I wanted to surprise my wife with a special getaway. A friend recommend this place. I got on line and was able to get a room for our anniversary. We had a stupendous time. And the room was a great part of it. We did not want to go home but we must. We have decided to go back to our place each and every year. It's a big thumbs up.

My husband and I spent the night here to celebrate out 2nd year anniversary. We had a fantastic experience. Chris and Lisa were exceptional, our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Chris made a delicious breakfast and Lisa's cookies were a welcome addition after a night of exploring Eureak. We are greatful for their wonderful hospitality and helping to make out anniversary a memorable one. Thank you! Mr and Mrs Mason, Mo,

My husband and I stayed here for a three day get away. The room was as described with the exception of a stand up shower. Taking a shower in a bathtub with an hand held shower was a little uncomfortable, but the jacuzzi bath tub was great for soaking! The absolute BEST thing about this B&B was the food. It is really amazing! We really only interacted with Chris and he was very nice. I had asked for decaf coffee in advance as I can not have caffeine and only one of the three mornings was there decaf available. That was a little disappointing, but overall I think it was a nice place to stay. If you like animals, you will LOVE the cat Ping, she is a hoot!
We are so glad this couple enjoyed their time, and food, at MOUNT VICTORIA with our reduced rate package, Rewards! They made their reservation online & their confirmation letter clearly stated The Saunders Suite offers a King a Jacuzzi tub with a handheld shower. There are also photos and descriptives for each suite on the web site. We bought decaf coffee especially for these guests and as it was not touched the 1st morning, we did not make it again. We would have been happy to make it especially for them again if they had asked. Unfortunately, Lisa was having severe pollen allergy issues and mostly was behind the scenes during their stay. We wish this couple the best during future travels! Chris . Innkeeper / Owner

Very fun and relaxing stay. Chris and Lisa were both very warm and welcoming, not to mention Ping and Elizabeth Taylor. Overall a great experience.

Lisa and Chris are wonderful caretakers and hosts of their beautiful Victorian home in Eureka Springs. We have stayed there several times and they are always friendly and the food that Chris prepares for breakfast is amazing. We've been to Eureka Springs 17 times over the years and Mount Victoria is top of the list in quality.

Really nice place and comparable in price (as around the US). Day one breakfast: awesome, day two ok. Check your room carefully if it has a shower; Chris the owner said it was difficult in some rooms to add a shower (in a renovation). Room was old but furnishings were nice. Overall, we would recommend as its close to everything and the owners were super nice. I did feel that they were hanging around every time we left or came; I am sure part of it was that they just wanted to answer any questions we had.. wished they just had some kind of bell if you needed help (in the lobby).
We thank these guests for taking the time to leave a review complimenting our food and hospitality as well as saying they would recommend MOUNT VICTORIA! To be fair, we'd like to share that these guests admitted they did not read the web site or confirmation letter which both clearly state the suite they chose only offered a decadent oversized King Jacuzzi tub. We'd also like to share that we cleaned another room early so they could shower and then cleaned that room again for guests who were arriving / checking into the room later that day. We offered, they did not ask; the wife declined and used the oversized King Jacuzzi tub. The inn was built in 1902 which makes it not only "old" but historic. The inn is our Home and you will find us enjoying our Home whether it might be on the verandas, gardening, in the common area .... Or any other area. This is not a hotel with a front desk. Guests may see as much or as little of us as they wish as there is a secondary outdoor entrance. We do not "hang around" to intrude on guests' privacy but we are available to answer questions and help with anything guests may need. We are not "vacant" innkeepers. Upon arrival we explain to guests if they need anything to simply call us - there is a personalized "Welcome!" Sheet on guests' beds with the phone number. We do not offer a BELL. We wish these guests the best in future travels and encourage them to take the time and read what web sites describing what they are reserving, and confirmation letters, as they are both helpful tools!

My daughter and I had a very lovely one night stay. It exceeded my expectations and we hope to visit again for a longer stay. Our host were gracious and also left us to ourselves for privacy. The breakfast was absolutely the best I have had in many travels and places !!

I recently had the pleasure of spending two nights at Mount Victoria. The house and decor is charming and cozy and felt like home. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the door by Chris and Lisa had prepared a delicious lemon bundt cake which was available to guests on the second floor along with any beverage you could want! The room was quiet and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was served on the veranda each morning and certainly didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and the presentation was amazing. The location is fantastic as you can walk or take the trolley which stops across from the inn. Chris was very helpful in suggesting places to eat and sites to visit. I would highly recommend the Mount Victoria to anyone!

