When you visit Lovetts you'll find yourself surrounded by the natural beauty of New Hampshire's White Mountains. We are situated at the base of Franconia Notch State Park offering access to many area attractions such as The Old Man of the Mountain, the Basin, the Flume Gorge, and the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway. Enjoy hiking, biking, downhill and cross country skiing, and access to six golf courses within twenty minutes of the Inn. At days end enjoy fine dining at its best in our candlelit dining room.Lovetts Inn was built in 1784 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Inn is a rambling collection of rooms and cottages with fireplaces, each decor a little unique. The warm feelings of the Inn will entice guests to unwind and relax. Put on your walking shoes(or cross country skis) and experience nature right out the back door.

George Reynolds built this house in 1892 and it remained in his family until 1995 when it was first transformed into a local Bed and Breakfast. Don and Terry O'Donnell purchased the house in October of 2002 and are dedicated to keeping the house close to its original construction. While enjoying your stay you will notice that most of the house has the original moldings, windows and pocket doors all specifically constructed or crafted for the house. The central location of the Reynolds house makes it ideal for guests to branch out in any direction to see and experience the sites and history of Vermont while staying in a beautifully built and maintained family home.

Perhaps the most elegant and peaceful Vermont Inn we have seen! This historic mansion,located just south of Montpelier, has been beautifully restored to its original Victorian elegance. Once occupied by a princess, it is tastefully decorated with period furnishings, orientals, antiques, brass and carved wood beds with luxurious Eurpoean down bedding and private baths. We were served a unforgetable, multi-course gourmet breakfast, including fresh fruit, homemade hot granola, and then a main course. All this at a table aglow with interesting conversation, International guests, and a breathtaking view of the Green Mountains. Shaker Hill B&B is a lovingly updated 1790's colonial home set on 24 acres in the Upper Valley of New England. The original wide board floors set off the charm of each of the four bedrooms. The two stately historic buildings which are the home of The Inn at Montpelier were built in the early 1800's. Both buildings are classically Federal in design and as is typical of New England architecture, have been added to on several different occasions. The extravagant wraparound Colonial Revival porch added to the yellow building is a prominent landmark in a row of gracious townhouses built by the founders of Montpelier. In creating The Inn at Montpelier, great care has been given to retaining architectural details - the Greek and Colonial Revival woodwork, the ten fireplaces, the gracious front staircases, the glass fronted china cupboards, to name a few, have all been preserved. The Inn is a part of Montpelier's National Historic District and takes us back to an era of gracious living.

Whether you’re relaxing by a fire in the den, browsing through our antique books, fireside, in the library, or just enjoying the romantic glow of a warm fire in the privacy of your own room, while snuggled in an antique bed, you will feel the ambiance of 1850's New England. Hibbard House accommodations include 2 spacious chambers with fireplaces. The Hibbard Room includes a queen size bed, and private bathroom with shower. The Pierce Room (named after fellow visitor Franklin Pierce, who while President, stayed overnight in this room, as a guest of his good friend, and fellow lawyer, Harry Hibbard) offers a doorway to an adjacent bedroom with 3 single beds and a pull away, perfect for the kids. Additionally, there are several other bedrooms, all of which have been furnished with period antiques.
