Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge is an intimate and friendly lodge offering trips specializing in the exploration of Belize's natural beauty and fascinating Mayan culture. We are located in the foothills of the Maya Mountains just off the scenic Hummingbird Highway along the Sibun River within the Sibun Forest Reserve. A pastoral setting surrounded by nature with many streams and creeks makes this a nature lover's paradise.

Our stay in June was incredible. The picture shown is the room as you walk right in down to the fresh flowers on the bed with folded towels as different animals. Rose and her crew start off by knowing and calling you by name. They want to make sure you are taken care of. Indira is the chef and she prepares fabulous 5 star meals with the freshest ingredients. The tour adventures were well worth the money with small groups and personal service. We had an adventure of a lifetime in Belize and hope to return soon.

There are four Garden View rooms located on the ground floor of the main lodge building these rooms can be set up with an option of a king bed, two single beds or two bunk beds, sleeping up to four guests.

The three Spanish style Casitas are stand alone rooms offering additional interior and exterior space along with additional privacy. They are set up with a king bed and a bunk bed. An additional bunk bed is available upon request and the Casitas sleep a maximum of six. Choice of creek side or hill view rooms.

The Two Bedroom River House is located about 100 yards from the main lodge building over looking the Sibun River. Each room has a queen bed and a bunk bed for a maximum of 4 guests each. Each bedroom has a Jacuzzi tub. The rooms share a kitchen, living room and deck. The River House is often rented as a whole by groups or families of four or more.

Getting to Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge We can be reached in 3 accessible ways: Your Own Automobile 1. Using the Hummingbird highway from Belmopan, drive approximately 17 miles south. 2. Look for our sign on the left hand side "Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge, if you cross over the Sibun River then you have gone too far. Daily Bus Services 1. Traveling from Belize City, you can take any of the buses heading in the direction of Dangriga or Punta Gorda. 2. Ask to be dropped off at "Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge", you will be dropped off at the lodge's driveway entrance. 3. Walk in ½ a mile or around 15 minutes along our driveway to the Lodge. Private Transfers 1. Prices are a one way trip between the stated places and Sleeping Giant provided by private vehicle and driver. 2. All charges will incur an additional 12.5% for GST.
