Lovely little place with interesting host/owner. Continental breakfast offered seemed out of place/character.....could be much improved at little additional cost to the business. In all other respects I enjoyed my stay at Baby Quail.

This was a comfortable, friendly place to stay as I explored Sedona. The rooms were clean and well appointed, but not fancy - which was fine. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. It's an easy walk to Choclatree for tasty vegetarian fare.

The baby Quail Inn is in a quiet neighborhood just off the main street through Sedona. The area was central to all that we wanted to do, yet peaceful and quiet. Our room, 3A, was larger than I expected and the bathroom area was great! There is plenty of outside seating and it was so nice to eat breakfast outside or sit out in the evening with a glass of wine and relax. The hot tub was good, especially after along day of hiking. Breakfast is your basic muffins, fruit, yogurt and cereal, but that was all we needed. A well priced and comfortable stay.

Beautiful little Inn with spotless rooms and gracious hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Dick and Misty, the inn owners. Dick has many tales to tell and enjoys 'performing' every morning at breakfast. My husband and I would stay there again when we are in Sedona!

My wife & I were given a recommendation to stay at the Baby Quail Inn by some friends who've stayed there in the past. When we arrived after the office had closed, they had left an envelope taped to the door that contained our room key & a letter welcoming us. Accessing our room on the 2nd floor was easy by way of staircase at the end of the building. The room was clean & tidy & appeared to have been updated. King size bed was very comfortable & the bathroom was large & well appointed. Althought no tub (just an oversized shower), which wasn't an issue for us as we're not "tub" people. Coffee maker was in the room as was a small TV & VCR (they could probably update the hotel even more by putting flat screen TV`s & DVD players in). This is not a fancy place by any means. Appears to be an older ``motel`` that the owners have updated. The best part of our 2 night stay, was meeting that same owner. Dick Curtis is a retired Hollywood star who appeared in a number of commercials & CBS television shows. He has a museum of sorts set up in the dining area (where they provide continental breakfasts daily) where he will regail you with stories of the shows he`s been on as well as all of the celebrities that he`s worked with & known over his extensive entertaining career. If it weren`t for all of the sites we wanted to see in Sedona & area, we could have sat & talked with him all day & I`m sure he would still have not told us all of his stories. The other staff at the Inn are also gracious & very accomodating. Dick & his wife have owned the Baby quail Inn Inn for a few years & are reason enough to want to return again next time we go to Sedona. You could pay a lot more for a lot less in that city & wouldn`t have the opportunity to meet a real life celebrity!! Thanks Dick, for your hospitality!!!

Nothing spectacular about the rooms, but friendly and personal service counts for a lot these days - I would definitely make it my number one choice if in Sedona again. Shouldn't be sitting around in your room anyway when visiting this town!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Baby Quail Inn on a weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and meeting Dick Curtis. He was in the Breakfast room when we went down on Saturday morning, and regaled us with stories of his acting career and all the people he had met during his days as an Actor. The lobby and Breakfast room are filled with pictures of his acting career and all of the famous people he met and worked with over the years. We would definitely stay there again.

Our room was small, but very clean and we didn't spend much time in it anyway! The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. The price was very affordable. We will be staying again!

Baby Quail Inn is a good value for Sedona. It's right off the main drag in West Sedona and tucked into a residential neighborhood. The courtyard areas outside are adorable and the rooms are cute. Housekeeping was sporadic, but overall cleanliness was good. We were never able to take advantage of the breakfast offered as we were up and out too early each day. This place is not for those who want resort-style accommodations or 24/7 office staff, but if you want something fun and funky at a good price you'll like it.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Room was so so comfortable and clean. Had a nice quiet stay. Loved that it is right off the main road but not directly on it. A great place to relax after a long day of hiking.

We loved our stay at Baby Quail Inn! It is the most affordable place in all of Sedona. The location is great, the rooms are basic but nice (they each have microwaves and mini-fridges which is great!). The continental breakfast is basic but satisfying. The staff is very friendly. A great stay! We will return!

We had a wonderful time, came down to mt. bike and the location is great we only had to drive one day to get to some a trail head. It's quiet and very well priced. Staff is very friendly.

I travel all the time for work and am a bit of a "hotel snob". I was hesitant to stay here (mainly because it looks like a "motel" with doors to the outside), but I have to say, it was extremely clean (more than a lot of highend chains) and very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised and even extended our stay another night. The staff is so friendly, accomodating, and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Sedona. Thank you!

This is a small B&B. It had everything we need for 2 nights stay. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi. The owner couple is so nice and friendly!!

looked this location up on line and read other reviews to make my decision. I have to agree with everything that was said. Don't expect large rooms, but keep in mind in Sedona you won't want to be in your room. The room was clean and the service was fantastic. Thanks for making our stay very comfortable.

If you want to spend time in your room, this may not be the place for you, but Sedona is a place for outdoor enthusiasts and we enjoyed out time here. Our corner king room, #4, had a table and chairs and everything we needed to make breakfast and snacks - refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was huge, but the room a tad small. The bed was extremely comfortable and the hosts wonderful, including the staff who were nothing but friendly and helpful. This felt like a home away from home and was nicely located near everything but not in the thick of it. Above all, it was very reasonably priced. We will return.

