We stayed for 4 nights in the Captain's Qtrs. It one of the smaller rooms, but has the view and a wonderful comfy bed. We were outside all day so it really didn't matter that we didn't have the large room. We loved this room. Great bed, comfy and warm. Outstanding view, the bay is just outside your door. The breakfast bread was YUMMY. We asked for all of Sue's recipes!!! The hot tub a blessing after a long day of being a tourist, the fire pit with all of the guests that night was awesome and fun. We had hot dogs and smores! Doug & Sue are wonderful, out of the way for service hosts. Our room was spotless! We will be back next summer.

We got married on the property and then stayed for our 4 night honeymoon. It was beautiful!! The Trophy room was beautifully decorated, comfy bed, great view, awesome breads by Sue. It was great meeting Doug & Sue, they gave us ideas for hiking, water taxis, kayaking and did the planning for our small wedding. We hope to return again. The eagle in the tree was a unexpected surprise. Everyone will hear how great your property is. Brian and Kerri Eagle River

We stayed in the Kachemak, and couldn't sleep! It was because we didn't want to miss a thing!!! Eagles in the tree, moose in the yard, daylight, glaciers, otters, and a whale spouting. The room was the top of the line, or as we say Tall Cotton! Wonderful comfortable bed, recliners, refrig, tv, jacuzzi tub and Sue's famous breads. We come every year to fish and relax at the Alaska Beach House.

We stayed here for our Anniversary. What a delight and surprise. Floweres in the room and an anniversary cake! What thoughtfulness of the hosts! The view was wonderful from the Kachemak Quarters. We stayed 3 nights and loved listing to the waves. The room was very comfortable, with reclining chairs, jacuzzi tub, large king bed. Breakfast has some of Sue's fabulous homemade breads daily, and it was placed in the room for our leisure of when we wanted to eat. NO pressure to come to breakfast or dress up right away. The hot tub was relaxing and we met some folks from Germany, California and the U.K. We plan on going there every year for our anniversary. That way we can see what new is being built. Doug is a fabulous builder.
