True RomanceThe Mansion on Sawmill Lake is an absolutely perfect location for weddings!
Texas Forest Country Retreat is a little slice of paradise, tucked into the East Texas pineywoods! If you're planning a wedding, this is the spot! photo courtesy of Harbuck and Co.Fall is a beautiful time at Beaver Creek Lodge. This is one of the two ponds that are on the property; both are stocked and ready for a hook.
If you are looking for a more rustic retreat, you will love Beaver Creek Lodge. This lodge is the getaway of getaways. It is located off the beaten path about one mile from the Mansion. It is secluded from the noise of traffic and people so you can enjoy the beautiful sounds of nature and just relax. With a full kitchen, stocked with all cooking essentials of home, a full laundry facility, clean sheets, and towels, this is definitely your vacation destination!
Back of Beaver Creek LodgeManning, TX was first settled in about 1867, two years after the civil war, as a small lumber camp but it grew to become the second largest town in Angelina County, next to Lufkin. In its heyday, it had approximately 1,500 people and was one of the largest southern yellow pine sawmills in the South.
Morning coffee never tasted as good as it does while rocking in these over-sized rocking chairs on the porch at Beaver Creek Lodge.
