Casa de San Pedro Bed & Breakfast Inn

  • Casa de San Pedro is located on the banks of the San Pedro River - surrounded by trees and grasslands (forget that desert idea!), the territorial hacienda is modeled after the old inns of Spain and Mexico - yet it is a modern building with all of the comforts of home.

Casa de San Pedro is an ideal southeastern Arizona retreat for naturalists and anyone who wishes to combine nature with comfortable surroundings. The territorial style hascienda inn is built around a courtyard and fountain. You enter our guest rooms, each with private bath, from the covered patio where you can relax and enjoy the birds which visit the fountain and feeding stations. In the summer, the hummingbirds are especially popular. Our elevation is 4200 feet with an average summer temperature of 88 degrees. Above all it is quiet.

The Casa is an oasis of relaxation, excellent food, vibrant bird watching, and thoughtful hospitality from hosts, Patrick and Karl, and their sweetheart dogs, Shadow and Cody. There is plenty to do in the area, or you can do "nothing" amidst beauty and peace and quiet. I like the freedom of being a free-range guest, with 24-hour access to the spacious common rooms, or to the outside acreage for rambling along the San Carlos River, or walking the labyrinth. An added bonus is that the guests at the Casa are like most birders I’ve known – happy, knowledgeable, adventurous people – a delight to spend time with. Bette-B, Omaha, NE

Patrick and Karl have created a perfect experience for their guests. They've thought of all the little things that make a place special. It's a really beautiful inn, food is great, and Patrick and Karl are lovely, helpful people. Everything we needed was available, yet there was compete privacy, which is not always true at B&Bs. This will be the first place we contact when planning our next trip to AZ.

When we booked this mini-vacation we thought if would be a nice getaway for 3 days. We had no idea of the thought that Karl and Patrick had put into this place. We needed refrigeration for medicine - no problem, we wanted to grill our dinner - no problem. The rooms are great, the ambience is laid back but very service-oriented. And to have 4 different, great tasting pies available 24x7 - words fail. Thanks!

After two wonderful stays here, we made it our primary destination for several days that included their fabulous Christmas dinner. The Casa has everything that we want in a vacation, great outdoors and birding, and the hosts are wonderful. We will come again even though it's 700 miles from home.

Great location next to the San Pedro River. Wonderful hosts. Beautiful building and outdoor spaces. Facility is starting to show it's age and therefore was a little pricey. Cleanliness was not an issue it just doesn't have what it takes to rate the price.
