This room is truly the perfect escape from the hectic pace of life and a safe haven that reaches back to a less complicated time when simple pleasures were more highly valued. Inspired by the Shaker designs of the late 18th and early 19thcenturies, at first glance Simple Pleasures seems less ornate – but don’t be fooled.
As you enter this cozy room, your eyes are first drawn to a beautifully adorned queen sized Select Comfort bed that is perfect for an afternoon of snuggling or a well desired nap. Quickly, your eye perceives a full wall of built-in shelves and desk area and then a nested reading nook that will draw you toward a simpler “Way of Life.” Take time to hand write a letter to a classmate from your school days or to a special friend. Curl up in the reading nook and explore that novel you have always wanted to read.
For those seeking an excursion into nature from within the safe confines of a fully screened country porch - we suggest “The Sleeping Porch.” Select this “bug free room” to make an adventure out of an overnight stay. In this unique, open air accommodation sip hot chocolate and enjoy the majestic beauty of a southern sunset while rocking gently in the old-style rocking chairs that adorn your own sitting area. Let the pressures of life and “that aching back” relax as you indulge yourself in the unique “steam room” that adjoins the porch. Fall asleep on a comfortable king-size bed while viewing the southern night skies and enjoy a cool evening breeze. Awake, refreshed to songs of the birds and sounds of nature. Our gazebo set surrounded by wildflowers and over looking Weaver Branch Creek is the perfect for a wedding or just to set and relax.
