Casa de San Pedro Bed & Breakfast Inn
-
Casa de San Pedro is located on the banks of the San Pedro River - surrounded by trees and grasslands (forget that desert idea!), the territorial hacienda is modeled after the old inns of Spain and Mexico - yet it is a modern building with all of the comforts of home.
A gourmet breakfast is served each morning in the dining room - featuring mexican tiled floors, dramatic art work, birds dancing just outside the windows at feeders - and the breakfasts are always hearty and healthy!
The inviting territorial inn features custom furnishings in each room - handcrafted furniture from Mexico, custom linens, and tile baths - the perfect hidaway for relaxing and savoring the wonders of nature in comfort.
Butterfly in the gardens at Casa de San Pedro B&B - a nature lovers paradise!
The inn resides on 10 acres adjacent to the San Pedro River, away from the crowd (well, the birds and other natural inhabitants are quite a crowd to behold!). The perfect place to relax, view 100s of birds, hike. Don't forget to bring your binoculars and camera! (and leave your stress behind!)
All our guest rooms front onto the interior garden and fountain. Sit at the table outside your room and enjoy the flowers, fountain sounds, and the many birds that frolic in the courtyard.

Casa de San Pedro is an ideal southeastern Arizona retreat for naturalists and anyone who wishes to combine nature with comfortable surroundings. The territorial style hascienda inn is built around a courtyard and fountain. You enter our guest rooms, each with private bath, from the covered patio where you can relax and enjoy the birds which visit the fountain and feeding stations. In the summer, the hummingbirds are especially popular. Our elevation is 4200 feet with an average summer temperature of 88 degrees. Above all it is quiet.

This is probably the best Arizona Birding B&B we have stayed in. The room was excellent, the breakfasts were the type you dream about, and the ability to Bird on the premises was an added luxury.

We stayed at this b&b from April 28 through April 30th. This is our 2nd stay at this establishment. First, there is more to a b&b than just a clean room and "ok" food. Karl and Patrick, the owners, are wonderful. They welcomed us with a smile and it seemed like we had just met up with long time friends. Their food isn't just 2 eggs, toast and juice. We love their food. Karl and Patrick make wonderful breakfast dishes such as Swedish Pancakes with fruit. Everything is freshly made including some wonderful homemade pies, muffins and other pastries. The rooms are spacious, clean and make you feel like you're visiting a friend's home not a b&b. We love to bird so this place is a natural for us. Large windows surround the common areas and are kept clean so you can take photos through the windows of your favorite birds at the feeders they have all around the property. Karl and Patrick are really willing to work with you. They will make you early morning breakfast so you can join birding walks at 0630 or long day trips to the surrounding areas for birding or whatever activity you desire. This B&B is designed for birders but don't let this stop you if you just want to relax. Anyone can stay at this relaxing and wonderful place because relaxing can be just using their hammock, sitting on the chairs just outside your room or walking the grounds. We plan on returning to this wonderful place. It's worth every penny you spend on the stay.

Casa de San Pedro is a true find and a great value located on the San Pedro River in Southeastern Arizona. While our focus was birdwatching, the guest rooms, dining area, and common area with an extensive library were of highest quality, spotless, and relaxing. The environment was quiet and the grounds provided great opportunity for short walks and general relaxation. Karl and Patrick served incredible breakfasts every day and there is a refrigerator and other facilities for guest use as well as freshly baked pies, cookies, coffee, and tea. We had a great bird guide for our birdwalk who was also well versed in the history and ecology of the area. She presented a program one evening which included actual banding of hummingbirds and this was a great expreience. Casa de San Pedro is conveniently located to many areas great for hiking as well as birding just a short drive away. There are a number of good restaurants in Hereford which is about 7 miles distant as well as in Sierra Vista and Bisbee, both of which are a bit further. We would recommend Casa de San Pedro Bed and Breakfast without reservation whether your interest is birding, hiking, or just relaxing. Doug and Cheri Johnstone, Martinsville, IN

The Casa de San Pedro B&B, and it's attentive owners, make for a great experience. We were there only for a 2-night getaway, but by the end wished we'd had a few more days. The location, rooms and breakfast fare are all superb. The setting next to the Rio San Pedro is great whether for on-site bird-watching, walks along the trail that begins from their back door, or day-hikes to nearby canyons.

The location of the Casa de San Pedro with the ever changing seasonal landscape of the San Pedro River makes for the perfect get-away from our busy lives. If you need a place to get away from the daily routine or you just enjoy visiting another place where the wildlife is abundant, the hiking is an exploration, or serenity is needed, then I highly recommend the Casa de San Pedro Bed and Breakfast. With great hosts and a fantastic breakfast we are looking forward to our third visit in the near future.
