    We invite you to visit Victoria's first Bed & Breakfast Inn- the Prior House. Located on a large estate in the center of Victoria, this was once a private residence for the English Crown's representative in British Columbia. This registered, historically significant, Inn has all the welcoming comforts of home as well as the amenities of the finest European Inns. All rooms have fireplaces, luxury spa tubs and views of the ocean, estate trees or the award winning gardens. Chef Jeff will prepare sumptuous breakfasts and afternoon teas (surcharge).     This place definitely deserves it's diamond rating. The property and rooms were fabulous along with their hosts Candis and Ted. The rooms were extra large and views to the ocean were spectacular. All the amenities were included as one should expect in this fine establishment. The tea and cakes in the afternoon were delicious and the morning breakfast was even more scrumptious. Information packages that were provided helped us a great deal to sort out what to do. We would certainly recommend the Prior House to anyone visiting Victoria

    My wife and I were in Victoria to do a little business and got a little unexpected pleasure. The Prior house turned out to be the perfect getaway for us with it's unique elegant charm and superior service. The room was well appointed, clean and quiet. The owner Ted was more than accomodating and made us feel at home while Jeff, the chef, made spectacular breakfasts with superior presentation. Our four night stay was a pleasure and we would highly reccomend it to anyone looking for more than just a "Bed and Breakfast"

    My husband and I are so glad we chose The Prior House Inn as our little getaway "pad". This was our first B&B stay. We didn't know what to expect, actually, we were quite worried BUT, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived...it was lovely. Candis made us feel right at home. Oh, and Chef Jeff is the best!     Ted was the perfect host and the rest of the staff were great. The Prior House Inn was the perfect setting for celebrating my 50th birthday with my wife and parents. It seems as if Ted was on call for us 24/7 whether to make our breakfast experience even more enjoyable, to give us up-to-the-minute restaurant suggestions and directions and to share his vast knowledge of all things Victoria and surrounding area. Our favorite phrase during our enjoyable week-long stay was "Ask Ted!" Ted always responded with a smile and great attitude. We never missed breakfast because not only was the food fantastic but the camaraderie of guests in the dining room was an experience in itself. The hobbit rooms were cozy and the beds were amazingly comfortable. The gardens were lush and beautiful. Afternoon tea on the outside patio was a bonus. This trip will be remembered as one of my most memorable vacations EVER.

    My wife and I love to travel. Our first choice for accommodation is always a unique Bed & Breakfast. The Prior House is more than just good accommodations. The place is absolutely sensational! Take a good look at their web site and you will see for yourself. However, the pictures and descriptions don't completely capture the beauty and tranquility of this historic gem. Ted and Candace are wonderful hosts who make sure your completely taken care of during your stay. Let us assure you that Gourmet is an apt term to describe the breakfast. Geoff knows his way around a professional kitchen and there is more than enough to eat! A fine balance of exquisite presentation, flavour and nutrition stokes you up for a busy day touring Victoria. Speaking of touring, the Prior house is just a short walk away from the inner harbour. The Prior House won’t be the most inexpensive accommodations you will ever stay at but, it is so true that you get what you pay for and the Prior House is superb value for your money! ON a personal note, I need to say that I use a Guide Dog to assist with my mobility needs as a blind man. I have had some access issues with other lodgings but not with the Prior House! Pierce was welcomed with open arms with no problems what so ever! IN fact, he truly was the King of the Castle! Pierce the Guide Dog gives the Prior House Bed & Breakfast 4 paws up! Thank you Ted, Candace, Geoff and Mary! We so look forward to our next stay at your fine establishment!
