Once the center of a 400-acre Shenandoah Valley farm, Stoneridge offers a glimpse of antebellum life just minutes from historic Lexington. The original house was built in 1829 with bricks made on the property. Stonerige is surrounded by 32 secluded acres of Virginia countryside - fields, streams and woodlands; and abundant wildflowers, butterflies, and wildlife - deer, turkeys, and songbirds. Sit on the spaciaous front porch and sip a cool drink as you enjoy the sunset over the mountains. Step through the original Adams style double doors and find restored rooms with high ceilings, intricate moldings, elaborate mantels and heart-of-pine floors. The Red Lantern Inn is a 100 year old building in downtown Clifton Forge that has been totally renovated into casual overnight accomodation. In addition to the 7 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths, guests will share several common areas - living room with cable TV, fully stocked kitchen with coffee available, laundry facilities, glassed in year round porch and a media room with big screen cable TV and WiFi. Guests like the openness and “homey” atmosphere. New pictures of the shared spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms have been added to the web site. Even though we don’t provide meals, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are always available and can either be brewed or made by the cup. The Inn can be reserved by individual rooms, suite of two rooms or the entire Inn. Special prices are offered for reservations of more than two rooms or for the entire building.
