    An exceptional B&B

    December 04, 2010

We stayed at Casa Farolito last month and recommend it. The inn is quiet and beautifully furnished. It has an unobstructed ocean view and private access to the beach immediately below, which was great for us because, at low tide, we were able to take long walks on the beach. We stayed for a week and all of our breakfasts were delicious. This was our first visit to Rosarito and our experience was hugely enriched because innkeepers Peter and Lorraine informed us of points of interest and local restaurants we certainly would have otherwise missed. We definitely want to return to Casa Farolito.

    Amazing Long Weekend Destination!

    November 18, 2010

My husband and I needed a getaway from our busy lives in LA and found Casa Farolito's website. After a short drive we were on vacation for a three night stay at this lovely B & B. The welcome margaritas were a perfect touch and our room was beautiful. We were so glad that we took the largest room facing the ocean. The bathroom was as unbelievable as the views from our private balcony. Innkeepers Lorraine and Peter were very knowledgeable about restaurants and activities in town. We felt very safe in both the gated community of the B & B and the town of Rosarito. Every local we met was friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend Casa Farolito to others and plan to return in the future - hopefully for a full week next time!.

    The perfect romantic getaway

    November 14, 2010

For our mini-honeymoon we were looking for a charming b&b on the ocean away from the tourist hordes of Rosarito, and Casa Farolito was more than we could have hoped for. The house is beautifully decorated by the artist/interior designer owners, Peter and Lorraine, with a mix of traditional Mexican and modern art. The ocean-front suite had its own private bath and living room, with full windows looking out at the ocean and our own private hot-tub. The cook, Maria, provided phenomenal full breakfasts--we spent each morning leisurely enjoying gorgeous fresh fruit platters and huevos rancheros on the patio looking at the ocean. Peter and Lorraine were more than helpful when it came to recommendations for restaurants and outdoor activities (and went out of their way to gather information on the specific activities that I had asked about in emails prior to our arrival), and welcomed us with champagne, strawberries, and flower petals strewn across our bed. Casa Farolito has three guest rooms, two of which are interior, and the ocean-front suite. While the ocean-front suite is more expensive than the other options, it is absolutely worth it to wake up every morning to a breathtaking view and the sound of the ocean waves.

    What an amazing weekend!

    October 08, 2010

My husband and I wanted to get away for a weekend and chose Casa Farolito in Rosarito, Mexico. We were amazed by the pictures on the website but they didn't compare to the actual house and views once you arrive. Lorraine and Peter were perfect hosts, making our weekend very enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, served on the patio overloooking the ocean. Dolphins even swam by as we were eating! The town of Rosarito had great restaurants and shops, which we navigated with Lorraine and Peter's advice. We look forward to another stay at Casa Farolito as soon as we can.

WOW! What a view! The best B&B experience

    July 24, 2010

We have just returned from Casa Farolito and are already looking forward to returning. The innkeepers Lorraine and Peter were so friendly, so helpful, so professional. Casa Farolito is full of Mexican charm - Mexican tiles everywhere, a terrific local art collection and the views are incredible. Watching the dolphins swim by while having a fabulous breakfast (cooked by Maria) on the patio was one of the highlights. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. There are wetsuits in every size and boogie boards to enjoy the water. We highly recommend this little treasure just south of San Diego.

    Casa Ferolito-A Mexican Riviera B & B Experience

    July 18, 2010

As former Innkeepers we have a critical eye when staying at any B & B. Casa Ferolito delivered on all levels, the warmth of the innkeepers, the attention to detail and the beauty of the setting enhanced by a truly wonderful interpretation of decor. Peter and Lorraine are connoisseurs of Mexican art and artifacts. Just when you think there cannot be one more piece to view, your eyes drift to yet another one. Lorraine uses her artistry and imagination to create the perfect getaway venue. As promised the dolphins and the peace and solitude of the ocean off the beautifully appointed deck were reason alone to come to Casa Ferolito. The breakfasts were the perfect combination of Mexican simplicity with delicious alternative menus for any taste...all this served by their marvelous cook Maria. When we shared that we may want to relocate to Rosarito, Peter and Lorraine could not have been more patient and kind, sharing their own experiences and recommendations. We did not stay in their luxury suite that opens out onto a private deck with hot tub and views to die for, but will return to experience that as well. We are looking forward to returning in October.

    Stay here, it is amazing!

    February 05, 2010

We stayed at Casa Farolito for two nights in February, and it was really great! Peter and Lorraine did a really great job at making us feel comfortable and at home in their home. Casa Farolito is a little north of the city of Rosarito, so it is perfectly quiet and secluded without the gritty, spring break feel. You know that feeling you got as a kid when you went to stay at grandma and grandpa's house for the weekend and they spoiled you rotten? That's the feeling I got here. The house is beautiful and right on the ocean. It was really all the little things that made the stay over the top amazing. Such as: Delicious welcome margaritas Wine and chocolate in the bathroom A supply of bottled water for us Beach towels, flip flops, and "just in case you forgot your ___" toiletries in the guest bathroom. An book with information to make our stay more enjoyable, such as, "where are the best places to eat in Rosarito, brush your teeth with tap water, what to do if the power goes out, etc" Breakfast was amazing! They provide a menu of options for breakfast that you fill out and leave on the kitchen counter the night before. A Mexican lady comes in to help prepare breakfast every morning, and makes insanely delicious huevos rancheros. The fruit plate and breads are also delicious! The beach that the house sits on is pretty rocky, but there's also no public access because it's bordered on either side by rock cliffs. It's just shared with a few other houses next to it. They provide beach chairs, beach towels, beach toys, etc. Overall, I wanted to stay MUCH longer than two nights, I had the best bed and breakfast experience ever!
