock then a slightly surly young woman arrived about 15 minutes late without apology of any kind and proceeded to key in the credit card wrongly. It might have been an off day but it took the edge off a really nice place with a lot of potential. We would consider staying there again.

Beautiful view, lovely room. Stayed at the La Provence room and everything was just right. Quiet neighborhood, friendly staff, affordable price. All in all a very nice experience. The breakfast spot was a bit disappointing but everything else was wonderful. We'll be back.

It was a great stay in every way. The only complaint was the electrical outlet in our bathroom did not work. So a little inconvenient not being able to dry hair in our room. Wonderful otherwise. Made for a wonderful reunion with my family and friends.

We were so impressed with our stay. The staff from the absolute beginning was awesome. The food was also amazing. We were on our "Honeymoon" and they even brought us flowers and a "Toast" to our room. We have told our friends about the wonderful experience we had and we will also be back. Thank you!

This is a lovely facility. The bayside setting is picturesque and very quiet. Our room was spacious and well apointed. We had a wonderful time. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our weekend stay at The Baywood Inn! We found The Country Cottage room to be very cozy and inviting! It is somewhat dated in the decor department and the wall outlets need to be repaced, however, no other complaints and would highly recomend the Inn to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing and romantic getaway! We are looking forward to our next stay there, the view is breathtaking!

We booked for one nite but enjoyed it soo much we stayed for two. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. 3 options for breakfast voucher, loved the wine social. Also great pizza at Brigadones and Thai food up the street. You never have to get in your car unless you want to get to Sand Spit Beach and spend the day. The Inn manager Maria is the best. Very accommodating to your requests. We totally enjoyed our stay and will return.

My wife and I stayed on our wedding night. The staff was accommodating the room clean and spacious and the view of the bay was awesome. We stayed in the Cape Cod room and plan to go back for a longer stay.

This was my first experience at a bed and breakfast. My wife and I were refered to the Baywood Inn as it is close to my nephew and his wife's home. It was an excellent choice. We will stay there again when we go to Los Osos.

We arrived mid afternoon. Desk receptionist (and host for the cocktail hour) was very pleasant and helpful. Great view from our room on the second floor. Room was light and colorful. Room configuration was good. Bathroom exhaust and heater appear dated and in need of remedial adjustment as does the one downstairs. Vibration from these items are quite notable. Suggest bleach or re-caulking of one section of the shower. Otherwise room was beyond reproach. Cocktail hour at the adjoining Mexican restaurant was somewhat curious. Although the wine was of good quality, chips and salsa as an accompaniment do not seem to match. Maybe me, but beer seems better associated with this food item and that was not offered. Of the three restaurant choices for breakfast, opted for a return to the Mexican restaurant. Quite filling and tasty entrees. Server was very accommodating.

We loved the Baywood Inn! The rooms were nice, great bathroom and nice amenities,and the area is beautiful! I would recommend this place to all my friends!

The owners have done a fine job in converting an office building into a pleasant B&B. The rooms are spacious; we enjoyed the relative simplicity of the Santa Fe room. The Baywood provides an excellent 'home base'' for exploring Montana De Oro and other nearby attractions. The breakfasts are provided via arrangement with nearby restaurants. We found the cafe across the street to be a good place to enjoy a simple breakfast outdoors. It is popular with locals, and the service is surprisingly good given the modest staff, the choices, and the throughput of early risers. I'm not certain how well any of the breakfast options would work during unpleasant weather (they are geared to outdoor dining). The wireless internet service was intermittent; the owners are aware of the problem, and I expect it to be addressed.

We stayed at the Baywood Inn on our trip from LA to Portland and had an amazing stay...The girl who checked us in went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and at home.... This was my second stay at the Baywood Inn and I plan to return again and again. It is a lovely place for a personal retreat - only you will want to strike up a conversation with the friendly locals who help to create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the small town of Baywood Park.

Really enjoyed my stay. Especially the separate sitting room with fire place. The bath was large and very clean. Daily drinks and snacks were a nice touch too. The Queen Victoria sweet was fun even though I am not much on pink. Would love to stay here again. Penn Frazer, St. Augustine, FL

We love this place. The rooms are comfortable, the location is ideal, the weather was fabulous and the amenities just capped the weekend.

