Things that bug me (besides the usual clean and nice stuff).... 1) Margarine. Margarine is wrong if it's all that is offered on your toast at a B&B. Especially icky tasting margarine. These guys offered both- excellent idea. 2) Marginal fare.... read more

Great place to stay for a mountain bike trip. Ideally placed close to the trails, so after a great breakfast it's a hop on the bike and the trails start in the yard. CJ has a wealth of knowledge of the trails and is happy to show them to you.

The 'upper pond' is obscured with flowers and lilly pads…butterflies flutter about, the waterfall gurgles…The Patio Room features two twins (Serta firm mattresses) or one king. When a king, a 'Memory Foam Topper' completes a very comfortable arrangement. Private entrance provides access to Hot Springs Spas right outside your door, with excellent mountain views. The 'forked tree' outside is the home of the Harris's Hawks and you can watch the hummingbirds' aerial combat right outside the door! Privacy screening and tinting on windows, Wi-Fi and ceiling fan in room.
The Green Room features two twins (Serta firm mattresses) or one king. When a king, a 'Memory Foam Topper' completes a very comfortable arrangement. On-site wildlife photos adorn the walls. Junipers and ash outside the window provide a cool sleeping spot in summer for our bobcats, as well as the nesting area for hummingbirds, cardinals, verdin, pyrrhuloxia and many others. Down comforters/duvets, Wi-Fi and ceiling fan in roomFull HD Home Theatre is yours to enjoy!!! Sink into a comfortable leather chair or a spot on the overstuffed leather couch and immerse yourself in a movie or one of our own nature presentations. With 300 DVD titles from which to choose, we're sure there will be something you'll like! Also in the 'fun room', you'll find an Italian slate billiard table and darts for your enjoyment.
Mountain view/Sitting Room: Sip your coffee or tea from the window bench seat. Also, these oversized chairs look entice you to curl up with your partner and gaze at Samaniego Ridge of the Santa Catalina Mountains. the walls are adorned with nature photography, taken on the property. If here with your group, these chairs convert to 'full mattress size' futons and are endorsed as 'quite comfy' by Mr Keith Bontrager of Trek/Gary Fisher/Bontrager Bicycles.

Note: The clock IS NOT SET TO CHIME OR TICK!!!Trails right from the doorstep into the Santa Catalina Mountains! Your host, MaryEllen, (in the white) joins a guest on a mountain bike ride, heading home down Roller Coaster Trail. Explore…with the looming mountains on one side and expansive views of the Tucson and Tortolita mountains across the valley, something new is waiting for you…
Sunset, from the porch, on the Santa Catalina Mountain Range. The three peaks center left are part of Samaniego Ridge. This sunset was in December of 2008, after a mountain snow had dusted the ridge and left pockets of white gleaming in the valleys.WE DO NOT HAVE YELLOW HUMMINGBIRDS!!! This is pollen all over a female Costa's Hummingbird (Calypte costae), taking a rest between flowers. We have 13 hummingbird feeding stations around the property, as well as shrubs and flowers planted to entice our feathered buddies. The hummingbirds nest in the junipers and do their aerial courtship and battles with no mind of the humans watching their every move. June 13, 2009 @ The Oasis
