1880s Cliff Cottage (blue) and The Place Next Door with Artist's Cottage, Zelda's Studio and Oscar Wilde's Cottage not visible to the left. Only B&B in very heart of Eureka Springs' Historic Downtown, just 17 steps down to trolley and Main St. shops and galleries. Park in our offstreet parking and never drive the whole time you're here!
Colette's Mini-Suite has a relaxing sitting area with couch in front of 2 big windows overlooking all of town. The suite has a definite French influence -- the innkeeper went to Paris to get memorabilia about Colette for the suite. Not pictured is the huge jacuzzi in corner of bedroom.
Sarah Bernhardt's Suite in the historic Cliff Cottage, the Inn's largest suite, features a Victorian-theme bedroom with custom-made Victorian king bed. Photo shows the bedroom looking through to the suite's livingroom which features a triple bay window overlooking all of downtown. The bathroom has a huge double jacuzzi and shower. The suite has a private front porch overlooking town and a private deck in back with fountain...perfect spot for a romantic outdoor breakfast.
Oscar Wilde's Cottage has an outdoor hottub surrounded by woods and very private, overlooking all of the twinkling lights of downtown. There's even a family of 8 deer that come up sometimes and peep through the latticework! You feel like you're way out in the wilds, yet you're right downtown, just 20 steps to Main Street!
Sarah Bernhardt's large livingroom is the perfect place to watch the world go by down below. You're perched on a hillside so you have a bird's eye view of all of Eureka yet you're far enough away from the hustle and bustle to feel like you are way out in the woods. Guests love to sit at the table in the window and watch all of Eureka wake up in the morning and go to bed at night.
Tennyson's Suite in the historic Cliff Cottage features a livingroom with fireplace that opens onto your own private front porch where you can have your elf-delivered breakfast watching the world go by below. Or enjoy a fireside breakfast for two! The suite's livingroom is the perfect relaxing place to enjoy a good book -- there's even copies of Tennyson's poems on the coffeetable!
Tennyson's Suite in Cliff Cottage has a large 2-person jacuzzi in the corner of the antique-filled bedroom and a custom king Victorian sleighbed. The bedroom door opens onto a private deck with fountain where you can have a romantic breakfast on the deck tucked into the 3-story high rock bluff, with the chipmunks tiptoeing back and forth beside you.
Thoreau's Suite in The Place Next Door has a livingroom with fireplace and is charmingly furnished with antiques and art the innkeeper brought back from her many adventures abroad. Lounge on the couch and watch some of the classic movies the Inn shares with guests. Or curl up and read a copy of "Walden Pond". You can step out your livingroom onto a private balcony and sit quietly listening to the fountain below and the windchimes caressed by the breezes coming down the age-old rock bluff.
Thoreau's livingroom features a garden window and opens onto its private balcony where guests often enjoy their breakfast. Wild grapes grow on the rock bluff beside the balcony and in summer, guests enjoy sharing these with each other. The suite features original stained glass the innkeeper designed and had made by a local artist. The inn has a large video library and you can sit back and enjoy a good movie when you've "done" all of Eureka!
Cliff Cottage Inn's elf (a/k/a Sandra the Innkeeper) disguised as the Easter bunny delivering breakfasts Easter morning to all her guests.
Emily Dickinson's Suite in The Artist's Cottage features a delightful solarium with windows all across the back and side looking out towards the three-story rock bluff and cave...a wonderful place to relax and read some of her poems!
The Place Next Door to the right of Cliff Cottage was designed and built by the innkeeper specifically as a B&B and features two spacious jacuzzi suites upstairs (Colette and Thoreau)and the elegant Great Room where elopement weddings are held. The office is also located in this house tucked up into the 3-story rock bluff.
Cliff Cottage Inn is the only B&B with an elf who delivers a full-gourmet breakfast on a silver tray to the suites. Guests can enjoy romantic breakfasts right in their own suite in their jammies! Southern Living has said "These breakfasts are not to be missed!". The innkeeper learned to cook in France on an 18th-century woodburning stove and her breakfasts are now famous!
Eureka Springs Garden Club gave Cliff Cottage Inn the "Garden of the Year" award when the innkeeper planted over 1,000 tulips in the front garden. Unfortunately, the 9 deer living in the woods above the inn found out above the tulips...end of story!
Cliff Cottage B&B Inn offers elegant affordable Elopement Weddings and the inn's Great Room is especially lovely at Christmastime.
