Coast Guard HouseThe Flag Room has a nautical theme and a wonderful ocean view from the queensize captain's bed. You can watch the surfers, for Arena Cove is highly regarded for it's first class surfing. Then take a day trip to Fort Ross or Salt Point State Park.
The Coast Guard House Historic Inn offers quiet solitude and an excellent vatage point for day hikes and tidepooling without getting into your car. Bowling Ball Beach and Manchester State Beach the newly opened Stornetta Bublic Lands and the Point Arena Lighthouse are close by.Surfmen Cove is an extremely large oceanview room with fireplace. It also has a large Japanese soaking tub. This room is perfect for an in room massage, which will be happily arranged for you. Afterwards you may wish to take a day trip to Mendocino Village or take in a film at the restored 1927 Art Deco Theater in Point Arena.
A beautiful view from the Inn.Sunrise Room - The morning sunshine pours into this room, while you anticipate a wonderful multi course gourmet breakfast. Afterwards, you'll want to visit the Point Arena Lighthouse or go wine tasting in the Anderson Valley.
Most of our guests come to our inn for a relaxing and romantic get-away, to read in the garden, sip wine around the living room fireplace, soak in the outdoor hot tub or just explore Arena Cove. The inn and its grounds are an excellent vantage point for observing the California grey whale whose migratory path leads them just off-shore. Fishing from the public pier just below the Coast Guard House requires no license. Cypress Cottage's extra large whirlpool tub is snuggled up to a gas fireplace.
Keeper's Canyon is a two bedroom suite perfect for three people traveling together or for couple's with children. Don't miss an opportunity to go horseback riding on Manchester Beach and tour the Point Arena Lighthouse.Fireplace overlooking the ocean in the Boathouse
Here's a great Mendocino coast view from the bed in Cypress Cottage at the Coast Guard House
