5 out of 5We had a great lil' stay!
May 08, 2013
This was such a cute little stay for us. Cecile is MORE than sweet and genuine. She goes above and beyond to help if you ask for anything. She helped us with planning little day trips out and prepared the most delicious of breakfasts. Fresh farm eggs...yum!! It is a rustic stay, for sure. A little cold in the later afternoon (of course, we went in April) and the house takes a minute to warm up...but nothing a few layers wouldn't fix. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was perfectly warm. Thank you to Cecile and her family! We'll certainly be back!

We just stayed the past 2 nights. The family is amazing and so is breakfast!! Everything is fresh! The eggs and juice are fresh from their farm, and the bread is fresh from the bakery. A must is to order the toast with ham and cheese it's AMAZING!!! The room we stayed in was eclectic and had a japanese influence which was nice. We would stay here again! The family even helped us in finding our way around and where to get some yummy belgium beer. Thanks to the owners who open their home up and give travelers a place to stay.
4.0 out of 5a good stay
September 29, 2012
The property is 5 km from Bruges and 1 km from a small rural village with services, is a magnificent country house with garden, herbs and some farm animal. Microcosm really relaxing. We found a wonderful reception that was manifested by an immediate product offering freshly picked from the garden accompanied by fine cheeses and tea and pastries. The aspect that we want to point out was the help received for an unforeseen event that would not produce a few downsides to our holiday. A fraternal support hardly available in a traditional and formal accommodation which will be infinitely grateful to our very nice host silvano, rita, edoardo e giulia rome

Lestacion is a true gem. We spent four nights at this B&B and enjoyed every minute. Tucked between farms outside of Bruges, Lestacion provided both a base for exploring western Belgium and a warm, welcoming, and restful respite for a true vacation. With Bruges, Ghent, and the beach within an easy drive, we explored all day and relaxed in the evenings. The gracious hosts made us feel a part of the family. We could not have asked for more. Of all the places we stayed, this was our favorite and we will return!

4.8 out of 5A Unique and Delightful Experience
September 02, 2012
If you like pristine, anonymous chain hotels, Lestacion is not for you. If, however, you enjoy a home with character, peaceful surroundings with a lovely view, a comfortable bed, and excellent food, you will love staying here! Lestacion is in a county lane, but within easy reach of the beautiful city of Bruges: we cycled in beside the canal on the bikes we hired from Cecile and Emmanuel (5 Euros) - a lovely and easy ride. We were blessed with good weather, and enjoyed a full, hearty breakfast in the garden on both mornings (in the company of the family cat!). What we most remember about our stay, though, is meeting Cecile and Emmanuel, who are delightful people who genuinely enjoy making their guests feel completely at home. It is worth mentioning, too, that 'Brasserie Zonnebloem' in the nearby village, does good evening meals at reasonable prices (and is very child and English friendly). If you are visiting Bruges, Lestacion is a great place to stay. We would certainly like to return!
4.2 out of 5A very nice experience. More than you´ll expect!
August 22, 2012
In spite of rainful weather, Léstacion made our stay in Brugge unforgetable. Our twingirls, aged 4, collected eggs with panited faces. We all made dinner" the South African way" over a bonfire in the garden with some guidance of course and we loved the architecture of the house and moreso Cecile and her family!
4.4 out of 5Unique, charming home with great outdoor space, especially for kids
August 06, 2012
My son and I stayed at Lestacion for 2 nights in June 2012. Cecile and Manuel are a kind and friendly couple that seem to genuinely enjoy having guests stay at their home. Their 2 young adult sons also live with them. Cecile serves the most amazing breakfast, including fresh milk from the farmer next door. She provides so many choices too. Yummy! There are 2 rooms to choose from, one in the attic area. The 2 rooms also share a bath. You need to be okay with climbing stairs. The highlight of this location is the surrounding grounds. There is enough room to explore, especially for kids. They have a few small farm animals, and a trampoline, which was my son's favorite. Manuel and one of his sons even helped my son search for frogs in the tall grass. The house is located less than a 10 minute drive from the center of Brugge. In fact, you can park your car in the garage for the train station, which is very close to the center, then take the free bus to any of the stops in the center of town. The bus will also provide you with a free ride back. The only negative I have is that there isn't really a room that you can hang out in at their home. All the rooms, aside from the bedroom that you are staying in, are for the family's use only. This can be a bit frustrating, especially is there is bad weather, and you don't want to hang out in your room (neither room has TV service).
5 out of 5Absolutely great!

We had a wonderful stay at Lestacion! The house is beautifully furnished, has a huge garden, uniquely decorated rooms, very friendly and accomodating family. Staying outside of Bruges is absolutely no problem, the city center is just about 10 Minutes by car.
