Days grow shorter, leaves turn and the last cuts are raked and harvested. The Vermont lodging experience should give you a taste of Vermont’s landscape, Vermont’s views and Vermont’s people. Just north of Burlington amid the Green Mountains, this inn helps you experience it all as it sits above scenic valleys and misty mountains. Whether coming for skiing, fishing or biking it would be difficult to find a better lodging experience anywhere in the state.
You won’t find a more unique Vermont experience anywhere the Green Mountains. We built this stone and timber frame inn from the ground up to provide excellent lodging first. Four of five rooms have cathedral ceilings framed by large timbers making it a comfortable spot to relax after a day of biking, canoeing, skiing, boating, fishing or even touring the state for foliage hot spots.
Whether planning a Vermont wedding, a Vermont vacation or a Vermont business trip the inn has free WiFi, business class phones and excellent cell service, making it as comfortable as city lodging in Burlington.
One room in our Vermont inn offers a double queen bed when vacationing with the children or when trying to save some money by sharing with friends. Mansfield and Hazelnut rooms offer spring mattress futons for sitting or sleeping for additional guests. Vacations or weddings in this part of Vermont provide plenty to do with Smugglers Notch, Boyden Valley Winery, Mount Mansfield, Lake Champlain and Burlington nearby.
Timbered ceilings, dark beams and antiques create a comfortable relaxing atmosphere conducive with stepping back in time to Vermont rural origins. A large lounge and dining area strike similarities to the old Vermont farmhouse with its open floor plan, making it conducive with sharing good times with family and friends. The inn is a perfect place to plan a vacation or reunion with the entire family.
Plan your Vermont Vacation amidst the Green Mountains at this relaxing inn, which has great views from your room; yet it is close to Burlington, Lake Champlain and some of the best skiing in Vermont at Smugglers Notch Resort; located near Mount Mansfield shown in this photo. Plush mattresses, HDTVs, free Wifi do not detract from the cozy rooms, making our inn not just another lodging experience. Vermont's character rests as comfortably here as you will.
Your place in Vermont is unmistakable when looking out the windows from our Mansfield and Willoughby rooms. Out inn is not a bed and breakfast with shared quarters, it is a place that offers you complete privacy in your rooms, which each have private baths. Hazelnut is a first level disabled accessible room with forest views, king bed, ultra-plus hypo-allergenic mattress, private bath with shower style tub and hand wand, high definition Sony Bravia TV and quaint timber joist ceiling. A futon with a full spring mattress makes this room versatile for sitting for two or sleeping for four.
Vermont ski trails at Smugglers Notch are part of the Green Mountain landscape. Looking south east toward Burlington, it is amazing to think that this is one of the more populated spots in Vermont.A view of Hazelnut's bathroom is disabled accessible, with a beamed ceiling, curved shower rod with a tub and hand wand.