Great location, very thoughtfulstaff and owners. The room was tiny but had everything you could want. The beds were too soft for our taste however, or mayber just need replacement. Nice bedding however. We would recomment it.

First class, all the way!! Dick & Misty, along with others I met at the front desk, were so friendly and extremely helpful! The museum in their dining room (free continental breakfast and awesome coffee!) was an added bonus - my parents are big fans of all the old actors and comedians greats and Dick was kind enough to autograph a piece for both of my parents. Would highly recommend the Baby Quail Inn to anyone!

This place is not super fancy but very well located and great value. The innkeepers are kindly retired Hollywood personalities. The dining room is a little museum with memorabilia. There is nice little jacuzzi. The location is great for walking to coffee, store and other shopping and is outside the main rush of the center of Sedona. Great value in a wonderful place.

The Baby Quail Inn fit the bill. While it is an Inn and not a B&B, it was a great place to stay! While the room is small, it was absolutely spotless and the bed was comfortable - and that's all I was looking for after a day of hiking. There is also a cute outdoor patio with lots of places to sit and read and also a hot tub. Breakfast is pre-packaged cereals, yogurt, etc. but we opted to check out some in-town breakfast places (like the UFO-themed Red Planet Diner). The inn is also within walking distance to a natural grocery store, cafes, and restaurants. Last but now least, the owners were fantastic. Misty and Dick are a very sweet and kind couple. Misty was very welcoming and nice to talk to and Dick has some great conversation about his entertainment career. I would definitely stay again!

My wife and I live in Phoenix and frequent Sedona at least a few times a year. We wanted to spend a few days there over Thanksgiving this year to decompress from life so I went to work to find a place. I happened across the Baby Quail Inn on BedandBreakfast.com and thought the price was great so I went to the reviews and they were steller. The service and cleanliness seemed to be a common theme. So we committed to stay there and they didn't disappoint. The location was perfect being close to shopping and restaurants but away from the road and quiet. They had a free video library to browse thru to take care of any spare time in the room. The bathroom and shower were excellent. We're definitely coming back!

Room was clean and comfortable, if on the small side. The bathroom was huge and attractive. Our stay was quiet and relaxed. Coffee and continental breakfast were decent and the proprietors were nice as could be. close to nearly anything we needed, and dinner at the Olde Sedona (next door) was the best meal of our vacation. we would definitely stay at the baby quail again on a trip to beautiful Sedona.

just beautiful facilities. the staff was so friendly. i really felt like part of the family. i really wish we could have stayed longer. the location was central and it was very safe, which was very important for my mother and i traveling by ourselves. will definitely make it a point to come back!!

It was a comfortable if small room, with a large updated bathroom and very disappointing internet connection. The price was right and it's a cute little spot.

We stayed two nights at the Baby Quail. The room was very clean and had all of the expected amenities, including robes! The bathroom was spacious and the shower was hot with good water pressure. The bed was comfy and we loved having the hot tub available after long days of hiking. We didn't have a lot of time to interact with the owners and staff, but everyone was pleasant and welcoming. We checked out and drove up to Grand Canyon for three days and then decided to come back to Sedona for our last day and boooked another room at the Baby Quail... so we mean in when we say that we would definitely go back. :) The Inn is also very close to grocery stores, restaurants and "downtown" Sedona. We're very happy with Baby Quail.

We came back because we liked the room- clean and spacious bathroom. The service was very nice as before, but my friend was disappointed in the dining experience. It was not the quality as the previous stay. I am on a restricted diet so I appreciated the little fridge and microwave- we also liked the table/chairs--- real coffee cups!

Best value for the money in Sedona. Misty and Dick will treat you like family. They are the nicest couple you will ever meet. Dick's stories at breakfast about his days in show business will intrigue you.

We stayed 2nd weekend of Sept. We will definitely return here! The small room was not a problem because the point of trip was not to stay in room but be outside. Nice to have such a big bathroom - the long counter great! Nice that could open windows to get fresh air. Although just off the main road - did not hear any traffic noise. Bed very comfortable! But what was the best was the garden area in front - so relaxing, beautiful flowers and wonderful to have tall pine trees, nice calming fountain - many chairs, benches tables so always had a spot to sit. Hot tub well maintained - just right amount of chlorine - and nice touch to have towels available by the hot tub. Very comfy robes in the room - nice touch. Awesome place to stay - great value! My husband and I will definitely come back! Friendly, helpful staff. Oh yeah - must mention - great location because just a short walk from Whole Foods and a nice strip mall with a couple of restaurants - the Chinese one has a nice area to sit outside and they have an awesome live band on Friday nights. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. At breakfast we were personally greeted by the owner who shared with us some of his experiences as an actor and a soldier in WWII & Korea. This was one of the highlights of our trip. We will definitely come back.

Rooms are small but very clean. Large bathroom. Great service, excellent breakfast, and overall good value for the money. We had a wonderful time in Sedona and would stay here again.

Lovely hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay at Baby Quail inn and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. We were given great advice on where the good places to dine nearby were.

