Sierra Mountain Lodge is a perfect place if you are looking for an overnight stay outside the Yosemite Park. We stayed there for 3 nights and were completely satisfied.

B&B at the door to Yosemite

Extraordinarily well-kept and clean B & B with a fantastic morning breakfast and lovely garden in a quiet area. We enjoyed our stay very much and would come here for a visit to Yosemite National Park again.

Wonderful place to stay! Charming and spotlessly clean.

The only place to stay when we visit Yosemite

5 on August 05, 2016

This is the third year in a row we have stayed here and would not consider anywhere else. It is a family run establishment which makes it so welcoming. John & Brenda are also very knowledgeable about the area which helps. The rooms are well appointed and beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The breakfasts are quite substantial which you need if you're going hiking.

July 4 weekend stay

5 on July 13, 2016

My husband and parents stayed together in the Pine Suite lodge over the weekend of July 4. We really enjoyed our stay at Sierra Mountain Lodge, the Lodge hosts are excellent, extremely friendly, and very knowledgeable about Yosemite. They were super helpful helping us plan out our 2 days there, as well as giving us tips on parking and times of day which sites are best to see. Breakfast every morning was delicious and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and decorated adorably. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Yosemite, it is about 40 minutes drive outside the park, but it wasn't a problem and we enjoyed escaping the madness of July 4 weekend in the park. I would visit again- and I know my parents really enjoyed the location.

Loved our stay

Best B&B of our trip. We loved the large room we had, and the private porch and BBQ allowed us to relax in the evenings without having to drive out. The view is superb and the breakfasts were great. Highly recommend!

Beautifully peaceful!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to review! This place was beautiful, and so relaxing after having large days at yosemite. Which John & Brenda know all about, when it comes to Yosemite! I thought I had a plan worked out I totally changed it after speaking to John as he factored the weather and duration of our stay, and it was perfectly planned out. Couldn't have been any more enjoyable. Now,, my absolute favourite thing is the PANCAKES & WAFFLES! Best ever! Highly recommend, John & Brenda are so kind and welcoming :)

Perfect!

The Perfect Getaway!

5 on May 01, 2016

The Sierra Mountain Lodge was so nice, that we had come twice! Our first stay was so wonderful-- we simply could not wait to return here! It is the perfect getaway, as it it in a secluded, forested location that is near both the South Yosemite Entrance and the Arch Rock Entrance of Yosemite. After our day hike to Glacier Point, we were so excited to get to the Sierra Mountain Lodge. When we finally pulled in to the property, I saw the "Sierra Mountain Lodge" sign covered in Christmas lights. At last, we arrived at our "home" for the weekend. As soon as we parked, I couldn't contain my excitement any longer and ran to to front door of our suite! How wonderful it was to open the door to such a beautiful, warm, and welcoming suite! Our innkeepers, John and Brenda, are the kindest, most thoughtful, and best hosts that you could ever hope for! From the cleanliness of our suite to the provided amenities, they have thought of everything! They are extremely communicative and quick to respond to any inquiries. Before we started the next morning's day hike, we headed over to the lobby to have breakfast. I was so pleasantly surprised to see the extensive and beautifully laid out breakfast spread that they had for us! They prepared the fluffiest pancakes with fruit, sausages, hard-boiled eggs, freshly chopped fruit, yogurt and more! What a selection! Everything was so delicious--we had to have seconds! It was exactly what we needed before our hike! Thank you, John and Brenda, for another wonderful stay. The Sierra Mountain Lodge has become our favorite place to stay while visiting Yosemite. We cannot wait to return and stay with you again!
