Poised at the crest of Anguilla's highest point and 3 minutes walk to Crocus Bay, Lloyd's celebrated 40 years as Anguilla's oldest and longest running accommodation establishment. The family-run property first opened its doors in July of 1959 as a 10 room guest house centrally located in the historical part of the Valley. As the only place in town that offered rooms and meals to visitors, Lloyd's hosted many dignitaries and VIPs during the early years. And even after other hotels and restaurants opened on island in later years, Lloyd's was the caterer of choice to provide sandwiches for the reception held in honour of Prince Charles' visit in 1973. Lloyd's has remained true to its roots over the past 40 years. The orginal architecture is intact and is a reflection of tradition and simplicity. A spacious living room/lounge segues into a dining room where people from all walks of life and cultures meld, a feat made easy by old fashioned, family-style dining. Mr. Lloyd's wife, Vida, took over as the manager of the property when David passed away in 1989. Along with their children David and Christine, Mrs. Lloyd maintained the authenticity established at the inn which continues to charm guests. Please visit our orginal website at lloyds.ai.