We were going on a very quick trip through Sedona and happened upon Baby Quail Inn on-line while planning our trip. All the reviews seemed to point to it as a perfect place for us. It was convenient, comfortable, CLEAN, and had all the amenities to make our stay perfect. I would not even look else where when going back to Sedona.

The drawers in the bathroom smelled funny, and the contact paper needs to be changed, it's peeling away from the wood. I avoided using the drawers entirely. Continental breakfast was OK, would've been nice to have something like fresh bagals or English mufins. Everything was prewrapped, which is good if you want to take it with you, but not very appealing for breakfast. Fruit/yogurt was a nice touch. Ver pleased with the people working the front desk. Very helpful, and very friendly.

Staff was very helpful and responsive to our needs and requests. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was just packaged continental and was not served until 8.

The inn is a reminder of all those baby boomer car trips when your mom and dad took you on holidays in the summer and you stayed at a motel just like this one. It was a funky blast from the past.

The Baby Quail was conveniently located. Our room was a little small, but it had a good bathroom with lots of counterspace and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was a little lame, with prepackaged cinnamon rolls (like from a vending machine). They did have cereal but no juice. There was fresh fruit though, oranges and bananas. Over all I would probably stay there again.

Accomodations were as lovely as the surroundings. Misty, Dick and staff were helpful and friendly. The room provided everything a traveler needs as well as being quiet and comfortable. It is centrally located and reasonably priced. We intend to visit there again.

Misty & Dick Curtis' place is only a few miles from traffic jam that is downtown Sedona. The place is a little older but very clean, organized and very delightful. When in Sedona, you don't spend much time in your room other than to sleep, shower, or eat breakfast before going out. This place is perfect for that. And Dick's stories and experiences are fun to listen to. Even though I live less than 2 hours drive from there in Phoenix, I WILL return.

The Inn was off the beaten path, quiet and quaint. The courtyard was relaxing with the plants, birds and the water feature. The staff was a great help in advising about local eateries and things to see and do. Altough not use, the Inn has a large library of movies that can be borrowed and taken back to the rooms. The rooms were clean, neat and too decorated, but well supplied with pillows, towels and in-room coffe.

We only spent one night, but were very pleased with the accommodations. Clean and neat, exactly like the discription and pictures. With only one day for sightseeing, Misty gave us recommendations that fit our schedule and limitations. (Trolly Tour, self driving route, and lunch at Enchancement). During breakfast, Dick gave us a synopsis of his acting career, fascinating.

We were pleasantly surprised. The photos and description are 100% accurate. The room was clean and comfortable. The owner was a delight, and very interesting to speak with. The general manager was very personable and helpful. Great value for the money. Only complaint was the TV was very small, but we were able to play our own DVD movies which was a nice feature. I would definitely return to this Inn. Perfect location also!

We had a wonderful stay at the Baby Quail Inn. It was clean, quiet and the service was very good. When we return to Sedona, we will try to stay there again. I would highly recommend the Inn.

Didn't know what to expect, but location was important to me. We were concerned wihen we saw it was a small 1980s vintage motel with a gravel parking lot, however upon entering the grounds and seeing the spa, tables with umbrellas, hearing the water from the small water feature and how well it had been cared for in and out, we had a very enjoyable stay and Dick Curtis is a hoot.

This is not a "spa" or have a long list of amenities but it IS clean, central to everything, nice size room with microwave and mini fridge, updated decor, lots of pillows. Owner/Managers are GREAT. So friendly and outgoing. There is a modest breakfast available in the morning in the central office. I loved it. I was only there one night but would definitely go back. Perfect location. Check my ratings ..... there is no "dining" ..... otherwise perfect 4 star all the way across the board.

My boyfriend and I recently spent a night at Baby Quail Inn and absolutely loved it. The property is small but very lovely and the couple that runs it are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Located in the heart of Sedona, there are many wonderful places to eat within minutes of the property. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again whenever we are in Sedona.

This was our second stay and it was even better than before! Very nice and quiet Inn.

We only stopped to sleep for one night, so we did not stay for very long. The room was small, but had all the necessities and a book of hiking trails. The bathroom was much larger than I expected, and everything was very clean and well kept. The best part of the stay was meeting Mr. and Mrs. Curtis. They were absolutely fabulous! Bottom line: If you are in Sedona, you should not be hanging out in your hotel room. Baby Quail has all the requirements and a special touch of love from the people who operate it. Stay here!

We had a wonderful experience at the Baby Quail. We traveled to Sedona last minute for the weekend and asked for a recommendation for dinner. They gave us the BEST places to eat and see the sights and do some shopping. The staff was so great it made the absolute most of our short time there. Rooms were very clean and bed was extremely comfortable. It felt like staying with family.

We would definitely stay again at the Baby Quail Inn. The price is very reasonable, our room was clean, the location is close to everything. Many restaurants and stores are within a quick walking distance. Dick & Misty are fun, friendly and very hospitable. It was quite nice chatting with them each day over breakfast. They were always willing to answer questions about the area, and provide maps & directions. I have nothing negative to say about our stay here. Given the price we paid, you can't beat it. They also have a cute dog (Babe) that is very friendly with all the guests. I looked forward to seeing her come over to see us each morning. I miss her already.

