The Roseland Inn

  • Inn Details

Tucked away in a picturesque country town, this Colonial Revival home is just a stone's throw from one of the world's largest natural springs. Innkeeper Jean Pace, a former Mammoth Spring mayor, has decorated her National Register inn with antiques, collectibles and bright flower arrangements. With its reception hall, large front porch and gazebo, the home has served as a site for parties and weddings. Spring River and Mammoth Spring State Park are nearby, and Jean will refrigerate your daily catch.

When we drove up to Roseland Inn Bed and Breakfast, it felt just like coming home. Once we were inside, that feeling was reinforced by the house lay out, furnishings, decorative accessories, and the inn keeper's gregarious welcome. After supper, we enjoyed a quiet evening at "home" and the next morning the "country" breakfast was dainty, yet filling. I would highly recommend this establishment to any who enjoys homey Victorian surroundings in a quiet setting.

We recently stayed at Roseland while visiting family in Mammoth Spring. If you are traveling with children, please note that the Inn is not kid-friendly by any means. It is cluttered with breakables and dried flowers. When making the reservation, the innkeeper stated that it would be fine for children to stay. However, after having stayed, I would suggest you find other lodging that would be more suitable for children.

Tell the innkeeper that sent you.