Christmas in Eureka Springs is very special and Cliff Cottage Inn's Victorian Great Room is a warm and welcoming place to enjoy a cup of eggnog or hot chocolate in front of the pink marble fireplace. The innkeeper, who designed and built the inn, brought the marble back in her van from the Baja where she hand-picked each piece at the Mexican quarry! "I had to drive 25 miles an hour for days and days and check the tire pressure every hour! What a trip!" she says.
Innkeeper Sandra with her new hubby Carl (who loves to do the inn gardening and greet guests!) looking a bit jetlagged after their recent trip to Prague. "We were stuck in Paris for hours and it took 16 hours of travel to get to Prague but it was worth it. Wonderful Mucha art, fabulous classical music concerts nightly, exquisite medieval buildings and lots of dumplings," says Sandra.
Cliff Cottage Inn's mascot, Smokey, is lovingly referred to by the innkeepers as a "Chihusky, our miniature sled dog." He isn't fond of having competitors around so the inn sadly can't accept pets. Smokey travelled with Innkeepers Sandra and Carl 18,000 miles with them in their RV on their 10-month recent honeymoon. Everyone in the Yukon and Alaska loved him, especially the people up above the Arctic Circle.

Cliff Cottage Inn offers five elegantly restored historic houses, some with two very private and spacious jacuzzi suites, some individual stand-alone cottages with hottubs, all perched on a hillside just 17 steps from Main St.shops and restaurants. Named one of top 6 "Most Romantic Inns of the South" by Romantic Destinations Magazine (published by Southern Bride) and recipient two years in a row of Trip Advisor's prestigious "2011&2012 Certificate of Excellence" Award and BNBFinder's "Guests' Favorite Inn" Award. And guests absolutely LOVE our breakfasts, created from original recipes Innkeeper Sandra developed while living in France. We're into a healthy lifestyle. Two suites and two cottages are strictly non-smoking properties -- no smoking anywhere on the property without exception! Other suites accommodate smoking outdoors on private decks, balconies, porches. Cigars are not permitted anywhere on the properties as the odor stays in the "holler" and causes discomfort for other guests. All 6 suites have: Jacuzzis For 2 (Tennyson also has an open-air outdoor shower for 2 available from late April to late October!), complimentary Champagne or white wine chilled and waiting in your fridge; in-suite beverage bars with imported teas, coffee, hot choc. and spa amenities. Some fireplaces. Private balconies, front porches, decks. Inn's elf delivers an award-winning full-gourmet breakfast right to your suite. Both stand-alone cottages have fabulous views, fully-equipped kitchens (breakfast is not included), private hottubs on decks tucked into woods, faux fireplaces. Check out our website, .cliffcottage and click on the availability link for rates and availability. Or call for unadvertised specials, 479-253-7409. The elves would love to have you stay with us!

5 out of 5Just what Eureka Springs is all about
July 19, 2012
On a whim my husband and I went to Eureka Springs, Ark. for the weekend. It was just the two of us so a bed and breakfast seemed the way to go. Fortunately, we found a vacancy at Cliff Cottage Inns. We stayed in Thoreau's Suite at the place next door. The suite was beautiful and comfortable, we were pleased immediately. The owner and her 'elf' were both so generous and accommodating we felt welcomed right off. Their experience in running a B&B was obvious as they saw to every detail with the utmost confidence and professionalism. We enjoyed a lovely night, then a beautifully prepared breakfast at precisely 9:15 am just as they said. Kind of cute.

5 out of 5Wonderful Way to Celebrate 38th Anniversary!
