Spent a night in the Waterlily cottage - it was absolutely perfect, breakfast the next morning was amazing - we had a great time.

The space was extremely comfy, and you can easily spend all day in bed here. Service and food were excellent and the hosts were very considerate. I will definitely be coming back again!

Everything about River Run cottages was exemplary. I have stayed at many B&Bs throughout the world and this is at the top of my list. The staff was outstanding and added to the idyllic setting. Accommodations were exactly as advertised and attention to detail phenomenal. Thanks for two days of heaven. We WILL be back.

I booked this at the last moment and I was overjoyed at the experience. The innkeeper, Will, greeted us by name. The room was so quaint with a beautiful jetted tub and great deck. We had the most amazing breakfast with fresh cherry scones and eggs benedict (which I don't normally like)! Even the strawberry yogurt was decadent! We also had two very sweet visitors come to our deck to greet us for breakfast; they were very well-behaved dogs. Check out was very easy, as well.

We had such a lovely time. Will, Barb, Elmo, and their extended family are lovely people, very friendly. Our breakfasts were outstanding, and this is a very relaxing place to stay. Ladner is a beautiful little town, we were very impressed with it.

How exciting to find this gem practically in our own back yard! We were impressed the first time we spent one night here, in the North West Room, and were even more impressed with our 2 night stay recently. Will & Barb are great hosts, who visit if you want to, but leave you alone if you want solitude. The breakfasts are "beyond" good! This is the ultimate relaxation destination.

We had a wonderful experience at the River Run. The accomodations were very quaint and cozy. The service was excellent and the food, outstanding. As a romantic getaway it's second to non. We will definitely tell our friends about our experience and will hopefully be able to return next year.

River Run is a very unique B & B, located on the Fraser River in a lovely fishing and farming community, but with easy access to downtown. Watching the river traffic provided a lot of quiet enjoyment, as well as visiting the nearby Reifel Bird Sanctuary. Town is within an easy walk, and the Skytrain to downtown Vancouver within an easy drive. The River Run, in addition to a superb location, offers cosy and clean cottage-style rooms, lots of amenities, and absolutely outstanding breakfast service. We really enjoyed our stay with Will, Barb, and Elmo, their handsome and well-mannered retriever. This place really understands what B & B guests are looking for, and delivers it with style and warmth.

Everyone involved at River Run were extremely helpful and warm. The property is wonderful, and full of character. The kayaks and bikes are a wonderful addition. The Breakfast was fabulous.

We have been guests at the River Run many times and have always had wonderful service. Everyone is so friendly, the breakfast always delicious and the atmosphere romantic. We would definitely recommend this B&B!

Every attention to detail only enhanced our romantic experience, which was far superior to most bed and breakfasts that we have stayed at in BC. We can't wait to go back and will tell all of our friends about this enchanting and peaceful getaway. We loved feeding the swans and ducks, and breakfast on the deck of our cottage was incredible, as was sitting there in the evening watching the sun set on the river. You HAVE to check this place out, and often!

For those searching for a respite in beautiful B.C., my wife and I speak from experience (our third year) in recommending River Run in Ladner. The quiet and simple elegance characterizes this bed and breakfast to a tea. And the breakfast is gourmet, brought to you private residence. Ducks, geese, bald eagles, and swans abound in this setting, with a more domestic character, Elmo (golden labrador retriever) to come a visit if you so desire! Reduced prices during Sept.-December are forthcoming for HALF THE PRICE!

We had a nice stay in the Hanford House during our honeymoon. Will and Barb were great hosts. We especially enjoyed taking the bikes out one afternoon, and sitting by the pond in the backyard of the house.

We chose to stay for an evening before going to Victoria it was just lovely hence one night was not enough. Will gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner at a local fish restaurant. The breakfast was excellent delivered to our table outside and we had the pleasure of the company of Elmo. A great place to stay we will be back.

Self catering so the dining clasification is irrelevant - really enjoyed at stay at the river run cottages, a nice size for the two of us and in a quiet location. Really clean and a good welcomme pack provided for our arrival. Nothing too much trouble for Will & Barb- a great holiday and we would be happy to return !

This was the perfect place to unwind after the long flight from North Carolina. Great amenities, like sherry and snacks, waiting for us.

