This was one of the best place I ever had during my trips, nice room, beautiful place and surroundings, large and comfortable breakfast hall, nice tasty break fast and all the more a caring host. Staying here is a nice experience and would be ideal if you are driving to Fairbanks/Denail from Seward or vice versa to split your time effectively.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this beautiful quaint B&B on my online search. Too many B&B's overcharge and do not give you more than a bed and a muffin anymore. The owner was so sweet and took the time to talk & walk w/me to the new addition to their B&B, where I had rented a room w/ a very large private bath. Their rate was VERY REASONABLE & the breakfast basket they left in the fridge for me was very filling and healthy. I was pleasantly surprised. I will be staying her EVERY time I come to the Valley! It ranks HIGH on my list of B&B's! They also have cute cottages with full kitchens if you are traveling with a family for a short time or an extended stay. Lastly, the beautiful view of the mountain range in front of the cottages is spectacular! A MUST stay!

Great place to stay, convenient, easy to get to, but still "out of the way." Excellent breakfast (salmon quiche)
The Salmon Quiche went fast at breakfast, didn't it? We will be sure to make more soon! We enjoy offering what we grow and catch locally to our guests-- red currant jelly, black currant syrup for pancakes, raspberries for yogurt, rhubarb sauce for pancakes or toast, and salmon that was just caught the day before! Thank you for taking the time to write a review and share your experience with others!

I stayed in one of the cabins and loved it. The couch in the living room and mini kitchen was great for people who want to eat on a budget and relax at their accommodations. I loved the location of the B&B, which was off the highway, but quiet. I liked that the staff left breakfast for the next morning in my fridge, so I could take off as early as I needed to. My only complaint is that I did not care for the breakfast selection I received. I ended up buying my own food for breakfast. If the breakfast were improved, it would have been perfect.
Thank you for sharing a review! I'm happy to tell you that we are very close to reaching for what would have made it a "perfect" stay for you! Last pieces of equipment for our new Breakfast Hall kitchen are being shipped now. Soon we will debut our new full, hot buffet breakfast in the new Breakfast Hall: eggs, sausage, potatoes, fresh fruit, a yogurt "bar," oatmeal with fixings, homemade breads and muffins, cold cereal and toast, locally roasted coffee, an array of teas, and four juice choices. I hope you'll enjoy the new breakfast when you stay with us again!

I wished that I had found this last year when I had a relative staying at Mat-Su Medical Center. Very clean and the breakfasts were very good and nutritional. They were quiet and private. Karen

I recently spent 3 nights at the Alaska Garden Gate Bed and Breakfast. It was great. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The property is well maintained. It was a little over an hour drive to Talkeetna where we did some sightseeing tours. It is also a little over an hour’s drive to the Matanuska Glacier. Anchorage is not a far drive either. So, the B&B is located in an area where you can easily travel to sites on very scenic roads. The host, Karen, could not have been more accommodating. She has plenty of suggestions for things to do while you’re there. Breakfast, which was prepared fresh at the B&B, was left in the refrigerator in the room each afternoon so that you had it for the following morning. This way you are able to heat and eat whenever you’d like! Some days omelets and muffins, some days quiche and banana bread. All were delicious! The room had a coffee maker too and fresh ground coffee and filters all ready to go. I felt like I was at home, with none of the work! Stay at this place, you will not be disappointed!
Thank you kindly for taking the time to describe your time at Alaska Garden Gate! Undoubtedly this will give future guests a better idea of what we offer. It was nice to meet you and host your stay!