I wanted to take my boyfriend out of town for a romantic vacation to Sedona during Memorial Day Weekend. I began planning the trip a little late and was having trouble trying to book a room that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. Fortunately I came across Baby Quail Inn and was surprised by their reasonable prices. I was a little weary of the hotel since the price was so cheap but I figured we would only be sleeping there so I didn't think too much of it. We arrived at the hotel on Saturday Afternoon and were promptly greeted by the staff. Our room wouldn't be ready for another half an hour so we went to get something to eat. When we came back we were greeted by a different person who works for the hotel who was just as helpful and kind as the last. Our room was immaculate and quaint with a fridge, coffee maker, ceramic mugs, VCR, and a nice sized separate bathroom. The bed was comfortable and there was lots of storage space. In the morning we went to get some breakfast were greeted by Dick, the man who owns the hotel. The eating area is plastered with photos of Old Hollywood which Dick took no time telling us stories about. My boyfriend and I sat with him for about an hour as Dick told us stories of his career in film, theater, and TV. What a treat!!! This hotel was amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better hotel! It's reasonably priced, clean, adorable, and the staff is amazingly friendly! I can't wait to go back!

This is different than what you expect a B&B to be. It looks the typical two level outside entrance motel. Yet it is clean, has fridge, microwave, coffee pot, iron, hair dryer and the longest vanity I have ever experienced. Outside you will find the ice machine and a gated hot tub. You will also find a continental style breakfast in the morning room just off the office and the owner, a retired actor with great stories to tell.

We have stayed at the Baby Quail on and off over the past several years and it is always great. It is in a secluded little neighborhood that adds to the charm. We are planning our wedding in Sedona for 2013 and the Baby Quail is right across the street from most of our vendors so the location is perfect!! We highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!

This is an excellent motel with a moderate price and the cleanliness and size of the room for the price is excellent. It has a convenient location to a variety of interesting sights and the staff was extremely helpful in giving information of things to do and see. Would recommend to anyone.

I loved the cleanliness, the comfort, the QUIET, the garden, the morning camaraderie, the very very helpful desk staff, and Dick and his wife and "Babe." Charming fun, and a handsome Hollywood star, to boot!

While Sedona is very beautiful, it can be pricey to stay there. We were travelling from Nova Scotia, Canada, and were delighted to find this cozy place via our GPS. Thoroughly enjoyed resting with cold drinks on the comfortable patio/yard and watching the birds play in the fountain. Bathroom was a very good size for 2 people getting ready in the morning, and I was pleased to find bathrobes in this accommodation. Left too early to partake of the breakfast offerings, but we certainly liked everything else! In fact, we tried to rebook on our way back to Phoenix, but it was fully booked :(

My husband and I came to Sedona for a few days in April and stayed at the Baby Quail Inn. Misty & Dick were amazing hosts and were incredibly helpful in suggesting places to go. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the fridge and microwave was really an added bonus that helped a lot with my husband who is a snacker! There is also a great selection of movies you can bring to your room and watch! The memorabilia around the lobby is so fun to check out and learning about Dick's amazing entertainment career over breakfast just adds to it! I would definitely recommend staying here if not for the atmosphere and charm but also the value and central location! We were walking distance to many restaurants and shops and had a beautiful view of coffeepot rock! Thanks Dick & Misty for a wonderful trip! Hope to come back soon!

This was the second time that I have stayed at the Baby Quail Inn. I love that it is small, quiet, and always extremely clean. I stayed, this time, because I was getting married up in Sedona. I recommended everyone to stay at the Baby Quail Inn.

I spent two nights at the Baby Quail. I had to move downstairs the second night, due to a knee injury. The staff had already moved my belongings before I got back from the conference I was attending. The hot tub was lovely and my stay exceeded my expectations. The coffee was wonderful and the fruint and danishes (sorry, I owe you a danish or too) very yummy. Lovely courtyard and a very sound sleep. Thank you all for such clean and comfortable accommodations! I highly recomend! Darcy

Place was really nice. The staff was very friendly and the rooms are really clean.

Misty & Dick were very helpful with suggestions of places to hike, eat, and to shop. My room was very comfortable, and I was amazed to find the bathroom has a handicap accessible shower even though it was on the second floor with only staircase access to get up there.

Great service, very clean and friendly staff including Mr. Curtis at breakfast - what a treat! Everything was exceptional except the bed could have been a little more comfortable. My husband and I always have a problem with beds with little support as his weight sinks the bed down in the middle and I am constantly trying to fight an uphill battle to the edge of the bed. It's our problem with almost everyplace we stay at.

After reading the positive reviews, I decided to book at Baby Quail Inn. We had a positive experience during our stay. The young woman at the desk when we checked in was very accommodating and recommended a place for a sunset picnic. Breakfast was enjoyable and entertaining with Dick Curtis, our host, sharing his experiences. The only drawback...the bed was not quite as comfortable as we would have liked.

