Here is an aerial view of our home. The guest cabin is the building in front with triangular windows. There is lots of lawn and lovely rock gardens for you to enjoy!
This is the living room of the Bear;s Den unit which opens onto a large deck where you can enjoy the propane grill, picnic table and lovely view!
This is the kitchen in the Bear's Den cabin. All the dishware is there and you even have a bread machine!
The Eagle's View unit offers a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven, electric skillet and crock pot!

Greetings Alaska bound travelers and welcome to Alaska Excursion Adventures, Inc. and Almost Home Accommodations! We are a family-owned and operated business that caters to outdoor enthusiasts and vacationers traveling to Homer, Alaska. Our cabin units are located in the city limits on 2 beautifully landscaped acres with a lovely view of the mountains and the bay! Each unit is 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bath. You will find them clean and nicely decorated. Kids under 5 are free! We also offer halibut fishing charters! Take advantage of up to 10% in discounts if you stay with us for 3 days or more and also pay by cash. If you would like to go fishing, we are happy to make reservations for you with a quality boat and captain that we would go out with ourselves!Give us a call and we'll gladly help you plan your itinerary so you have a fantastic vacation!

6 years ago I visited with my wife. We loved the accomodations. I think this time around the home started to show its age and wear a bit. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay with a very nice host.

We rented both of the "cabins" for 4 nights in July, 2012. Laurie was very friendly and helpful. We loved the location because out of the downtown area - quiet. Moose walking right off our deck each night. View of spit and bay are incredible. Very clean, very spacious. Would highly recommed.

The unit is 675 square feet. One bedroom offers a queen bed and the other has 2 twins. The living room has a full size coil spring futon. The unit has a full kitchen, living room, bath along with a TV, VCR, cable and a library of tapes. There is a large deck, BBQ grill, swingset, lawn and beautiful flower gardens with boulders throughout the property. Base rate is for 2 persons, additional persons are to be charged $25 per person, per night, to be charged at time of check in.

At home in Homer! Comfortable, peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The pictures and description on line are accurate. Lauire was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and kayaking. Our family really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again.

I found Almost Home Accommodations on line and was skeptical in booking. It exceeded our expectations. Laurie is such a sweet fun lady and friend. We will sure go back, our next visit to Alaska. My only regret is that I wish we would have stayed longer.

Directions to property:
Stay on the highway until you reach McDonalds. Turn left at that street which is Lake Street. Take that to the stop signs then turn right on East Rd. You’ll travel about a mile and then you need to turn left on East Hill Rd. The road will wind around for about 2 miles up East Hill and you will turn right on Cottonwood Lane which is the last street before Skyline Dr. Stay to the left once you are on Cottonwood and we are the 2nd driveway on the left. You will see a cabin with triangle windows near the road with the main house behind it. You can park in front of the garage and go up the stone steps to the front door to check- in if we do not see you pull up.
