I stayed 7 nights in Lavender B&B and felt very much at home, to the point of missing the place when I left. Johanna and Derek are very nice and helpful, and gave me all the information and help that I needed. Breakfast was excellent and I enjoyed the company of the dog and the cat. The house is in a nice, quiet area and is in a convenient location. You can travel anywhere by public transport.

My husband Chris and I wanted one night to stop and relax on our way back from a visit with family in Vancouver. He found Lavender House on the internet and we are very happy to have stayed there. Johanna was an excellent hostess and hers and Derek's home was warm and inviting. Our room had a very comfortable king size bed and our breakfast was delicious! We had a living room area that was inviting to sit in and read. We felt much at home and very welcomed. Johanna suggested a restaurant called "Aldos", an Italian family run restaurant and the food was fabulous! The atmosphere was relaxed and our server Francesco made us feel at home. So with such a great stay, we're going back! Our room was $94 in the middle of summer. A great deal! Brenda and Chris

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found this lovely B&B. Many in the Vancouver area would only take reservations of more than one night, and we only wanted an overnight on our way to Vancouver Island. Johanna was the perfect hostess, taking care of all needs. We appreciated having access to a kitchen. Our breakfast was delicious and substantial. We highly recommend this B&B.

Thanks to Johanna and Derek, we were able to make the most of our time in Vancouver. New Westminster is a great place to base yourselves, a quieter area with easy access to downtown Vancouver and all the sites. Our hosts local knowledge and recommendations were so useful. The room had everything we wanted and the kitchen/sitting area was a real bonus. Sustaining breakfasts, and little touches that made all the difference.