Stayed four nights at this lovely spot close to everything in Sedona. Enjoyed the hot tub and friendly atmosphere in the breakfast nook. Lovely couple who posted our key when we were arriving late. Made us feel very at home with comfortable and quiet surroundings.

We stayed one night at the Baby Quail Inn, and found it to be above our expectations! The room was very clean and so comfortable/cozy looking with the beautifully painted walls, etc. The bed was VERY comfortable and everything just felt like home! In the morning, we were treated to a nice relaxing time and good fruit, yogurt, and sweet rolls, while hearing very interesting stories from Dick, the owner. He made a wonderful night's stay even better by his friendliness and great conversation. We even received an autograph and had our picture taken with him before we left. We definitely will stay at the Baby Quail Inn again if we are in Sedona and we highly recommend it to anyone that would be visiting Sedona. It was a great value at an excellent price!!

Its cost performance is very good. The room is clean and its location is good close to airport mesa spot while the fee is inexpensive. Only bad point is its breakfast. Just cereal/milk and some fruit. Too poor.

Was looking for a non-chain hotel in Sedona for myself and my wife. I came across the Baby Quail Inn, looked at the photos, read the reviews, discussed with my wife and then made the reservations! We spent the previous day in Phoenix and then drove to Sedona in the late afternoon so by the time we actually got into town it was dark and that made it difficult to find Willow Way. Lucky for me, from some of the reviews, I knew to look for New Frontiers market and once I saw that I knew I was very close and found the street. Checked in, got our key and settled in. Rooms are cute but not too small and very clean. Bathrooms are also very clean. Overall, very nice and well-maintained! I think my only serious complaint has to do with the mattress. They seems quite soft for my tastes and back. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable time. Misty and Dick are very wonderful and nice people! They love to chat with their guests about anything and everything. And you simply must get Dick's 60 second tour of his photo collection that adorns the walls. And how can I forget Babe?! Babe, their dog, is so cute and adorable! Just don't try to pick her up. Let Misty or Dick do that then hand her over to you. Then she's comfortable. Misty recommended a great place to buy local Native American jewelry that's a short drive North of Sedona and Dick recommended a tour for us. Both of which we really enjoyed! A nice property and great value for the price. But there is a very loud bar on the east side of the building that kept me up late on Friday and Saturday. Not very relaxing, but there's nothing that the owners can do about it apparently.

the "museum" experience with ex hollywood star, dick, was fun but a bit oppressive. i would not call this place a bed and breakfast, but rather a motel with breakfast. i've stayed in places very similar for lower prices, but those places weren't in sedona. over all, a clean, nice place with kind service.

My husband and I stayed at the Baby Quail in January for my birthday this year. The price was VERY reasonable compared to other places in Sedona and we were very satisfied with our room. The room was pretty small, but it was all we needed - very clean, very nice size bathroom and the TV had a VCR/DVD player, so we were able to go rent a movie from the redbox! Would definitely stay there again :)

Price was very reasonable. Room was good, clean, except for coffee pot. Service was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was okay, and I know for that price it can't be on a grand scale but I would have liked some orange juice, since I don't drink coffee, tea, or milk.

Hosts Dick and Misty Curtis were very hospitable. Continental breakfast was excellent. They made reservations for us for a wonderful lunch at a nearby resort community.

I picked this place as it was very well priced during the off season and offered a complimentary breakfast. The room was cute, there was a small table with coffee pot and tea. The bathroom was large, but no tub, only a shower. I have no problem with that. My only complaint about the room is that bed was a little hard for my taste. The breakfast is your usual hotel faire, muffins, danishs, fruit, oatmeal and the like. The owner came out and chatted with me, he is extremely friendly and entertaining. There are a couple of restaraunts across the street and a bar/restaurant around the corner. This place was quiet and low key, which is exactly what I wanted, so it worked out wonderfully. I would stay here again.

My husband and I spent nine nights and were very comfortable. Atmosphere was very nice with no smoking and no pets. The cost was reasonable. The outside area was clean and quiet. Location was perfect for walking to the "Choclatree Cafe" and the "New Frontier Market".

We spent our Anniversary at The baby Quail Inn. It was a quiet , charming little place. The greeter was very informative and plesant. The room was clean and met our expectations. I am certain we will be booking another stay at this B & B.

I was really impressive with the little details. We were headed to the Grand Canyon and didn't want to spend much on a room. I booked online and was worried about what I might find, but every little detail exceeded my expectation. Real coffee cups, robes, maps, and a Magnifying mirrow in bathroom added to my surprise. We made reservations for Thursday, but had to postpone at 3pm the day of. We counted on eating the money, but called and they allowed us to reschedule with no problem. Unusual, but appreciated. We arrived on thanksgiving day at 4pm. There was an envelope taped to the office door with our name on it. My wife said that was the most painless check in she ever experienced. The room was small and the bathroom was huge. Seemed like a waste really. The place was immaculate and cozy with charming decor. The grounds look neat with several patio sets throughout. We stayed ok the second floor (rooms 5-8 I think). Not much of a view (for Sedona), next time I thinly we will opt for the lower level.

The stay was an overall, very positive experience. The owners were very friendly too! My husband and I will definitely come back in the future.