Our second stay in the Netloft might have been even better than our first. When you step over the edge of the levy onto the decking that connects all the buildings at River Run, you step out of suburban Vancouver into a completely different environment on the river, and it's SO RELAXING. A free sea kayak and an outdoor tub are icing on the cake, but the Netloft also has a wonderful upstairs bedroom with a great view from IN the bed. And breakfast is fantastic. This is a really unique and very, very pleasant place to stay. We'll probably be back for a third time (at least).

Great time. Didn't quite know what to expect. Paired the stay at RR with a visit to the Belle Auberge restaurant which was spectacular (so we really didn't give the RR food a chance).

This unique little B&B was a great stop-over on our way through Vancouver( just 15 easy mins. south of the airport). Our suite was well-appointed and spotless! I will say that although our bed linens were luxurious, the mattress itself was way too mushy. Also, we didn't feel that our hosts were accessible during our short time there- maybe just an off day or something. Overall, the property and amenities were outstanding- and breakfast was a real treat!

Warmly greeted by our hosts and the resident Dog, Elmo. Daily checks as to our needs and suggestions on what to do and how to get there with the least amount of confusion. We can not say enough about the food and the presentation for it not only looked like it was ready for a photo shoot, but the taste was excellent. We enjoyed French Press Coffee every morning and Sherry every night. What a wonderful treat. We will return and hopefully very soon.

Girlfriend and I went on vacation; we were not specifically looking for a "romantic" getaway but stumbled upon this little place and fell in love with it. Breakfasts were OUTSTANDING. Innkeepers were so pleasant and accomodating... Ladner is a nice little town, not exactly a vacation spot but quite pleasant. The rooms themselves were awesome, not very big but cozy and quite well-done. A note on the value, I thought it was expensive but we're from the US so everything in Canada seems expensive... and basically, for our vacation, it was worth every penny and more! Overall, very pleased, happy to stay there and looking forward to a return visit someday, very much.

My husband and I stayed in the waterlilly on our wedding night. It was the perfect little place, unique and cosy, in a beautiful location. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious! They even accomadated my gluten free diet. I hope we can stay again sometime!

Our stay at the River Run was a fantastic getaway from the city. Service was outstanding and very discreet. Thank you to Will and Barb for welcoming us to their oasis by the Fraser River.

Lovely hosts and unique lodging. It was extremely relaxing. If you are staying in the Net Loft and want to use the tub, bring a swim suit as it lacks privacy. I would recommend to the owners to put a screen on either side of the soaker tub.

A few years ago my wife and I decided we wanted to share our wonderful River Run Cottages experience with our closest friends. We were trying to think of an opportunity that would attract them. Then it came to us, what about our 60th birthdays. We have stayed at River Run four times. The setting on the Fraser River, the uniqueness of each room, the friendly and helpful nature of our hosts (Will & Barb) and the best breakfast of all of the B&Bs we have stayed in keep us coming back. We love the fresh baking, granola and fruit, coffee and the wonderfully creative entrees. When you arrive there is fresh baking and sherry waiting for you. There is a communal barbecue on the deck. Each room has it's own mini-fridge, microwave, sink, dishes and glasses for 4, CD player (with CD's) and a wood burning stove. Depending on the weather you can have breakfast in your room or on your own private deck overlooking the river. Often the local waterfowl come by which includes mallards, swans and even an otter. Our friends produced a wonderful barbecue dinner our first night. The second night Will and Barb catered a delicious dinner for the nine of us. Downtown Ladner is only five minutes drive away. You can pick up all the fresh produce, baked goods and meat that you want. There is also a major liquor store. Every time we return to River Run, you park, walk through their gate into the Cottages and are immediately transported into a world of relaxation and peace. We will be returning.

An absolute delight of a place. Wonderful view of the river, fabulous breakfast, handy for the nearby bird reserve (and for getting to the ferry to Vancouver Island). We spend time at River Run every year and we live less than five minutes from it. Each of the rooms are unique in their features and character. Barb and Will are calm,knowledgeable hosts, sense our need for either retreat or engagement. The food is special/generous. As hosts they extend themselves to support community needs/fundraisers. The larger in town suite has been used by our family and the ease of arranging coordination between the suite and use of the kayaks was flawless.

From first calling River Run to saying goodbye, everything about the experience was relaxing, refreshing and wonderful. The managment is polite and helpful and laid-back, the rooms are charming, and the breakfast is a feast! My husband's and my evening of soaking in a lavendar-scented jetted tub, sipping sherry by our fire, and crawling into a soft cozy bed was exactly the getaway everyone needs.

