Perched atop a 400 foot cliff, the Sahhali Bed & Breakfast on Pender Island may boast the most spectacular view on the planet. From the two luxury suites and cottage, the fabulous panorama showcases a number of the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, as well as the San Juan Islands of Washington State. Below, contrasted against dark green forests and sparkling blue ocean, gleaming white BC Ferries silently travel the calm straits between the islands.

The scene is peaceful, serene. Tension and stress disappear. The hustle and bustle of busy lives is forgotten as your attention turns to the sights and sounds surrounding you.

Listen for the crack of a twig as a black-tail deer wanders by, watch impressive form of a bald eagle as it soars below you from your clifftop observatory, and spot in the distance the unmistakable sight of a pod of Orcas or Killer Whales headed right toward your telescope.

The suites and cottage are beautifully appointed, carefully designed with your comfort and privacy in mind. Directions to property:
Driving from Otter Bay ferry terminal to Sahhali B&B (9 miles):

Follow the traffic flow up the hill, staying left at the T intersection. When you reach another T intersection with a stop sign, turn right. You will pass the Royal Canadian Mounted Police office and in a few minutes be heading down a long steep hill. You will see the Driftwood Shopping Plaza and gas station on your right. Stop here for groceries or the liquor store. Carrying on, you will see the sign for Prior Provincial Park on your right (just past the Inn on Pender). Here the road heads downhill and curves to the right. Do NOT turn left or you will pass the school and clinic and be incorrectly heading for S. Pender.

Stay on this road, bending left at Fire Hall No. 2 You soon will see Magic Lake on your left. Just past the lake, you will take the next left onto Pirates Road. The road is marked by a large street sign.

Travel down Pirates Road until you see on the right side a large 5x8 carved wooden sign indicating OAK BLUFFS. After dark the sign is illuminated by reflectors.

Proceed up the hill. Other residents share this road, so watch for the "WELCOME TO SAHHALI" sign. Follow the curve in the driveway to the right.

Cancellations:
If you cancel your booking for a long weekend and/or holiday, please be advised you will forfeit 100% of your deposit. If you book for 2 days, and cancel more than 30 days prior to your reservation, 50% of your deposit will be refunded, less a $50 administration fee. If you book for 3 days or more, and cancel more than 45 days before your booking, 50% of your deposit will be refunded, less a $50.00 administration fee. If you are a group booking multiple rooms, a 100% deposit is required and is non-refundable. We accept US and Canadian currency.