The Baby Quail Inn is a true find. Quaint and comfortable, our stay here while in Sedona, was great. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the Inn itself is clean and well maintained with comfortable beds, a lovely courtyard and nice hot tub. Included is a reasonable continental breakfast which was sufficient with coffee/tea/cocoa, fruit, hot and cold cereals and danish. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend the Baby Quail Inn to the budget minded traveller.

We were very pleased with Baby Quail Inn in all aspects. Prior to our arrival I had called a few times to check on different things and they always were very helpful and prompt. When we arrived they went out of there way to ensure that we knew how to get around and answered all of our questions about the Grand Canyon, dining in Sedona and hikes all around the area. One morning it snowed, gorgeous, but more importantly, they cleaned off our vehicles before we were even up! and we were up at 6am!!! The owners were very charismatic and so friendly. We would recommend Baby Quail to anyone who likes to feel at home, and comfortable while on vacation. Thank you Baby Quail!!

The host is quite a character. The price is right. The rooms are small and the fan in the bathroom didn't work as expected: It turns itself off and on at it's own discretion and is very loud. The walls are very thin, and you can hear your neighbors, and your neighbors can hear you. But, there is great dining, coffee and grocery shopping within easy walking distance! Nobody walks around this part of town, though. It is nice if you're on a budget.

If you are looking for a nice simple but old place this is a great choice. Excellent value. I stayed 3 nights and would have been happy to stay longer. Some of the nicest most personal front desk staff you will ever meet.

very pleasant staff and owner. Breakfast very boring and they even ran out of bananas on the second morning. The establishment was a motel, but the title of Inn led us to expect a little more.

We have visited Sedona at several B and B's. For us,the Baby Quail Inn was in a convenient location and was very affordable (especially for Sedona). We need a nice place to come to and not a lot of frills. The rooms were clean and Misty and Dick were great hosts. The break nook has several photos of Dick's Television and movie career. He enjoyed sharing a lot of interesting stories. They and the staff were very helpful in securing reservations and providing information on the area. It was a great place to base our hiking and jeep trips. The continental breakfast was similar to a Fairfield or Quality Inn. I will request a rear room on our next visit to lessen the traffic noise, (we prefer an open window).

I love this little inn tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in West Sedona. It's a great value and within walking distance of restaurants (Chocolate Tree!) groceries and hiking. It's become our little go-to retreat when we need a break from Phoenix.

This is a lovely place to stay. The people were friendly and helpful, the rooms very clean and amenities were excellent. It's in a convenient location and resonably priced. I have really enjoyed my stay here. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

My friend and I stayed at the Baby Quail Inn and we had a great stay. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable and it looks like it has been upgraded recently. The bathroom is quite large. The TV is not state of the art, but it comes with a VCR and plenty of free VCR movies at the front desk. We thought that was cute. We did not have time to watch anything though. The breakfast selection was full of prepackaged pastry items (the kind with in insane list of ingredients). It also included fruit such as apples and bananas. Coffee and tea was also available. The breakfast was not of interest to me, but free continental breakfast never usually is of interest. I would much rather go to one of the many coffee shops in Sedona. It was way too hot to get in the hottub, but if it was cooler it would have been a plus. I would definitly stay at the Baby Quail Inn the next time I am in Sedona!

If you are looking for clean rooms, homely feel and friendly hosts, this place is for you. Quiet but central, good value. We have recommended it to friends in Tucson who visit Sedona regularily. You may have to book early.

The folks at Baby Quail were super nice. The room was clean and decent size. The bathroom was updated with granite counters. Our only problem was the air conditioner was not up to par. Breakfast was more like a continental style. Muffins, fruit, instant oatmeal and coffee. Not one of the better B&B breakfasts we've had, but it made it easy for us to grab and go. It is in a very quite area of old Sedona and only a few minute drive to downtown.

Friendly, helpful owners - also entertaining. If you're not all about the frills, this is a great location and value.

I typically don't fill out reviews, I'm always skeptical that they are fake, but in this case I felt I had to say something. I really wasn't expecting much, but for one night, it didn't really matter. The Baby Quail was a surprise and was even better than some of the major chains I've recently stayed at. Well priced, well maintained, slightly off the main path (which I like) and comfortable. Don't expect a fitness center or the other "bonus" features of major hotels (I don't use them anyway). Will stay again and certainly can recommend it

Dick Curtis is a hoot in the morning working the breakfast group as if he were still on the stage in front of hundreds. Office staff super sweet and exceedingly helpful in directions and activity suggestions. So many things to do in Sedona, it was nice to have a friend tell you what you might like and the staff did that. Awesome value, convenient location, clean, comfortable - truly a top rating for this hotel. Each of the 7 or 8 units has it's own exterior entrance with very plush bed, large closet, microwave, fridge, coffee pot, and restroom. First floor continental breakfast is adjacent to the office is adorned with Dick's show business memorabilia.

Everything was great, setting, room, amenities, privacy. A bonus was meeting a retired lifetime well-known actor who owns the B&B. Great, warm discussions. Only criticism is that breakfast (continental) was served between 8 and 10 a.m. , too late for me, and food was "Okay, but below average."

