Ideal for those seeking to enjoy quiet and Nature in a cozy hideaway between the mountain and the sea.. Entire houses for hosting, a Loft 98m2 and a Studio 58m2., carefully builts from recycled materials and remodeled for comfort and privacy in a laid back atmosphere. A short crossing on Chalana boats arrive the island surrounded by green tropical forest . Few minutes walk from Barra beach, the longest of the city / 14.4 km of clear green ocean water that spreads along Sernambetiba Ave. where you can find the most famous meeting points for several sports like surf, kiteboard, bodyboard, windsurf, fishing and diving. There are also many bars and Kiosks , and an all lighted bike track ideal for an evening ride. One step away the bustling Av.das Americas which lead us to the best restaurants, malls, bars, night life. Also close to Riocentro exhibition & Convention center, Rock`n Rio, Sports City, HSBC Arena, City Hall and favorite places for Adventure and Nature Tours. Consult about car&driver and private tours We offer our personalized attention and the purpose to "feel at home" as a very special guest. Our house is on side the Studio, so assistance and safety is our prime concern. Visitor policy is quite flexible but subject to discussion and approval. Smoking is allowed in open area ( pergola,patio,garden) Communication is the best policy. If you have ahy questions about anything please ask us when booking! Thanks.

Stayed there in October. Trip to Rio was amazing and the highlight was staying in the Utropico Guesthouse. Would recommend it without hesitation. A peaceful and safe retreat to return to each day after touring around Rio. It may seem a bit far out but was well worth the effort. Silvia + Francisco were wonderful hosts who couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Would willingly fly to Rio again just to stay there.

Fun, sun , great atmosphere and a sense of true Rio. This is a great spot for relaxation, while close to the beaches etc of Rio. Silvia and her family made us very welcome in a very comfortable part of their home which is laid out in 3 sections. Each has it's own sitting and outside patio area as well as bedroom. The decor is tasteful. The property sits on the waters edge of an island with a beautiful tropical backdrop. Rainforests lie in the background while the hum of passing boats is interrupted by the songs of many varied and interesting birds and others (including a monkey). One is truly made to feel at home here. No trouble is spared in being very helpful with ideas and information about transport and tourist attractions. Breakfast is leisurely and varied with great fruits and Brazilian coffee. Although Utropico is a little away from downtown Rio, part of its charm is getting there by boat and a feeling of warmth and safety while staying there. We had a great time and look forward to our next visit.

El lugar esta muy bonito,incluso mas de lo que te muestra las fotos, la atencion perfecta, el desayuno delicioso. Ubicado en un lugar donde puedes disfrutar de la tranquilidad de la naturaleza pero muy cerca y accesible a las playas y al centro. Altamente recomendable

Excelente define la atencion y el lugar en general, un lugar muy distinto a todo lo artificial que se ofrece en otros lados, a diferencia de ellos, Utropico ofrece un servicio de hospedaje que hace que uno se sienta como en casa, rodeado de naturaleza y tranquilidad. A su vez, cerca de todo, esta en un punto muy bueno de barra da tijuca, dado que se puede acceder facilmente a la playa y al centro. La gente es muy calida y el servicio excelente, limpieza 10 puntos, desayuno RIQUISIMO!! Y el lugar en si es de ensueños, tal cual las fotos.

When you take the bus to go to Barra da Tijuca ask the driver to stop at the Bus station Alvorada, from there a taxi leads you in Shopping Barra Point on the beginning of Barra. We advice you to print the google map available at Utrópico Guesthouse Web page so you can follow the streets. Also we advice you to pay for you taxi at the companies inside the airport. They charge you by the neighborhood distance. So for Barra da Tijuca, the amount is written on the wall. Ask them to show you where is parked the company cab driver outside the airport As we recommend all our guests, the securely and smoothly way is on demand our car & driver service.

You can ask the staff at the Tourist information desk at the Airport to show you where are the cab companies inside the airport. They speak English, and have a list of prices available too for each area of the town. The information desk is manned 24 hours a day. We advice you to pay for your taxi at the cab company store inside the airport.Them they will give you a receipt, which you will give to the cab driver. PS:For Barra da Tijuca, the amount is written on the wall. Ask them to show you where your company cab driver is parked.
