Cactus Cove

  • Inn Details

Cactus Cove occupies over three acres in a secluded Sonoran desert setting, however we are close to many of Tucson's tourist attractions. Restaurant row is 10 minutes away. Because we are situated on a knoll, there are panoramic views of the Catalina Mountains to the north, the Rincons to the east and the Santa Ritas to the south. Cactus Cove is located in a sparsely populated area of Tucson, the "quiet" is the most noticeable quality of the location. There are no traffic or other city noises. The sounds are the sounds of desert animals and birds - coyotes, doves, quail, etc. Massages available.

From the moment we arrived at Cactus Cove we were impressed. The B&B is located in a quiet semi rural area in Tucson surrounded by unobstructed mountain views. The location, wildlife, architecture, and furnishings will give you an authentic flavor of the southwest at it's best! The light at different times of the day makes this setting a koleidescope of breathtaking colors. It is a wonderful area to jog, or walk in at any time of the day. Sally the owner/inn keeper met us upon arrival, offerred us something to drink, and a tour of the property. She made us feel at home immediatley. Our room was lovely, imaculate, and spacious. We stayed in the Ocotillo Catus Suite and enjoyed the private patio and out door shower! Breakfast in the morning was always a delicious home cooked creation, and Sally made sure that there was a home baked treat waiting in our room for us when we returned from our travels every evening. We absolutely loved sitting in front of the outdoor fireplace after dark next to the pool under the stars and being sarenaded by the coyotes. This B&B is truly a wonderful relaxing oasis and we highly recommend it!

    I loved this B&B

We stayed here just because it was closer to the Tucson airport than B&Bs in other cities but if I had known how awesome this place was, we would have spent our entire weekend here. Its very secluded from the hustle and bustle of Tucson and the views of the mountains are phenomenal. When we arrived, the innkeeper greeted us with lemonade and then informed us she'd made some chocolate cake and asked if we'd like it now or after dinner! What a treat! We sat around and chatted and then she showed us around the grounds. The pool is very nice and I wish we'd had more time to swim! The outdoor showers were awesome! Its just amazing that the place has such a rural feel while still being within Tucson. The whole inn is just very quaint and somewhere that I'd love to go back to. This is hands down one of the best bed and breakfasts I've been to and I can't wait for an excuse to go back. Breakfast (huevos rancheros) was yummy too!!!

Cactus Cove B&B is truly an oasis in the desert. Surrounded by spectacular vistas, this secluded spot provides an outstanding B&B experience in every way. The hospitality is warm and gracious, amenities abound, the rooms are tastefully appointed, breakfast is sumptuous, and the patio area (complete with a fireplace) is a perfect place to rejuvenate. For a special treat, schedule a massage--next to the pool at sunset or early evening under the stars--with Annette. I recommend this B&B highly and hope to revisit it again some day.

The rooms and amenities where just as stated on the website (but the pictures don't do them justice). We went for our anniversary at the hottest time of the year (late July), and truely enjoyed the outdoor shower every day (alot of appreciation coming from Wisconsin!). We had all of the privacy we could have asked for, with both courtyards (private by our room, and common by the pool) to ourselves. The breakfast's where very good, filling, and served outside the whole week. We had two massages scheduled, and both where just great (first time for both of us), in our room like requested. Being in AZ for the first time was just the mix of relaxation and adventure we were looking for.