The room was nice and the staff friendly. But the breakfast was pathetic. No juice, just packaged cereals and plastic-packaged pastries. If you're going to be a bed and breakfast, at least have something fresh or even a toaster.

For $100 per night, I got what I paid for. The dining section of this review is not valid for my stay as we did not eat at the Baby Quail. The purpose of our vacation was to hike. The room was as expected, clean and appointed with a fridge, microwave, coffee make and TV. On a bright note, the staff were VERY friendly. More so than what you normally get however, I was very disappointed that the spa was not working as we always make sure a spa is available where ever we vacation. It's a must for us hikers but I was not emailed or phoned that it was non operational. If you do stay here, do NOT stay in room #5. It's at the top of the stairs so you hear everyone coming and going from their rooms. Also the curtains are fitted well away from the wall and the light outside streams onto your face as your head is under the window. I don't think I would stay here again.

I'm always nervous when I don't pay much for a room in a very popular area. I was pleasantly surprised. While the continental breakfast wasn't anything to write home about the room was very clean and quiet and sitting outside watching the birds was oh so relaxing. I didn't use the hot tub but it looked clean. Overall, I will stay here again. Great deal!

What a wonderful place to stay. Especially if you are an old movie and TV buff like me. The rooms are a little small, but very clean and quiet. The proprietor, Dick Curtis is an actor that has appeared in many TV shows and movies (mostly from the 60's and 70's). I met him in his dining area/ memorabilia room and he was glad to walk me through some of the pictures and always has a great story or two to share. His wife, Misty is also a wonderfully sweet person and helped to make our stay a memorable one. She gave us all the information we needed for hiking and dining in the Sedona area during our stay. We will definitely make the Baby Quail Inn a regular stop when we return to Sedona.

We wanted a nce place off the beaten path but still close to shopping and dining. Baby Quail Inn offers an outstanding environment away from the busy scene, quiet and secluded setting, with newly remodeled rooms. I found the rooms clean and the bathroom spacious. Both the owner and the desk personnal were extremely helpful. They helped me with lunch reservations and tour reservations. The breakfast was pleasantly situated outside if desired. Eager to recommend places to see, visit, or eat at. The price was very reasonable and I would highly encourage others to try this B&B

Great Value for Sedona. Very relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed our visit and talk with the owner.

My wife and I drove up to Sedona from Phoenix for a couple days to rest and relax. We met Misty and Dick and their little dog "Babe" during our check in and appreciated their hospitality. Dick gave us a quick review of the many photos honoring his television and movie carreer that are prominently on display in the breakfast dining area. We had little contact with them after that but did find the rest of the staff to be very friendly and helpful!

The young lady on the front desk gave us great advice On where to hike and really helped make our trip memorable.

We stayed one night in Sedona at the Baby Quail Inn on a weeknight during the crowded month of July. The location is just outside of the shopping and tourism district, but its quite easy to get to that area and out of town to the scenic destinations. The hotel clerk- a young blonde woman who's name I cannot remember- was incredibly cheerful and helpful when we checked in and the following morning as she was doing misc clerical and cleaning duties. We were most pleased with her and she offered up some great suggestions on some small activities, like watching the sun set over the mountains at the overlook at the small airport. When we return to Sedona in the future we'll probably stay there again.

The inn is in a nice area of West Sedona. It's within walking distances of several dining options and within driving distance of North Sedona. It's a nice find and was a great place to stay in Sedona for half the price of the other places. The continental breakfast wasn't too bad as it had muffins and fruits and cereals, a perfect light breakfast before exploring. We didn't get a chance to try the spa (it closes at 9pm) but it looks very inviting and would be nice after a day of hiking.

My wife and I were on a road-trip and decided at the last minute that the route should pass through Sedona. We knew we were just in for the night and wanted something clean and inexpensive. We got that and much more. Beyond a warm welcome the room had more amenities than I ever expected, such as a VCR, Microwave, Refrigerator and even Bathrobes! Lisette was there with maps, directions and recommendations for food. The Baby Quail Inn is a class act and when I return to Sedona that is where I'll stay.

I loved the Baby Quail Inn. It really made my stay in Sedona relaxing. The only complaint is that there was a chard of glass under the bed that cut my son's finger; kids always find stuff like that. But, the service made up for the injury and everyone was very sweet and caring. The experience was personable and I appreciated it.

Me and my sister who lives in Phoenix decided to take a weekend get away, It was my sisters birthday. From an online search we found this nice little hide away. It was so wonderful there, so nice and quiet. The bed was so comfortable and the room was clean, no old smoke smell like you get from a Motel 6. We went to Sedona and spent the night and then drove up to Williams. Where we board the train to the Grand Canyon, that was so much fun too. Then we drove back to Sedona after our train ride and spent another night in this wonderful Inn. I will for sure go back to this Inn. The person who checked us in was so polite and friendly. The room was awesome. and the area was so beautiful. Thanks for listening to me and what I have to share.

