The Penrose B&B
THE PENROSE is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, honeymoon, or anniversary. It makes a great base for leisure travel, too. Take a day trip to the Grand Canyon or Indian country. Or just relax on the balcony, deck, or courtyard; soak up the red rock views; read a novel from our paperback collection; do a little birding; and watch for appearances from our abundant wildlife. Absorb the serenity and natural beauty of the high desert.
Our guests enjoy hiking, mountain biking, or seeing the backcountry from a jeep, balloon, plane, or train. Art enthusiasts like gallery hopping and the arts and crafts village known as Tlaquepaque. A special experience is shopping for jewelry or pots from the local Hopi and Navajo. And, of course, there is always the nearby outlet mall.
After a busy day but before heading out to dinner our guests often enjoy the way the setting sun seems to light up the red rocks. Sedona is known for its fine dining, with many cuisines from which to choose. Tired but happy guests often finish the day relaxing in the double Jacuzzi or double shower before watching a movie from our DVD library, complimented by refreshments made fresh in our kitchen. But whatever you would like to do, our helpful staff are here to make your Sedona vacation everything you want it to be.
The Penrose features five guest rooms: one on the first floor, four on the second. Each room's private bath has either a two-person shower or a double Jacuzzi with separate shower. The downstairs guest bedroom has its own porch, those upstairs individual balconies. All these rooms have large east facing windows with sweeping views of the area's many red rock formations.
