The ocean-side of Boreas Inn has the very private and romantic enclosed hot tub (with a single key and a candle in the window--it's all yours!). Nap in the hammocks, recline on the lawn chairs, hang out on the decks--or drive 10 minutes to two stunning lighthouses and a national park! Talking about magical ocean views and wide open space. This is the view from Boreas Inn. A private bath meanders through the dunes to the 8.5 mile paved Discovery Trail along the Pacific Ocean. Five blocks south is the "Best US Boardwalk" according to USA Today!
The Dunes Suite in this romantic Washington Coast Bed and Breakfast, Boreas Inn, features a jetted bathtub, french doors opening to a beautifully furnished protected deck, perfect for dozing and reading and provides a peek of the Pacific Ocean through the dunes. Gentle ocean sounds will lull you to sleep, or walk a few steps to the private, enclosed hot tub.Talk about great ocean and dunes views! And on clear nights, The Stargazer lets you do just that--lay in bed and look at the stars through the huge west windows and the windows in the tall vaulted ceiling! A ceiling fan keeps it cool and the big feather bed below you and down comforter above you will make your night times very happy. The second floor of Boreas Inn offers the best sweeping views!
The Boreas Inn dining room is the scene of many a happy breakfast crowd. The Boreas Innkeepers lovingly prepare a 3-4 course breakfast (plus special accompaniments) each morning, served at a reasonable hour of 9 or 9:30 a.m. Go for a morning walk to the beach on Boreas' path, or sleep in. The coffee is roasted to our order and is as fresh and organic as can be. Cafe Mam is our supplier--and dear friends. The kitchen at Boreas is a busy place in the morning! Susie and Bill are often entertained by guests taking photo's and watching them prepare breakfast every morning. Boreas even has their own coffee, the Boreas Blend, with French, Italian and Espresso beans, from Royal Blue Organics' Cafe Mam. The kitchen and dining room are open, so the breakfasts are a true celebration of fun and gourmet preparation!
One of two large common areas in Boreas Inn makes it easy to read, play games, or snooze by the fireplace. The Boreas living room gives guests a grand view of the ocean and beach-side gardens. View brilliant skies, or big storms blowing by--the feeling of open space on the historic Southwest Washington Coast Pacific Ocean is unforgettable. The Garden Suite is a perfect place to forget the rest of the world. A private deck in the garden, fine linens, silk accents, an extra bed for lounging or a third person, private bath, antiques and peace and quiet. And, most importantly, two steps away from the famed Boreas Inn brownies...
The Hideaway bathroom features a large dumping shower, glass blocks and a everything you need to be comfortable. All rooms have custom robes and Gilchrist and Soames amenities. You need to bring nothing but your toothbrush!
After walking out our private path to the ocean, an over 2.5 mile paved Discovery Trail (named for the Lewis and Clark Expedition) awaits you, as well as a half-mile long raised wooden boardwalk. Boreas property adjoins a 28 mile-long beach. Walk down to the articulated whale skeleton and north to Clark's Tree, a 20 foot high replica of the tree William Clark carved his initial in on November 19, 1805 during the Expeditions exploration of Long Beach.
Boreas Inn features a three-course brunch at 9:30 am every morning. Triple Berry Fruit Soup is one of Susie's favorite fruit entrees to prepare. Cranberries (the peninsula grows about 5 % of Ocean Spray's Cranberries!), raspberries, blueberries and marionberrys are simmered in apple juice with fresh lemon, lime, cream and cinnamon comprise the soup and the dish is complemented with fresh raspberries and blueberries with a garnish of home-grown chocolate mint and a tiny bit of heavy whipped cream for a garnish. A delicious start to an amazing breakfast!Boreas Inn's owner/innkeepers, Susie Goldsmith and Bill Verner, play on Long Beach near the Inn with the North Head in the background. With dramantic views of the dunes, grasses and ocean, vibrant gardens, 3-course 9:30 am breakfasts, fresh flowers, lush beds for a dreamy night's sleep, Boreas is a dreamy way to unwind and celebrate life!
Here's where Susie and Bill cook up breakfast magic for your mornings at Boreas Inn. Boreas' kitchen is open so guests can entertain the innkeepers while they're cooking up a storm! The inn has an open, comfortable Pacific Northwest ambiance. You will never want to go home again! The Pacifica is on the second floor across from the Stargazer. Great vaulted ceiling with fan, wide open views, beautiful linens with feather bed and down on top--private bath of course. "NW Best Places" calls this the "most romantic room", but all five guest rooms have their fan clubs!