Dick and Misty were fabulous hosts and provided great information about Sedona area. The rooms were clean the prices were very reasonable. We especially enjoyed sitting in the courtyard area in the mornings before we prepared for the day's activities and in the evening before retiring. Great service!

We were glad to find the Baby Quail Inn in west Sedona, away from the busy, crowded uptown area. It's in a fairly quiet residential area, but restaurants and shopping that residents and visitors patronize were close by. Host Dick Curtis regaled us about his singing, acting and directing careers in Hollywood; he's got a unique collection of photos and momories. Staff is very friendly and accommodating; the room was large, clean and comfortable. This was a comfortable base from which we explored the red rock environs of Sedona. Donna from Kauai

Our stay was very pleasant if somewhat brief. We arrived late coming in from the Grand Canyon and the key and room instructions were taped to the office door for us. Very clean and spacious room. In the morning we met Misty and Dick and were given a tour of the memorabilia in the dining room and lots of information about where to go in Sedona. Will definitely be back to stay the next time we're in Sedona!

I guess the biggest compliment one can give an Inn, is their willingness to stay there again in the future. Yes, we absolutely will. It's obvious that the owners, Dick & Misty Curtis, truly care about their Inn. With the exception of a generic Continental breakfast, every other aspect of their operation was exceptional. Not only is it a good value but it's clean, quaint and the employees are way above average. Plus, meeting and mingling with Dick during breakfast was such a bonus. His TV and Hollywood memorabilia collection / display just added to our positive experience. The bottom line. Next time we visit Sedona, staying at The Baby Quail Inn will be our first choice and we wouldn't hesitate recommending it to others.

I was in Sedona for a seminar and stayed at the Baby Quail for two nights. I had the corner room downstairs with two single beds in it. Very comfortable, not huge but ample room for two people. A round table provided space for computer work. The bathroom had a spacious counter top but poor ventilation for the shower...I opened the window and the problem was solved. I didn't eat breakfast because I prefer organic, fresh food and that was easily available across the street. Very lovely grounds and super friendly, helpful staff. When the room above me was rented there was a bit of noise from above but fortunately the other guests were considerate of their neighbors :) The Baby Quail is perfectly located and easy to access. A bit of heaven on earth.

Their web site and feedback were impressive, so we made a reservation at Baby Quail Inn. Our experience was exactly as expected, very good. We plan to stay there on our next visit to Sedona!

The room is adequate, but the bathroom is huge with lots of counter space and a very nice shower. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants, but not old Sedona. The Curtis's are very nice and accommodating. This was my second visit and I won't hesitate to stay there again in future.

Convenient, very clean, and affordable. The spa was not working. I had some noise from with neighbouring rooms due to a very loud snorer and another with a crying baby. I would ask for an end room in the future and would definitely consider staying here again.

The room was nothing special, but very clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was convenient. Breakfast was instant oatmeal packages with hot water and pre-packaged muffins. Good basic accommodations, but expect to go out for breakfast.

My fiancée and I stayed the Baby Quail while I was on a business trip and it was the best stay ever! The inn was extremely affordable, clean and welcoming. The owners, Misty and Dick were warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the Sedona area. My husband and I had a great stay in Sedona at Baby Quail Inn. Bed was excellent, room was spotless and quiet, and the warm welcome and perfect service from the staff made the whole experience one we wish to repeat. The location of the Inn is excellent, with easy access to many trail heads. We highly recommend Baby Quail Inn.

I loved it there, very good service. For the cost the room was perfect, not much to it but clean and has everything you need. Very cute and quaint. close to everything!

Two nice robes in the closet. Plenty of new pillows and extra blankets, too. The sheets were that luxury type, soft and smoth with high thread count, the type I have seen in places costing $400 a night. The room was immaculate and nicely decorated with floral paintings on real canvas. The bathroom was outstanding, with a handheld shower or fixed, with a seat to sit and shave your legs. Plenty of hot water. Very quiet neighborhood and the grounds are small but well-kept. The outdoor hot tub was sparkling clean as was my room. I slept so well there and owners Dick Curtis and his wife Misty were congenial and interesting. The desk gal when I checked in made me feel welcome and offered info about places nearby. I stayed there so I could walk to the Old Sedona Bar and Grille and watch a great band play and sing. Before the band played, I took a hike up the sunrise trail on Soldier's Pass Road and took photos of the gorgeous scenery. The continental breakfast was simple but I like instant oatmeal. I could have had "goodies" but there was also fresh fruit. It was all wonderful. Not expensive. Great owners who care about their place and about their guests. No wild parties on a Friday night and I felt safe walking and staying there. Better than I expected, I recommend this place and advise that you can't go wrong for the money if you stay at Baby Quail Inn. Neat memorabilia in the breakfast room from the movie/singing/comic career of Inn owner Dick Curtis.

Overall, the Baby Quail Inn is a great value and a very nice place to stay. The rooms are very clean, and the innkeepers and the manager are delightful and very helpful people. The continental breakfast is adequate, but not extensive. The property is nice and well kept with tables and chairs outside for relaxing or enjoying breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Rooms are very clean and newly remodeled and decorated. The staff was very friendly. Snow was even wiped from car windows in the morning! What a service. Would definately go back.
