Built in the early 1900's, this Center Hall Raised Cottage reflects the grace of days gone by.In Uptown New Orleans where world famous streets cross St. Charles Avenue is graced by the historic streetcar, 200 year old live oaks and the most diverse architecture found anywhere in the world...you'll find Southern Comfort.
The large verandah, provocative and inviting, evokes thoughts of true Southern hospitality, sharing good times with friends, old and new. 

Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch swing and discuss your plans for the day.Our veranda offers the perfect opportunity to experience “the Big Easy.”  Simply sit back in one of the rockers, or our porch swing, and soak up the quiet splendor and craftsmanship of the neighboring homes.
Your breakfast awaits you each morning in our sun-filled dining room.  Have a quiet meal with your loved ones, or join the fun and meet your fellow guests.  There is always plenty of hot coffee or tea, and the smells of New Orleans style breakfast, complete with homemade sausage, are guaranteed to whet your appetite.   Why settle for cold cereal and a dry bagel at a hotel, when you can indulge in delectable, freshly prepared dishes like our waffles with strawberries, or our Crème Brulee French Toast.  Prepared with love and care, our dishes will leave you satisfied and ready to start your day.Our guests just love our breakfast! Its  a Southern thing....we have to feed you!
New Orleans is about decadence and luxury, and you’ll find that in our dining room.  The delectable dishes served to you will taste even better while you’re eating them off of our fine china and crystal.    
During breakfast, a symphony of flavors are sure to awaken your taste buds, and ready them for the rest of your day, which is sure to be full of experimentation with the local cuisine.
The Bouligny Room:  Named after the plantation where the cottage was built. This is a large room in the center of the house. With eleven foot ceilings and a mahogany inlay floor, inviting fireplace with original mantle and tiles, this bedroom transports you back to New Orleans heyday of opulence and grace.The Plantation Room:  Travel back in time and experience the splendor of our grandest room.  Situated close to our dining room and parlor, this room is perfect for guests who value spacious retreats.  The Plantation Room includes an adjoining room which can conveniently be used as a dressing room or an addition bedroom.  The master bedroom with hardwood floors and oriental rugs has a queen Belmont Plantation bed, sofa, writing desk and large antique armoire. The seven foot windows that allow light to pour into the room overlook the private gardens and pond of the innkeepers.
Guest who stay in our Horizon room have the added bonus of a spectacular view of our tropical gardens.  Tropical foliage including banana trees and bird of paradise caress the guests’ view from their windows.  The waterfall, located in our pond, will easily lull anyone to sleep in our queen, four posted bed.  This room is complete with the original tub in it’s adjoining bathroom.   You can’t experience the Garden District without gardens, and Southern Comfort brings the gardens to you.
Bask in the tropical breezes and soak up some sun in our garden.  Relax to the bubbling sounds or our pond, and take in our secret bit of nature in the city.Our seating in the garden is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy and grandeur of New Orleans.  Private and quiet, you’ll have no idea that you’re in the middle of a city, let alone the city that is known for parties and good times.
