My wife I stayed a night at this B&B. I had business in Russellville and thought I would treat her to a nights stay at a nice place. It's a classy place and we really enjoyed the stay. I felt like I was living in the 1800's. The residence is beautiful. I wish we could have stayed several days. This was our first time in Little Rock. This a great city with lots of history.

There was no thing that I did not love about Little Rock, AK. The Empress at Little Rock also lived up to its name, as the most charming bed and breakfast. The staff and owners were very attentive and hospitable. I enjoyed the garden area and my room.I loved the fact, that they cater to all travelers. I will definetely return.

We had a great stay at the Empress of Little Rock. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. We stayed in the Petit Jean room, decorated with a nautical flair. It was a quiet and comfortable room. Cordials were provided, and coffee, tea, cocoa, and snacks were available in the upper foyer. Everything about the Inn breathes of welcoming comfort. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the "Secret Garden" is treasure not to be missed. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The service was outstanding, and the staff friendly and courteous. We will definitely make the Empress our home away from home when we next find ourselves in Little Rock!

I thought the room was amazing and the main house was super creepy...which I loved. The only complaint I really had was that the air conditioner would turn itself off during the night so we would wake up roasting.

Amazing property. Every room was really nice and breakfast was things we dont usually get. Dont get to sit out on the porches like that anymore and drink wine which was an extra plus we enjoyed. Also great location, close to the Hwy and downtown. Would definitely go back.

For a young couple's first bed and breakfast experience, the Empress experience will be hard to top. We were greeted upon arrival and immediately felt relaxed and at ease in the Victorian era home. Our room (the Victoria's Irish Garden) was wonderful with the beautiful painting above the bed and the romantic garden themes throughout. We took advantage of the spa shower with the aromatic oils and the double bathtub with jacuzzi jets after a night on the town at the river market. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty and quite the dining experience with unique food items including a delicious cream of apple soup, fresh fruit, and a breakfast pie among other items. The innkeepers were very nice and helped to make our experience even better. Overall, we were very pleased with the entire stay and will certainly return in the future.

The Empress of Little Rock was the most beautiful, awe-inspiring place I have ever stayed at. Over the course of my lifetime, I have stayed at several 5-star hotels, but they pale in comparison. It was the first place I have ever stayed at that felt alive to me—like it wanted to interact with us. On our bedside table were journal entries written by other guests who had stayed at The Empress, sharing their own wonderful experiences. I wish I had had more time to read every single one of those. It was the first place that I did not just consider a place to crash at after a long day exploring the city. It was a place that I wanted to take in. I did not want to go to sleep at night so I could have more time to enjoy its’ beauty. There was so much to see—this building was overflowing with heartwarming secrets. If there is one thing we could have done differently, it would have been to stay in and take in the beauty of The Empress while we still had time, because two nights was not enough for us. I was nearly in tears when it was time for check-out. We will definitely be back in the near future. It left a lasting, positive impression on both of our hearts. It has been over two weeks since we left, and the awe that it left us with has not dissipated. We still talk about it every day. Service was fantastic. Our breakfasts were so refreshing, filling and delicious. Our room was beautiful and had we were met with complimentary sparkling wine, chocolates, and amaretto for our sipping pleasure. I highly recommend The Empress to everyone, and the room we stayed in, the Washburn-Welch, is my new cover picture on Facebook! The picture on The Empress’ site, though beautiful, does not do it justice. It has to be experienced in person. It was my first time in Arkansas, and of the 24 states I have explored thus far, Arkansas has been my favorite all thanks to the experience I had during my too-short stay at The Empress. Thank you so much, Bob, Sharon, and Lisa.