I love the Baywood Inn. Not only are the rooms charming, well stocked and clean, the staff is the BEST! You get so much bang for your buck at this place. Goodies in your room, a great breakfast and wine tasting all included. The staff and especially the Manager, Maria will go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed and taken care of. I would recommend this place to anybody!! Great view too from the rooms facing the bay!

This was my 5th visit so I knew just what to expect, making it hard to exceed my expectation. In the Tex-Mex room they could make sure that the windows all had screens, in that there is no A/C. One outlet was broken and the one in the bathroom did not work at all. The staff was delightful and helpful

What a wonderful, relaxing spot to conclude out week-long vacation. Upon check-in, we were escorted to our room! (Before going to our room, I must mention the cookies and candy in the lobby.) We were surprised to find drinks in the frig and popcorn, hot cocoa, tea, and granola bars on the microwave -- all complimentary! They had a computer with internet access available for use on the premises, as well as a bookshelf of dvds we could use in our room for free. We were in the Cape Cod room, which was absolutely wonderful. It was more like a suite, with a separate living room. Baywood Inn is definitely a place I would like to stay at again. I must say, though, that after coming from Big Sur, there's not a whole lot to do right there in the area. Our son had stayed here for a night while on his honeymoon a few months earlier and said the accommodations here were better than their place in Maui! So if you are looking for a place to stay along the way, this is the place for you. You won't be disappointed!

We have stayed here many times over 20 years and love the location. Rooms could use a more thorough cleaning/dusting but otherwise ok. Bed linens were not fresh on arrival. Value is great. We liked the new breakfast choice at New Tides. Small but friendly and good food. We enjoy the leisurely pace.

Very tranquil spot. Breakfast was served across the street at the Tides. Best Blackberry scones I have ever eaten; all fresh food and we ate outside by the bay. Definitely would return!

Baywood Inn is simply the most pleasant place to stay, especially if you enjoy watching the tides fill and empty the bay, being away from the crowds, relaxing in spacious, thematic rooms, and dining on delicious, organic, individually prepared meals. We go back year after year for a restful getaway.

Baywood was our first stop after leaving Los Angeles to drive to San Francisco along the west coast. The staff is very nice and the check in and check out is easy and fast. Our room, "Briar Rose", was very charming. It was clean and confortable, and although the room was at the ground floor near the parking, the place is quiet and there was no noise. You can choose where to take your breakfast between three different places, we chose the cafe, and it was great. The views are very beautiful.

The room was clean and quiet with an incredible view. The decor was very dated, but I would stay here again because of the location.

WOW!! This was our final night for our vacation. We arrived late at night. The room was beautiful; and the morning view of the back bay was a welcomed sight. We ate at the cafe across the street- bacon quiche-yum!! and their Pecan baked French toast was fantastic. We have told many about this B&B and would enjoy a return visit sometime.

Room with king bed was fine. Would have preferred TV in bedroom as the living room area furniture wasn't too comfortable. Office wasn't always staffed. Had to go off site for breakfast which was very good but I would have like both juice and coffee. Nice location across from bay. Only three rooms were occupied so it was very quiet.

The room was comfortable and accommodating for two people who sleep separately. Views were beautiful. Best of all was the Good Tides cafe just a few steps away - we had both dinner and breakfast there, and were very pleased with the food, value, and good cheer of the staff there.

We were in the Country Cottage last time and the Cape Cod this time. Both very cute and comfortable rooms. With a rollaway bed next to the king bed, our family of three fit comfortably, with the added benefit of having a separate living room for relaxing after our son was in bed. The shower head was a bit weak, but all other amenities were satisfactory. Love the treats and cookies, and enjoyed breakfast at the Good Tides Cafe.

