Spring Grove Farm is a two-hundred acre Virginia plantation that has been fully restored to its 1842 condition, with compatible wings for additional facilities and baths. Sixteen restored fireplaces warm the public areas and your room in cool weather. Central heat and air conditioning were added during restoration for your year round comfort. Eleven rooms and suites are available, all with private baths. Play the grand piano in the parlor or carriage house, watch old or new movies in the media room via satellite TV, hike over our two hundred acres, or just relax on the many porches and decks that take in our lovely country vistas. Enjoy your choice of a continental or full breakfast served in the dining room, breakfast room, sun room, or on the terrace. You can choose to dine at small tables for two or mingle with other guests at larger tables. Our breakfast is served from silver serving pieces using our fine china and flatware. We organically grow many of our fruits and vegetables which are served in season.

Listed on South Boston's walking tour, this Queen Ann home is located in the historic district. Charles Bass, the original owner, built the house in 1904, when it was prestigious to live on the main street in town. Many of the homes in the neighborhood are from this era.

The stately 1909 Federal Crest Inn Bed & Breakfast, flanked by century old magnolia trees, stands majestically at the crest of the Federal Hill Historic District. Southern hospitality and elegance radiates as guests enter the beautiful foyer with grand central staircase, leaded glass window and interior columns. The personal touch by the hosts, Ann and Phil Ripley, makes every visitor feel special. After early morning juice and coffee, beautifully presented full, hot breakfasts are enjoyed in the mahogany-paneled dining room by the romantic fireplace. Most of the elegantly appointed guest rooms also feature gas-log fireplaces as well as private baths. One of the most unique features of the inn is the third floor theater with a full stage which was built for the original owner's children to write a give plays. This area is a perfect for group and business meetings as it is almost 1300 square feet and has a 60" TV/VCR.
