The Swift House Inn is located in the charming New England town of Middlebury, Vermont. The buildings that comprise the Swift House Inn today are the product of over a century of adaptation to the needs of the Swift and Stewart families that lived here from 1815 until 1981. The Main House, built in 1814 by Samuel Swift, was the home of former Governor John W. Stewart and his daughter Jessica Stewart Swift. George Reynolds built this house in 1892 and it remained in his family until 1995 when it was first transformed into a local Bed and Breakfast. Don and Terry O'Donnell purchased the house in October of 2002 and are dedicated to keeping the house close to its original construction.