May 16, 2012
Dear Sandra, We are so glad that we chose Cliff Cottage Inn to spend a couple of days for a wonderful getaway. As you know, our friends, Tom & Rita, and my wife (Anna May) and I were each celebrating 38th wedding anniversaries. It seems like yesterday - Tom's wife, Rita, was a bridesmaid in our wedding; and I was a groomsman in their wedding in 1974. Reserving the Sarah Bernhardt and Alfred Lord Tennyson Suites was a perfect choice. We had Elf Katie unlock the door that adjoins the two suites so we could enjoy one another's company during the two-day stay. The attention to detail in preparing for our arrival was grand - the anniversary cakes; the chilled wine; the candy dish (now you know my weakness); even a special anniversary card from you and your elves to each couple. The only thing missing were you and your husband (as I understand you were traveling the country in your RV) - but Elf Katie provided us with much TLC. After unpacking, we sat out back on the patio enjoying a glass of vino - or two. How "cool" - literally with the stone cliff, cave and all that created a wonderful, quiet sanctuary for enjoying some peaceful conversation and meditation. Your location was also a plus as we walked the downtown area, enjoying the various shops during the first weekend of the May Festival of the Arts - thus being able to leave our car at the Cottage. The two breakfasts provided were so Eur-freakin' scrumptious; and a great idea to provide a sweet breakfast one morning followed by a more savory breakfast the next. Hopefully, we will return sometime to enjoy your Cottage again. Next time, perhaps, we will have the pleasure to chat with you and your husband as we have read so much about your life's adventures and experiences. We did get one of your cookbooks; and in one of the art galleries, we purchased a color-print of the Cottage. We loved it, Larry and Anna May

5 out of 5Our 6th Anniversary Stay
March 09, 2012
Our very first trip to Eureka Springs and I am SO glad we chose Cliff Cottage Inn. It was PERFECT for mine and my husbands 6th Anniversary. From the moment we arrived and walked down to Local Flavor (FABULOUS Filet Mignon) to sitting on our porch that night overlooking the sleepy little Main St. The Inn Keeper gave us valuable local information on restaurants and things to see. Our little "Elf" who delivered breakfast was a ray of sunshine for sure! And did I mention the breakfast??? YUM!! The cottage itself was very well appointed. NEVER felt cramped like you can in some B&B's. Also, everything inside was in excellent shape and nothing felt old...just quaint. 100% satisfied and WILL be back. We want to stay in EVERY suite.
5 out of 5An unexpected pleasant surprise.
October 25, 2011
I was in Eureka alone and had no plans to stay in a B&B since I always associated them with couples. I was so wrong. From the minute I walked through the doors of the cottage I was greeted like a special guest and found a beautiful inn that was owned and run by two of the most well travelled, enjoyable people! My room was inviting, wonderfully furnished with all the comforts of home. I will return to this Inn many times.
Innkeeper Response
It is always such a pleasure to have friendly and thoughtful guests stay at our inn -- makes all the work and efforts we put into preparing our rooms and breakfasts worthwhile!5 out of 5Absolutely delightful!
July 16, 2011
The absolutely best part of our recent trip to Eureka Springs was our stay at The Cliff Cottages in Collette’s Mini-suite! The proprietress provided detailed advance information so that we had no difficulty arriving at our destination! (Which is a challenge in this hilly and venerable Victorian village!) The attention she and her “elf” gave to our accommodations made us feel quite comfortably “at home” - with a luxurious French twist! Little touches like, being welcomed by the sound of twittering birds, wine in the ‘fridge, romantic double Jacuzzi in the corner, books by and about Collette, wide selection of videos to choose from (and the one we selected “just happened” to go with the room perfectly)! Conversations with our host and hostess upon our arrival and departure were enthralling¿! Plus they are both as warmly interested in listening to their guests stories as they are in sharing their own! And then there were the breakfasts¿¿ Oh, my¿! Words cannot do justice! We had ours, served by the elf, outside on our own private tiny deck, sheltered from the sun and fanned by a cooling draft under the cliff wall backing The Place Next Door! I do recommend purchasing A Cook’s Book of Epicuria as a memento of your stay! Sandra’s adventures will amaze you, and her recipes are delightful!
5 out of 5Awesome, Quaint, Relaxing, Romantic
May 31, 2011
Awesome B&B! Right from the start before we even got there, Sandra (the proprietor) showed caring detail in how to get there, where to go etc. Once we got there, we were very happy with the close walking proximity to the town and all it offers. Sandra was very welcoming and very sweet. We stayed in the Alfred Lord Tennyson suite and love it! Very clean, cozy and comfortable. We loved the front and back porch lounging areas and the views it offered, the Jacuzzi and the fun outdoor shower along the bluffs. Great place, amazing character and AMAZING gourmet breakfast delivered to the front door every morning (which we also bought her book and read it on the way home. Has some of the great recipes she cooks in there in addition to great stories about her very interesting life). Highly recommended! Thanks Sandra!!!!! We will be back soon!
Innkeeper Response
We're thrilled that our guests had such a good time and it was totally a pleasure preparing and delivering our famous breakfasts to their suite each morning! Makes such a big difference to us as innkeepers when the guests enjoy our breakfasts! Makes all the effort and love we put into preparing these labor-intensive breakfasts worthwhile!
