From Anchorage, go north 33 miles to the junction of the Glenn (#1) and the Parks (#3) Highway. Turn onto the Parks Highway and take the first exit, Trunk Rd. Turn right onto Trunk and drive 1.1 miles. As soon as you see the church steeple, put on your turn signal to turn left. Look for our sign at the mouth of a long, winding driveway that goes through the woods to the top of the ridge. - Nearest major airport: Anchorage, AK (ANC) 34 miles

Fluffy, sourdough pancakes stack high and wide on your plate, skirted by meaty, thick bacon slices. A stripe of warm Granny Smith apples, cooked in a sweet cinnamon sauce, trail over the pancakes and are accented by real, cold whip cream. Drizzle with maple syrup or try our local birch syrup! The different tastes make a delightful mouthful...

- Minimum stay required (1 night for B&B, 2-3 nights for vacation rentals)
- Smoking is allowed in limited areas (Smoking allowed in the parking lot)
- Limited accommodations for guest pets ($20/night on approval. Yummy Chummy salmon treats, too!)
- Children are welcome (Several units child-friendly; portable crib, child mattress)
- No childcare is provided
- Deposit amount required (None required. Your credit card holds your room.)
- Check in time is 4 p.m. and Check out time is 11 a.m.
- Cancellations:
You may call to cancel with no penalty up to 15 days in advance. Cancelling between 3-14 days in advance will result in a one-night charge. With less than three days' notice, you'll be charged the full amount of your stay. - Accepted by the following agencies:

Karen and her Siberian Husky, Little Girl, welcome guests to Alaska Garden Gate B&B, which puts to good use Karen's love of roses and northcountry gardening, and gourmet cooking. In her spare time she likes to cross-country ski, ski-jour with the dog, bicycle, and read about the Arctic. She has traveled widely in the U.S. and Europe, and has had Turkey, Thailand and the Seychelles on her list for a long time. - The innkeepers speak: English, French
