Best of BedandBreakfast.com Awards 2011-2012:
Top Ten Canadian B&Bs

The Best of BedandBreakfast.com Canada Award winners are not ranked, but are listed alphabetically. Winners were chosen based on the abundance of high-quality reviews they received, among other qualifications. Some excerpts are quoted below:

Sweet Dreams Luxury Inn, Abbotsford, British Columbia

“I had such a fantastic experience at the Sweet Dreams B&B. I was amazed by the size and beauty of the house, and how immaculate the interior was. My room was very cozy and spacious, including a large soaker tub, which I took full advantage of. The food was wonderful, and Dorothy and Richard were always on-hand to greet me with a smiling face. After feeling like I was away in paradise, I wouldn't hesitate twice about enjoying another great experience at this little getaway in Abbotsford's backyard.”

Bee & Thistle Guest House, Vancouver, British Columbia

“The Bee & Thistle was one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in! The inn was immaculate, and the breakfast was five-stars and abundant. Lynn and Michael were the consummate hosts and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The B&B was only a few minutes from town by bus, and the bus stop was only two minutes from the B&B. This is the only B&B to consider in Vancouver!”

Cherry Blossom Bed and Breakfast, Vancouver, British Columbia

“I can say without hesitation that Cherry Blossom is absolutely the best. It combines the best aspects of a luxury resort and the comforts of home with the most delicious breakfasts anywhere and gracious hosts who welcomed us throughout our three-night stay. Cookies by the door each afternoon were an extra treat! I recommend Cherry Blossom to anyone visiting Vancouver.”

Abbeymoore Manor Bed and Breakfast, Victoria, British Columbia

“The entire team provided us with exceptional service and gave us invaluable tips and directions during our stay. The breakfasts were gourmet and amazing! And the master bedroom was incredible! We enjoyed spending time out on the deck. We also had the Highlights of Victoria package, which was a really wonderful way to experience the inn and the different sites in and around the city.”

Fisher House Bed and Breakfast, Victoria, British Columbia

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Fisher House B&B. The location is convenient for walking to downtown in about 10-15 minutes, but in a quiet neighborhood for a great night's sleep. We awoke with sun pouring through the window the clip-clop of horse-drawn carriages passing by. Jen Smith, the owner, is extremely helpful and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. This B&B is more reasonably priced than similar establishments in the area, but offers everything you need for a carefree vacation in Victoria.”

Hillsdale House Inn, Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia

“This was a fabulous inn and the breakfast was heavenly! I slept like a baby in that wonderful queen-size bed. And the staff was welcoming and accommodating. They made me feel like I was coming home, but in much grander surroundings. I have recommended this inn to friends, and enjoyed it thoroughly.”

Graystone B&B Main Floor Suites, Niagara On The Lake, Ontario

“The proprietors could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The inn was intimate, yet the service was like a four-star hotel, including city information provided and all of our reservations made for us. We needed only share our preferences for breakfast and that is what was done. The B&B is a 15-minute walk to the center of town so you do not need a car to get around town. Theaters, restaurants, parks, and even the lake is walking distance. We highly recommend Graystone B&B.”

The Refuge Bed and Breakfast, Mont Tremblant, Quebec

“The Refuge is undoubtedly our favorite B&B ever! Our host, Robert, took care of all our needs and prepared an exceptionally delicious and huge breakfast. All the wonderful activities of Mont Tremblant are close by, and Robert is helpful with directions and recommendations. The Refuge is definitely a home away from home (except the cuisine is much better!).”

A la Carte B&B, Montreal, Quebec

"We stayed at this accommodation for three nights. The room was very clean and comfortable, and our hosts Daniel and Petra were very welcoming and helpful in providing assistance with public transport and places to visit throughout our stay. The breakfasts were excellent, well-presented, and varied each day. The location was good, with an excellent convenient bus service to the Metro Station and from there a short, speedy journey to downtown Montreal. There is a nearby shopping street with a good choice of eating establishments and a variety of shops, all within walking distance of the B&B. Overall, we found this B&B to be a convenient and friendly place to stay during our visit to Montreal."

    Atmosphere, Montreal, Quebec

“Patryck is a wonderful host, the room is huge, and everything is spotlessly clean. Breakfast the following morning was hearty and wholesome. It is in a great location, close to the town and Sainte-Catherine Street but is not noisy. There are adequate shops and restaurants within walking distance if you do not have a car. I recommend highly.”
