John Banczak
Chief Operating Officer
John Banczak started his career in revenue management at Northwest Airlines,
where he managed the West Coast leisure markets. He soon became the Revenue
Manager for the KLM/NWA alliance. This alliance took him to work for KLM in
Amsterdam as a senior analyst for the highly successful joint venture. After
receiving an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in 1998, he joined
Accenture's Strategic Services group, specializing in eCommerce for such clients
as Microsoft, FedEx, and Gatorade. In 1999 Banczak joined Worldres as the Vice
President of Distribution and Hotel Sales. In 2002, John put his skills to work
for Hotwire, managing the Airline Operations group as the company grew to become
the largest seller of "opaque" airline tickets, outselling its well-established
competitor, Priceline. In 2004, John joined BedandBreakfast.com, serving as the
COO.
