The State Room's vaulted ceilings and exposed brick walls seem the essence of Charleston's European style charm. All of the rooms are located within the main building's original stables. In the State Room, you can still open the large bay doors into the old brick courtyard. A queen-sized rice bed fits perfectly with the antique furnishings, including a vintage hope chest at the foot of the bed. The room features a large full bath, and tall plantation doors. Hundred year old oak floors cover the length of the room. The Wurdeman Study was originally the heart of the property, being the kitchen. It was later converted into a study and then a guest room. The Room features a Canopy Cherry wood double bed, a private bath, hardwood floors, a desk & chairs and windows looking out onto the courtyard. Please note that off street parking is not included in the price of Wurdeman's Study.
The Queen Street Quarters is located on the second floor, just off the veranda. It is a nicely appointed one bedroom apartment tastefully decorated with period antiques, oriental rugs and reproduction furniture. Approximately 1,200 square ft. that includes a private bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a separate bedroom with original molding, a queen-sized Charleston Rice bed, fireplace and a Flat screen TV. The formal dining room and living room flows nicely into a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The living room features a 40" Flat screen Cable TV, stereo system and tall windows that overlook the Historic French Quarter. The Queen Street Quarters living room features tall windows, 12' ceilings, a 40'' Cable Flat screen TV, and a stereo sound system.
Our Master Suite is located on the second floor, just off the veranda. The living room looks over State Street and features plush and comfortable furniture. Antique furniture adorns each room, including a beautiful tapestry hanging in the hallway. The master bedroom’s centerpiece is a queen-sized rice bed with a well-appointed full bath off to the side. The bath features a vintage rose stained glass skylight and original oak floors. The Queen Street Quarter's Dining Room and Living Room.