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet neighborhood. The rooms are nicely decorated, but not very private. I felt that the windows needed better covering, like drapes or better shutters. There was room noise from upstairs. The rooms were well appointed with amenities like good-quality body products and a DVD player and free snacks & water. The desk clerks were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a meal ticket to nearby cafes, but they are not all open or available every day, and that was a bit confusing. We had good food at the Back Bay Cafe across the street, but had to sit outside, dress warm. There is a bar nearby and a liquor-market and good pizza place to take pizza to your room. Thanks Baywood for a nice stay.

Off the beaten path but always dependable. The suites are priced right, well appointed, and spacious. Always stay here when in Central California, hope to be back soon.

The Baywood Inn is close enough to the wine country yet the tempo and pace of life is worlds away. We were able to accomplish both our goals of enjoying time wine tasting in some of our favorite places and relaxing in one of the most beautiful settings. A real gem and great value.

We loved our stay!! We stayed in the Cape Cod room at the Baywood Inn. Worth every penny! The bed was comfortable! The room was clean and beautifully decorated! Loved the view of the bay across the street! They gave us vouchers for two different Breakfast cafes close by. The one across the street served delicious breakfast and coffee. They were friendly too! The Baywood Inn had videos we could watch and complimentary snacks in the room. It was our favorite Bed & Breakfast we stayed at during our week long trip together.

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon the Baywood Inn B&B and we really enjoyed it. The staff was really friendly and the accomodations were very comfortable. If I am in the area again, I shall stay here again.

This is a hidden treasure! The views, peace and quite and friendly staff were a pleasure to experience. The Back Bay cafe across the street was a true delight. I had the Banana Foster Bread and came home and found the recipe online. Will definitely be back again.

We needed to get away. I found Baywood Inn on the internet, but was a little nervous, not having anyone refer it to me. It was excellent!. The room was great and the view was spectacular. Thanks Baywood Inn you made our getaway perfect

Had to get a room in Los Osos for a memorial service...not a lot of options in the area, so I expected the worst. The Baywood Inn was a pleasant surpise...nice rooms, close to the water, dining nearby...loved it.

Beautiful location, peaceful charming Los Osos and convenient to all our wants and needs. But the people made our graduation weekend including our dinner for 15 ( with one very active toddler) at the La Palapa the most enjoyable experience ever. Our large family only gets together for BIG occasions and you all made it perfect. Loved the Tex Mex rooms, clean comfortable and big. Thank you all very very much.

We stayed at Baywood Inn over 10 years ago. During this last stay not much has changed - still a laid back sleepy location and nice rooms with great water views.

Convenient location in Baywood. Daily breakfast voucher gave great flexibility to choose from among several eating outlets within a short walk. Decor of room is a bit cheesy (especially the foot stool in the living room) and the TV should really be located there and not in the bedroom. Be careful with the gas fireplace which does not have an automatic ignition. Matches provided are safety matches with the striking surface located in the bottom of the match container -- the written instructions don't mention that. Maid service was good, but office staff is not particularly friendly and there always seems to be various friends or relatives of the person manning the desk hanging out in the lobby so that you feel like you are intruding on a family gathering. When we have stayed at the Inn in years past, this was not the case, so maybe there has been a change of ownership.

This was our second stay at the Baywood Inn. We love the quiet neighborhood and the size of the rooms. Breakfast is actually served at two local cafes rather than at the inn itself. This is different than most bed and breakfasts but works well. The inn is very close to Morro Bay but out of the hustle and bustle. We love it.

I love the Baywood Inn, so much that I made a reservation for the following week for my trip back up north. I will definitely stay there anytime I am in the area!

Maria the Inn's manager was delightful and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay but did spend most of our day away wine tasting. We would definitely choose to stay again.

We stayed in the Blue Ribbon Room. It was very cute, clean, with satisfactory amenities including refrigerator, microwave, and a romantic gas fireplace. Our only complaint was that the bed was too squeaky! The location was right on the shoreline of the bay.

We normally stay at the Inn across the street, but since they had a two night minimum, we stayed here instead, and it was a pleasant surprise! The rooms are much bigger than the ones across the street, and very modern, with lots of amenities that the other place doesn't have (Free WiFi, DVD's, Games). We were blown away by our suite with the great view of the bay (Cape Cod room)!

