Welcome to the 11th Avenue Bed and Breakfast! Inside, you will find elegance, comfort and the warmest hospitality south of the Arctic Circle. The cottage entrance to the 11th Avenue B and B in Anchorage. The cottage was fully renovated in 2013 and houses the Voyageur Suite. The cottage connects via a breezeway to the new, modern addition built in 2004, which where two more beautiful guest rooms - the Odyssey and the Expedition- are located.
There are a number of outdoor sitting areas located around the property, which allow guests to relax, read, play cards and visit well into the famous daylight of the late evening hours. You can see the buildings of downtown located just a few blocks away. We're an easy 7 minute walk to all the activities, restaurants and fun of downtown Anchorage. The sunning deck at the 11th Avenue Bed and Breakfast. Guests are welcome to kick back and relax here- and most do! Picture yourself here, sipping a cool drink or a nice glass of red wine well into the evening hours, while playing cards or just visiting or quietly enjoying the long days of summer. On this deck, life is one long weekend.
The kitchen and food prep area. Guests are encouraged to avail themselves of the coffee and snacks located in the 'help yourself' area at any time. This area is regularly stocked with fresh baked cookies and breads, fruit, trail mix, fresh brewed iced tea, lemon or cucumber water, and other lovely treats daily. The area also features the beautiful artwork of skilled Alaskan Native artisans, as well as other art from the owner's travels around the world. Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, and here at 11th Avenue B and B, we make sure it's the best. Your day starts with fresh brewed coffee and tea, fruit, yogurt and muesli. We follow that with a hearty, protein based entree such as smoked salmon quesadillas, eggs benedict or scrambled eggs with reindeer sausage. We guarantee that you will leave the table fully fortified for your adventures of the day.
Kitchen still life at the 11th Avenue Bed and Breakfast. The private bath designated for the Expedition Room. Compact yet beautifully appointed, warm and welcoming. Only the best for 11th Avenue guests! (Please note, this bath is located adjacent to the Expedition Room- it is not en-suite.)
The Odyssey Room is a spacious, gracious room. This room has large windows which frame a view of the Chugach mountains to the east, bordered by beautiful birch and evergreen trees. The queen sized bed features luxury linens and is so comfortable and cozy, you won't want to get up in the morning. Thick, fluffy towels, cozy spa robes, cable TV with HBO and all the usual amenities will be waiting for you upon arrival. The en-suite bath found in the Odyssey Room. This 3/4 bath features double sinks, granite counter tops and an oversized shower. Thick, thirsty towels, lush spa robes and other amenities await!
The Voyageur Suite's bedroom, which features a queen sized bed, private bath and courtyard views. It's our newest room, and it is beautiful! Here you have the sitting area for the Voyageur Suite, 11th Avenue's newest room. Located in the 1930's era cottage and fully renovated in 2013, this end of the cottage has nice views of downtown Anchorage.
The Voyageur's private bath. It features a deep, single person soaking tub, granite counters, spa robes and amenities and soft, thirsty towels. It's compact, but beautifully designed and well appointed with lots of storage. We so look forward to meeting you in person!
