BEDANDBREAKFAST.COM ANNOUNCES GROUNDBREAKING SURVEY ABOUT BUSINESS-FRIENDLY B&Bs

BedandBreakfast.com survey of U.S. innkeepers reveals the best-kept secret in inn travel: B&Bs offer free Wi-Fi, flexible breakfasts and check-ins, free snacks, corporate rates, and of course, private baths.

When it comes to romantic getaways, elegant B&Bs and secluded country inns are always top of mind --- but for business travel, it's a different story. BedandBreakfast.com, the leading online B&B directory and reservation network, has always known about business-friendly B&Bs, but it took a challenge from Gary Stoller, business travel reporter for USA TODAY, to prove it. In June 2007, a survey was sent to 5,000 U.S. innkeepers. More than 1,330 B&Bs responded, and the results showed that the "B&B Bonus Factor" is high for business travelers choosing B&Bs over hotels. In a USA TODAY story (published July 31, 2007), Stoller says: "Business travelers don't usually consider B&Bs for lodging, maybe they should:" According to the BedandBreakfast.com survey, nine out of 10 B&Bs offer late check-ins and early breakfast times to accommodate business travelers, and eight out of 10 offer free Wi-Fi, TVs in rooms, and the option to invite business colleagues for breakfast. Seven of 10 B&Bs offer corporate rates or business discounts, plus fax, print, and copy services.

To find the thousands of business-friendly inns, go to www.BedandBreakfast.com and click on Search, then select Detailed Search from the drop-down box, click the Business Travel radio button and choose your destination.