We recently stayed in the Avonlea Suite and it was a great stay. The rooms were quiant and inviting and the location was peaceful, calm, and relaxed. Breakfast in the morning is your choice at either two restaurants very close by (walking distance). We went with the Good Tides Coffee House both days because it was amazing and the chef there was very friendly. The food was outstanding. At 5:00p.m. there is a wine hour. For dinner try the Thai food take out restaurant up the road. It's is the best Thai I've ever had. It was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again. The Hearst castle is very close for a day trip.

Place was extremely cozy and comfortable. Clean. Warm. Spacious. View from Sante Fe room was amazing. Inn itself was great, but beware it is isolated and if you get in late, dining options are nonexistent. Thankfully the rooms have microwaves and TV dinners can be had from corner store (so long as you get there before they close at 10PM).

Everything about the Baywood Inn was great, we can't wait to return and sample another delightfully themed room. My wife especially loved the two-sided fireplace. A great place to enjoy the laid back atmosphere of Los Osos, and the beauty of the back bay.

We stayed in the Tex-Mex with my two girls. This time we ere in the area for a wedding. We all enjoyed our stay as we have each time we've been here over the last 10 years and will glaadly return.

We stayed in the La Provance room which had a nice bay view and a fireplace,with a French country appeal. Lots of nice extras with the room, like water and snacks, plus a choice of three places to eat for breakfast. We'll be back.

Stayed there in mid April, 2011. Nice room with a fireplace between the bedroom and living area. Great amount of space for the money. We used to live in Baywood. Few but locals know about this gem in a residential neighborhood that is very old California. Nothing has changed in 20 years. The people are all nice. The bakery across the street is awesome. La Palapa next door has awesome breakfast too.

Lovely views and great room in this B and B. Breakfast was in cafes across the street or adjacent to the B and B - a little unusual system, but the food was excellent. Quiet sleepy town location made for an excellent vacation spot to unwind!

I believe it was Maria, She was awesome. We felt so welcome the minute we showed up to check in. The rooms were very nice. They had complimentary waters and juices in the fridge. Complementary wine from 5 to 7 at the mexican restaurant next door. The free breakfast at the mexican restaurant next door was amazing. I had the vegetable omlet and fried potatoes. It was the best I ever had. The staff there was truly the best. Looking for our next trip to Baywood INN. We stayed in the Tex Mex room.

I only stayed for one night, but it was exactly the stay I needed to unwind and de-stress. The room was great and the location is outstanding.

We stayed at the Baywood Inn for 2 nights. The room was immaculate, charming and quiet. The view of the Bay was stunning! The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. We had breakfast both mornings from the Good Tides Cafe and were very pleased. They even made special Gluten Free sweets for us! We will certainly recommend the Baywood, and we will return!

I'd heard of Baywood from a friend for years....thought it was a run-down place on the embarcadero of Morro Bay. NOT! This is a beautiful property; calm location away from the tourist crowds of Morro Bay proper. After factoring in the breakfast vouchers with a choice of three restaurants within walking distance, a stay at Baywood becomes even more value packed.

My bed was not as comfortable as I thought it should have been. Also, the rooms are too bright at night. Wish there could be a way to turn off the lights!!! Other than that the rooms are lovely and the keepers are very friendly.

If you're looking for a relaxing get-a-way, the Baywood Inn is the perfect place! The rooms are very clean; the beds are comfortable; the staff is superior and the sunrises and sunsets are to die for! Baywood is a relaxed community that appears to value quality of life over quantity in life!

L-O-V-E-D the location of this B & B, right on the bay in the sleepy town of Los Osos. We had an option of 3 cafe's to choose from for breakfast (Good Tides being the best). Thank you for making our Anniversary a perfect one.

The Baywood Inn is our favorite place to stay on the central coast.We stayed in the Cape Cod room and it was wonderful.The view from our window was excellent.The staff was friendly and very helpful in answering any questions we had. We again had a very good breakfast at Good Tides,the girls there are very friendly and the food is delicious.We had dinner from Nois and it was very good. The Cape Cod room at the Baywood Inn is thoroughly charming. It takes a bit of work to get the gas fireplace to light, but the room is comfortable and roomy. I did use the public computer in the upstairs mezzanine which I must say needs to be updated, but it is a valuable amenity for me. A pleasant stay!

