Best EVER Bed & Breakfast! Perfect Hideaway!

    September 06, 2012

My husband and I just spent our first weekend at Twin Oaks and cannot wait to return! Don is THE perfect host! His catered guacamole is THE best I have ever had! VERY FRESH and I am a picky eater! We LOVED staying at Twin Oaks and plan to return numerous times, just to visit Don, Sophie (his small dog) and the B&B! The rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated. We stayed in the suite upstairs, all I can say is WOW! It was so relaxing and peaceful! Don is working on an observatory to stargaze! We look forward (cant wait!) to return! This is the perfect B&B! Very romantic, elegantly and lovingly built by Don with the highest quality of materials. Amazing detail and tucked away in the woods! We have traveled the world and can truly state with authority, this B&B is a rare gem.... simply perfect! This is the secret garden you dream of! You desire to keep it to yourself and cannot wait to return time and again. You will be filled with joy from the moment you step onto the property! Don is the perfect host! :)

    Great Stay

    July 16, 2012

My mother, sister and I had a delightful stay. Don's home is beautiful and guests have access to much of the house. The room was spacious and we reveled in the fact that were not tripping over each other. He has very romantic details which would be nice for newlyweds or a any couple. The home is off the beaten track but don't let that deter you. Don makes a good breakfast but he needs to offer some healthy options such as fruit or yogurt. All in all I would return and urge others to stay in this home.

    Great Hospitality

    May 28, 2012

We just got back from the Twin Oaks Observatory Bed & Breakfast and had a great time. Don was an excellent host. The upstairs suite looked amazing but we spent 2 nights in the downstairs room. It was clean and slept great. Both the property and the room were quiet. Breakfast was amazing.

    Amazing B&B!

    October 28, 2011

This was our first time staying in a B&B and we definitely picked the right one! This is a beautiful home in a peaceful out-of-the-way setting. Our room was amazing. The bed was very comfortable. Our host made us comfortable from the moment we pulled in. The driveway was a little precarious on motorcycles but we were able to navigate the gravel even in the dark. Will definitely stay again.

    Great place to stay

    June 10, 2011

We stayed at Don's place for two nights. What a great house it is!!!! Work of art!!!!!!!!!! We would never imagine that you can find a house like that in KY! My son (7 years old) had a lot of fun with Sophie. Don is a wonderful host. We will definitely come back.

    Kentucky Wonderful

    April 22, 2011

Nestled in the Kentucky hills, this b&b was created by a master craftsman and shows it. The guest bedroom is as fine--if not finer--than any 5 star hotel; and the rolling views are a dream.

    Wonderful Weekend!

    February 06, 2011

We had a fabulous weekend at Twin Oaks Observatory B&B! Don and his sweet puppy, Sophie, were so welcoming and friendly! The facility is gorgeous and is located in a lovely, remote location that was quiet and peaceful. Twin Oaks has so many unique personal touches all throughout the home! It felt more like we were visiting a friend than staying at a B&B and we're already looking forward to our return trip. - Julie and Andy

A beautiful home off the beaten path.

    October 14, 2010

We had a weekend getaway in the Mammoth Caves region and were looking for a romantic place to stay. This home is gorgeous and built from the ground up by the owner, Don (seriously, all the wood in the home was cut from trees on site). Breakfast was delicious and included wonderful conversation. We felt as if we were staying at a distant relation's house. Our room was huge and included a two person whirlpool tub. It's a bit of a trek from Mammoth Caves and all of the major tourist attractions, but very comfortable and relaxing. Be sure to check out the stars at night; it's amazing out there away from the city lights.