My husband and I have enjoyed several weekends at Mount Victoria Bed & Breakfast and are looking forward to yet another visit in December! I knew, from past experiences, my sister and I would have a wonderful time staying at this inn to enjoy nature's beauty during the peak season of the Fall foliage in the Ozarks! Chris and Lisa did not disappoint us! As soon as we pulled into our personal parking space, Chris was at the door to greet us personally and he showed us to our suite, all the while explaining the different "perks" offered at the inn. Lisa bakes the most delicious delicacies each and every day and guests are free to indulge as they relax away the afternoon either in their private suites or on the second story verandas. Lisa can be found most afternoons on the front porch and always has fun stories to share! Both Chris and Lisa are very friendly and outgoing, yet are very respectful to allow their guests the freedom to quietly come and go as they please. I've never stayed at Mount Victoria and not received great advice as to where we should spend our time shopping, relaxing in local spas, and experiencing fine foods at the local restaurants! Guests preferring to "dine in" for dinner have the opportunity to make plans when they book their reservations for one of the fabulous dinners Lisa and Chris prepare. My husband, along with three other couples, have had the pleasure of doing this and we were beyond satisfied! Every morning at 9 am, Chris delivers a scrumptious breakfast to your suite where you can dine inside or on your private veranda if you are on the second floor of the inn. Never once have we been disappointed with the food! It is always such a treat to see what both Lisa and Chris prepare for breakfast and it's always presented in such a beautiful fashion! As long as we continue to visit Eureka Springs, Mount Victoria will be our place to stay! It is a beautiful inn with wonderful inn keepers!

They have large tubs in the 2 3rd floor rooms, but there is not sufficient hot water to fill them more than 5 inches... There was someone else's hair in the tub, yuck!!! and there is no shower in the room for an alternate way to get clean. The breakfast was supposed to be the best part of the experience, a hard fried egg in in a roll is not to die for. It was really disappointing.
We are certainly sorry this couple did not enjoy their stay in our Home, Mount Victoria. To be fair, we'd like to address their review. In nine years, we have not had a complaint about not enough hot water / only 5 inches of hot water. If this had been brought to our attention while they were here, we would have immediately addressed the situation. We carefully clean the rooms ourselves and are very sorry a hair was missed - if this had been brought to our attention while they were here we would have immediately re-cleaned their tub for them. Each suite's amenities are detailed on the web site, in confirmation letters, and on the phone when making a reservation. In addition, there are a plethora of room pictures as well as each room's Jacuzzi, tub and / or shower. If this guest had desired a room with a shower, and one was available, we would have placed them in one. The detailed suite information is there for all perspective guests to read. Our breakfast has placed us in "Southern Living" and we are sorry they did not enjoy their breakfast as the other 6 guests did. The breakfast this reviewer had was this: 2 organic eggs layered with cheddar cheese and scallions soft baked in hollowed out homemade bread bowls topped with more cheese & sauteed asparagus spears. This was served with fresh rosemary sweet maple roasted potatoes, fresh fruit & Snickerdoodle dessert souffles topped with real cream & caramel. When breakfast is delivered to the rooms each morning we also deliver a detailed Menu Card which provides a descriptive of what we prepared for them. To say they were served a "fried egg in a roll" is just as wrong as it is uneccessarily beyond rude. If this couple had brought their dislike of this popular breakfast to our attention, we would have happily made something else just for them. We try to please everyone's palettes but, unfortunately, it is not possible even though we ask about and accommodate dietary restrictions and dislikes. Last, but not least, our rates are comparable with other better B&B's in Eureka Springs during high season. We wish this couple the best in their future travels!

Chris & Lisa McCants
Chris' love of cooking has created five-course gourmet breakfasts resulting in rave reviews from the guests as well as recipe requests. He also enjoys fishing, kayaking, gardening, listening to "Sports Rap" and, of course, spending time with Lisa. Lisa loves to decorate, cook, watch movies (some of her favorites are "Wonder Boys" & "Barefoot In The Park"), collect the "treasures" she finds at antique shops and try to complete the set of "Nancy Drew" books she had as a child.

Smoked Turkey Breakfast Pastry
Chris smokes a turkey to perfection on his Big Green Egg ceramic grill. A decadent, flaky pastry sheet is then filled with a parmesan scallion stuffed omelette, smoked turkey, and sharp cheddar cheese. The pastry is drizzled with a sweet Vidalia onion sauce and served with the Inn's fresh rosemary potatoes and the freshest of seasonal fruit. Mount Victoria's signature Smoked Turkey Breakfast Pastry was featured in the December, 2008 issue of "Southern Living." Mount Victoria was not only the writer's choice for Where To Stay in Eureka Springs but also Where to Eat in Eureka Springs!