We stay at the Baywood Inn when our son (who lives in town) has an event. It is convenient, clean, and the front desk personnel are always cheerful and friendly. If the restaurant selection was a little more varied for dinner, it would be ideal!

We enjoyed our stay at the Baywood Inn. Our expectations were exceeded in the room, service, and value. The inclusion of refreshments was an unespected surprise and pleased us.

The young lady at the inn, named Maria, was excellent. She was warm, helpful and funny. The Mexican Restaurant next door was outstanding. I wish I lived close to it. Even the rice was amazing.

Our room was perfect - very neat and clean, great size and the perfect location to explore the central CA coast.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Baywood Inn in 4 months. It's very quiet and private. I priced places along the Morro Bay coastal area, and found that many of those were much more expensive, looked a bit outdated, and didn't offer nearly the value. Would not stay anywhere else now that we know about it.

My husband and i have stayed here twice in two years. It's location is great ; quiet, roomy and what a view. The bay is right across the small street. You can sit and watch the water come in and out with great coffee from the little shop across the street(150 feet away). Such a quaint little area i'm kind of sad to share, wouldn't want it to change. Great Mexican breakfast right next store- real beans and homemade tortillas. The inn is a little well loved but comfortable and affordable. Just walk and enjoy the fog and peace of this small little town.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Cape Cod suite. The room was awesome and had a beautiful view. The fireplace was amazing to come home to and to watch a movie in front of. The service was great, and they had a decent dvd collection. We had breakfast at La Palapa and it was delicious. We will definitely be back for another stay soon!

We really enjoyed our stay in the La Provence room...the photos didn't do it justice. Only complaint was the room didn't cool down until morning because of the west facing windows (we left the windows open all night). However, I'd stay there again. La Palapa restaurant was closed on Sunday...only the one table pizza place across the street was open, but we enjoyed it since we didn't feel like driving into Morro Bay. The complimentary breakfast at the Tides Coffee House was excellent and we enjoyed sitting outside in the perfect weather. All the rooms with the blinds open looked great...definitely a step above the chain hotels we saw in Morro Bay.

The room was clean and well furnished. The view of the bay is great and the in room fireplace as well as the complimentry in-room snacks and water were perfect. I will be staying there again!

A great place tostay if tasing at the coastal wine country. Rooms beautiful and well-appointed with nice views. Breakfast vouchers were to ok places but a nice breakfast on site would have been much better.

I would recommend the Baywood Inn to anyone. We had a great time! Our room was La Provence and it was charming and comfortable. I loved how the thermostat controlled the fireplace. Our friends were in Cape Cod and it, too, was charming and comfortable. Both rooms had great views. We were unable to use our dining tickets. One restaurant did not open as advertised at 8:00 or even at 8:30. It didn't open until 9:00 which was way too late for us. The other restaurant was outdoor seating only and it was way too cold and/or rainy to partake of that venue. We still had good breakfasts but had to pay for them so that needs to be addressed by Baywood. They should be aware if the restaurants they're contracting with change the "rules". Otherwise, everything was perfect.

I selected Baywood Inn because of its proximity to my family's house. I went there for a funeral, and mentioned that in passing to the manager, Maria. She made a point to give this information to the rest of the staff and they all worked to make my stay as "seamingless" as possible. The rest of my family checked into other hotels, and regreted it the moment I told them how well and personable Baywood Inn staff were treating me. Coming from Vegas, the rate that I got was reasonable, and the breakfast vouchers were very useful. Thank you Maria and Marjorie for your support...it was very much needed in a time that was difficult for me. I greatly appreciate your kindness. I hope to see you soon with my husband for a more pleasant occassion.

Rooms were perfect for our little venture to the centre of California and the service was great. A warm fireplace with a cup of cocoa really sealed an already cozy hotel experience which was topped off further with a great breakfast next door. Thank you Baywood and you'll be sure to see us again!

