Arkansas House Bed and Breakfast

Located right on the banks of the Little Buffalo River in the picture-postcard village of Jasper, the Arkansas House is the only upscale B & B in the area.

We have three luxury suites, two hotel rooms, and the Riverhouse, a full-sized 2 bedroom home which sleeps up to 8.

We serve gourmet, organic food to our guests in the Boardwalk Cafe' and offer pampering services on site at our full service hair salon with manicures,pedicures and massage. The block-long complex also boasts a healthy food store, catering services in the Great Room of the Arkansas House, and a fine art gallery. We have it all to make your stay in the Buffalo River wilderness a very civilized affair.

    Scenic Highway 7, easily the most beautiful road in the state, passes right in front of the block-long Arkansas House complex on the north side of Jasper. Since the entire town is only 6 blocks long, it's nearly impossible to miss. The actual street address is 215 E. Court Street.

    We are the second property on the right after crossing the Little Buffalo River bridge coming from the north. From the south, we are the second-to-last property in downtown Jasper before crossing the bridge.

    Take I540 south to Ark 16/74 to Huntsville, stay on 74 to Kingston, take 21/74 to Ponca, then 74 to stop sign at Buffalo River Bridge in Jasper, then take right to cross bridge, hotel is first property after Junction store on the right after crossing bridge.

    Our riverhouse is a full-sized, 2-BR home on the complex which features a large, private deck overlooking the Little Buffalo River. It is the perfect bunkhouse cabin for families or groups who want to enjoy the wilderness but want spacious surroundings after a day on the river or in the woods.

    We have the only wild Elk herd in the South and people come here from all over the South to see them. Here, at our cafe', you can eat them. We serve free-range elk burgers on fresh-baked 7-grain organic buns with all the fixins', the best elk chili east of the Rockies, and chicken, okra, and
    elk gumbo.

    Our free-range American Buffalo steaks are New York strips that weigh 8 oz. or so and are grilled to succulent perfection by our trained wildlife chefs. With the steak the customer also gets soup, salad, and side, for $17.95, a great way to enjoy Buffalo River country.

  • Check in time is 2pm and Check out time is 11am
  • Cancellations:
    Notification must be provided 48 hours prior to check in for a full refund. After that, the room is yours and the full charge is made on your credit card.

    The Morgans also own Morganic Farm which provides the beef, pork, chicken, fruit and vegetables for the restaurant. Mr. Morgan is an experienced fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman and has roamed the mountains of Newton County for three decades and can provide info on the area.