My wife and I have been at River Run Cottages B&B no less than 25 times over the past twelve years - sometimes with the family and mostly just the two of us. The scenery is exquisite, the charm unparalleled, and the service makes us feel completely pampered. The attention to detail is obvious in the decorations, furnishings, comfortable bedding and towels, extra amenities, gourmet breakfasts, and personal attention given by the owners, Will and Barb. Paradise on the river!

River Run Cottages B&B is the best place thus far. Will & Barb & Sam are just delightful and sooo awesome. I go there atleast twice a year.

We enjoyed the outdoor soaker tub while it rained and the wood burning stove. The view of the river is beautiful and calming. But the crepes for breakfast were way too sweet.

There are lots of B&B's that offer clean, comfortable rooms, good food, and good value. What sets River Run Cottages apart are three things: 1) From the personal attention of the owners Barb and Will, to their caring staff, they couldn't do enough for us. We have some food allergies and they were extra accomodating. 2) It is located right on the river, a beautiful setting, and close by a friendly town. And 3) The ducks and swans always seemed to show up on cue! Now, if you are reading this note, please don't believe me, we want to keep it a secret for friends and family. We have stayed at River Run four times including our first stay in 2002. We will return again. We consider Will, Barb, and Sam as very special people. The gourmet breakfasts and relaxed atmosphere are perfect for us. Their location is excellent and being right on the Fraiser River is a real plus. It is a short/pleasant walk into Ladner to enjoy lunch or dinner. You have a short drive to Vancouver and are close to the ferry for a day trip to Vancouver Island. We always enjoy the flowers, farms, fruit of the season, and many birds, including the ducks and swans that we are able to feed from the deck. Excellant accomodations during the 2010 Olympics. Great breakfast in the morning allowed me to get ready to attend events. After attending events I had a great place to return each day to sleep to due the same thing the next day. Great hosts and I would recommend to anyone to stay at this unique bed and breakfast.

We have stayed here twice in the last two years. In 2009 for our honeymoon and in 2010 for a weekend getaway. It is absolutely fabulous and I'm nervous to have too many people read this because I don't want it to get so busy that I can't get in anymore! :) Completely peaceful, amazing food and service. Such nice little touches like everytime we'd go out we'd come back in the afternoon to some fresh scones, or cookies or cupcakes. So lovely. We've stayed in two different rooms and both were wonderful. Every possible little thing you could think of has been thought of and provided. We especially love that you can head in to Vancouver which is so close and take in the sights but you can retreat back to Ladner and this cozy place on the river. Sit on the deck with a glass of wine and watch the ducks and feel miles and miles away from the bustle of the city. The first year we went we brought our dog and he was battleing cancer so we were so happy to be able to bring him with us. When we arrived the little card on our door said "Welcome Andrea, John and Chico". So sweet. We will always be grateful that Chico was able to come with us. We lost him just three months later. We are grateful for River Run Cottages and can't wait to go back!

We had an incredible, romantic getaway so close to town. The combination of a house boat and bed and breakfast establishment, was not only unique, but delightful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and Barb, Will and "Elmo", made us feel right at home. We will be back!!

Though we live nearby; staying there was like a world away from it all!! Speaking from someone whose had travelled the world; this is truly a gem which a part of me want to keep quiet about; but honestly worth all its Gold!!!!

As a Christmas gift, I gave my husband a gift certificate to stay in one of the River Run houseboats. We were amaized at the beautiful woodwork, the spectacular view of the Fraser River and all the small touches, like the wood stove that was all ready to be lit when we came in. I especially loved the comfy bed which was above the bathroom with its tiny bathtub. The breakfast was also delicious and artfully presented. And best of all, it was close to home!

We stayed with you for 2 nights about 9 years ago - We still have wonderful memories of the place. The idyllic river, the ducks, the stone shower! We built one just like it in our Galiano cottage! Dinner in Ladner - superb at La Belle Auberge. Bike ride to to Rifle Waterfouwl range. I would like to do every year. We still enjoy receiving the newslettters. Would love to go again (even though we live veryclose (Vancouver) and have a cottage on Galiano Island of our own we still affiliate ourselves with River Run Cottages even though we have only been once! We took advantage of having dinner in the room that Barb and Will offered and we were so pleased that we weren't out looking for some where to eat in the dark and the food was fabulous. This way we had more time to reconnect with each other for our special getaway. River Run made this experience a special memory that all couples should have a chance to experience. We enjoyed the birds and books and bed. I encourage anyone thinking about doing this to come and enjoy the opportunity that awaits.
