Our house is a solid, 6-bedroom, brick-and-timber building surrounded by an ample garden and bordered by pine trees. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and offer bright views. Superior accomodations are somewhat limited in Esquel. What a pleasant surprise to find the Canela B&B. It provides a quiet location very near town. Jorge and Veronica speak english well and were very helpful with our local itinerary. When we arrived our reservations for La Trochita and Los Alerces Park were already made. The rooms are very clean and the Breakfast is superior by Argentine standards. The family history in Patagonia is fascinating.

We stayed one night at Hosteria Canela in Esquel and we loved it very much. It is a very nice house and the owners Jorge and Veronica are very kind. They love to tell you about their country and the history of Patagonia. The house is beautiful and located in nice surroundings just outside the centre of Esquel. They have a large garden which is good for kids to play in together with their dog. The rooms are big and clean and the breakfast is good.

Coming from the north or south on RN 40, once you get to Esquel drive across the city through Av Ameghino and Hipolito Yrigoyen St and then continue on No 259 route to Trevelin (see Google map). About half a mile away you reach Villa Ayelen. Make a right turn and take Los Notros St for two and a half blocks. You will see Hosteria Canela's oval sign on the left sidewalk.