If your looking for a hidden gem for either a romantic getaway or just a quieter place to stay this is the place for you. The room are nicely appointed and I love that each room has it's own fireplace. The staff is attentive and friendly. The room had a wonderful view of the bay. Located between Los Osos and Morro Bay makes it easy to navigate between both areas for either business or leisure.

The lodging was ok, the view was fantastic and although the folks at the Mexican restaurant were late our first morning, the food was excellent. This place has authentic mexican food.

This was a lovely little place; pictures on the website didn't do the rooms justice, the rooms were much nicer in person. The room we stayed in was small but comfortable, with a fireplace and a great view of the bay. There was a coffeemaker, refrigerator, and microwave in our room, plus tea and some snacks and drinks as refreshments. The lady at the front desk was very helpful with our requests for wine glasses, recommendations, etc. Upstairs in the mezzanine Breakfast was not in the inn, but you could choose breakfast at the restaurant La Palapa next door or the little coffee house behind the Sculptured Egg (can't remember the name... sorry!) At La Palapa I had the chilaquiles, which I enjoyed very much. The coffee house had great coffee and pastries. For what we paid for our lodgings, I was very pleased.

The Inn was right across from the water, and we stayed in the Cape Cod Room, which had a little living room with a see thru fireplace. It was very roomy, the bathroom was a nice size and the bedroom was nice also. We stayed the day after Christmas for 2 days which gave us plenty of time to explore the town and walk Montana De Oro, along with the Pigmy Forest and the Sweet Springs Nature Preserve. Also you can see the "Rock" at Morro Bay which is only perhaps 15 minutes away if you want to go there and shop, or eat. If you want a quiet retreat that is clean, roomy and the price was good, this is the place for you. They have a mezzanine area on the second floor, but my husband and I never even went there, we were so excited to just go exploring. The people who live there seemed very nice also.

room was awesome, available dining were great. All employees at bed and breakfast were very friendly as were the employees at the dining establishments. Very nice area of California, if we are ever in that area again - we will definately go back to the Baywood Inn.

We booked the room on the recommendation of friends, & we were well pleased. The location is wonderful, the atmosphere very pleasant & relaxed. We had a perfect view of the bay without the hustle & bustle of a seaside resort.

I have been coming back to this Inn for a number of years. It is quiet, comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. The view of the Bay is breathtaking at sunset. The area allows you to relax and recharge your batteries by taking walks along the water, watching the many birds, and resting in a quiet cozy atmosphere. Sunday morning is a wonderful time to "people watch" outside the coffee shop across the road. An endless stream of walkers/joggers and their doggies parade by. I love it here. I go back to work rested, relaxed and feeling wonderful.

Baywood Inn provides a place for quite reflection, suspended in time against a beautiful foreground of tides that ground small boats in the bay with their daily ebb and flow. Walk to the excellent bakery for "on the house" coffee and scones to enjoy in your snug room or eat on a bench as you watch the tide refill the bay. Walk around. Baywood is a town that doesn't know strangers. Or bring your bicycles for short, happy rides to explore San Luis Obispo or Morro Rock (both under 12 miles round trip). But don't let going places take away your "time-out." By the time we left our weekend retreat, our spirits bobbed like the refloated sailboats in the bay. We all need downtime. Baywood Inn gave us a warm, affordable venue for it.

The service was friendly and we felt right at home. All the rooms are decorated differently to suit anyone's taste. The view of the bay was outstanding. The breakfast across the street was delicious. My only complaint was the room stunk in the Santa Fe room. Other than that, it was an outstanding place to relax. We will go there again....

Location was fun, great for walks. Enjoyed the wine and appetizer hour. Thai place nearby was great.

The breakfast options involve 2 nearby restaurants, a Mexican restaurant next door and a coffee bar across the street. The food at both places was good, not great. The person serving the food at the coffee bar was not friendly or particularly helpful, so on our second morning we ate a very nice meal at the Mexican place, where the server was very courteous. We'll definitely go back to the Baywood Inn when we want a quiet spot in a beautiful setting.

