Decorated and furnished in the Victorian style, you will find the rooms to be quite large and comfortable with twelve foot ceilings. Aunt Rebecca's offers transportation ease. At the corner of our block catch a Bus to all the exciting places in the City. Just a block away is the Penn Station linking you to most States in the Union. Gramercy, a majestic Tudor style mansion and estate, situated on 45 acres in Maryland's Greenspring Valley, provides elegant hospitality. Guests enjoy the Olympic size pool, tennis court, extensive woodland trails, Honeybrook Stream, a working organic farm, and classic flower gardens. In addition to five spacious public rooms with fireplaces, the mansion offers antiques, oriental carpets, artwork, high ceilings, a stunning grand staircase, chandeliers and a serene outdoor terrace. Railroad magnate, Alexander Cassatt, brother of Impressionist painter Mary Cassatt, presented this historic house as a wedding present to his daughter. Later occupants included the Brewster family, descendants of Benjamin Franklin, and the Koinonia Foundation, a predecessor of the Peace Corps. The Carriage House and Gramercy Mansion are also available for weddings, meetings, seminars and parties. Located 20 minutes from the Inner Harbor and Oriole Park, Gramercy provides easy access to museums, historic sites, theater and fine restaurants. Scarborough Fair is a Georgian-style building. Its gabled and dormered roof and bricks laid in Flemish bond indicate it is one of the oldest structures in the neighborhood, dating to 1801. A block east on Montgomery, one can view the original cobblestone paving typical of the area in the 1800's. One block further, the visitor who climbs the steps to Federal Hill is rewarded with the best panoramic view of the Baltimore harbor. Also nearby in the Federal Hill community are wonderful small bistros, quaint shops and the renowned Cross Street Market, where residents and visitors shop for fresh meats, produce and seafood. In late afternoon, you'll find sweet treats in the dining room as well.