I could not believe it was right accross the street from the water. The Mexican resturant right next door had the best breakfast ever. We loved it all.

Our spacious room had a view of the back bay, pine trees, and surrounding hills; the complimnetary breakfast across the street at the cozy and tasty Tides Coffee Cafe was an unexpected treat.

We stayed in the Quimper this time and loved the room. The only problem was a maintenance issue which you should probably look into. The vent fan in the bathroom did not work which could probably lead to a mold problem in the future. Other than that, we loved the room. It was very comfortable and we loved the theme. We have stayed in your facility at least a dozen times now and have always enjoyed our stay. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you again for another great time in your bed and breakfast inn. Hadn't been to Baywood B&B for several years Great to see that the little town hasn't changed much and the rooms have been maintained well.

Excellent location. The Mexican restaurant next door was great. The food was great, the service was great and the decor was great. The tiny coffee place across the street was also great. Food and service were great. The staff at the Baywood Inn went out of their way to please us. My husband forgot something in the room after we had left town, and the staff mailed it to us. That's above and beyond great service and we appreciated it.

We really enjoy the room, clean and nice furnished. The bay views were relaxing and the breakfast at the coffee house in front was a nice surprise!

We went to Los Osos to celebrate a brithday. We couldn't have picked a better location with the Baywood Inn. Highly recommended!!

On the outside this is a modern building, on the inside it is dressed up as a Victorian inn. That was odd to us, but some people may like it. The rooms are clean but worn. The exterior lighting makes the rooms bright all night. It is quiet and they have a nice arrangement with a coffee house across the street for breakfast. Not the normal cozy B&B atmosphere but beachy.

This visit was probably #10 or #11 - you see we like it :) From the front desk to the delightfully decorated room(s) to the delicious breakfast insures a memorable stay and we look forward to our next one!!!

It's a nice and quiet place. The rooms are decorated with a lot of personal touch. Our room (Manhattan) was spacious and clean. We enjoyed our breakfast in a small cafe across the street. Also we liked free wine and the rooms tour .

What a charming B&B. The room was very clean and well appointed although the queen bed seemed like only a double and the TV was tiny. The mini fridge was stocked with soda, Arizona tea, and water. The bar had popcorn, granola bars, hot chocolate, tea and coffee. The wine tasting next door featured a winery from Lodi, CA and breakfast the next morning was at the Good Tides Bakery. The fresh ground coffee and croisants were yummo as well as the vegie scramble. All of the above was complimentary with our room. We could even see the bay out our front door while we sat in front of the fireplace. The short walk around the bay to the Sweet Springs Bird Sanctuary was a pleasant excursion. The little town of Baywood has seen better days. We were a little concerned about safety but after walking around we met so many of the friendly locals our fears were eased. If you go, pick up a copy of the Bay News from the lobby and read the Morro Bay Police and Sheriff's Logs. We laughed thru the whole page. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to get the Harley's out again and head north to the Baywood Inn.

The room was just great, the food at the restaurant across the streeth was delicious, and the morning after we had a very nice walk along the bay. It was so quite that the only thing we could hear was the sounds of the shore. I really hope I can come back!

My son and I stayed at the Baywood for 5 nights, and were quite comfortable. Our room had a bedroom separate from the living area which worked well for us. Used the vouchers from the hotel towards breakfast across the street each day...very good. The beach across the street was a little disappointing as far as not being able to really walk anywhere, but view was pretty. I'd recommend heading to Avila Beach or Pismo to enjoy the sand and surf. All in all, very enjoyable stay at the Baywood Inn.

I have stayed at this B & B three times. Each time was wonderful. This last time though, the stay was less than expected. Although it was in the middle of the week, it looks like they are not paying attention to details. Had to go next door for wine that never was served. Breakfast was across the street - not a real restaurant. Back grounds of facility need attention. It looks like it hasn't been paid attention to as in the past. The room was great, clean and cozy. The location is out of this world!! Still would recommend it. Better than in town (Morro Bay) more privacy and theme rooms are great
